Where is everyone from
North America here. I notice that more people live on Antarctica than in Australia. Is life in Australia really that bad? I heard it was home to about the most dangerous creatures in existence, but it must be even worse than previously thought!

the ALMIGHTY tab highlight...
For people who don't want a tab highlight, couldn't they just, well, refrain from hitting the button?

Number of available companions
Having multiple choices for companions would be ideal. BG2 offered a pretty good variety at 15 (I think) joinable NPCs, but even with that you were somewhat limited, thanks to the way the classes were done (like only one pure thief and only one pure mage). Also, if the game starts characters out at low levels (and I don't see why not), having the ability to change the focus of a character's class would be nice.... sort of like the option of making Shar-Teel a fighter/rogue and Imoen a rogue/mage back in BG1. Doing that gives options that you wouldn't have if the character were to be grounded in one class only. I haven't read anything on whether or not multi-classing is going to be possible, but I hope it is as it is.

Please make the game highly moddable and release a good toolset as one of your stretch goals
I'd agree with that. But just scripting tools by themselves would be a relief to have. A dialogue tree editor, too.

Stretch Goal - hire Justin Sweet to make portraits.
I like a lot of those portraits, but not all of them. I still dislike the scantily-clad women ones. I mean, who would adventure in some of that stuff? Sheesh! Personally, I prefer the STYLE of portraits in BG1 or BG2, though I would agree with a previous poster that a lot of them were butchered. It could have worked out much better with the portraits of just the faces had they not included all the ugly braids, etc. They look much better when some fans modified the portraits to eliminate that stuff.

Armour and weapon designs - a plea.
Yes, keep everything looking decent. Trash the typical fantasy armors (especially the ultra-stupid female "armor") and weapons. I've no idea why fantasy has been associated with twelve foot long swords, axes that have heads larger than a car, and armor that fails to provide as much protection as a T-shirt. Baldur's Gate I and II were good at avoiding this, as was Neverwinter Nights 2, and that was a bonus to the game. Honestly, if all the women had to wear chainmail bikinis and stuff in those games, I'd never have played them as it would have been way too stupid. I literally hate seeing that in games. So please, please, please keep some semblance of reality. Fantasy doesn't mean stupidity!

I'm sure people would find a way to mod the game (BG anyone?) but having a toolset released by the developers would be great! Adding in an easy (relatively) way to modify or add to the game really increases its value and makes its replay value that much more.

Random stats or Bought Stats?
Random with adjustment, like in the BG series. But, in a spirit of compromise, perhaps have BOTH options: random and point buy. I don't think it would be too hard to implement.

Character generation processes should be fun.
Here's another vote for rolling the stats. That was a fun part of the BG series that I really, really missed in NWN2. Wait...missed? Not just missed. I was truly dismayed that we just BOUGHT stats. I mean, what fun is that? Or, perhaps to satisfy both sides, have an option of point buy OR die roll? I imagine that shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Body parts and gratuitous violence
Gore doesn't interest me in the least bit, nor does it make me feel more immersed in a game. I don't mind a small pool of blood (Fallout on low gore), or the red flash that you got from a hit in BG1 or BG2, but other than that, leave it out. It doesn't add anything. IF it gets put in, then allow a checkbox (or a slider) option like was present in the BG games (checkbox) and Fallout (slider).

Same Art Style...
The known information thread states that Project: Eternity will have the same art style as the infinity engine games... so does that mean using portraits for characters? Also, does that mean staying away from typical fantasy "armor" for women (and men, for that matter)? I sure hope so! Standardized fantasy armors I find extremely stupid, to be blunt, and can bring a game's quality level down. By the way, the concept art on the dwarf looked fine to me. I'm looking forward to see where this project goes, but I'm still waiting to see if I'm that interested. Content (please leave out any stuff like that which people mentioned was in the Witcher!), etc., will play a role in whether I would support this or not. I'm sure there's more information around the forum and I'll poke through that when I find the time.
