I never even mentioned AC until you brought it up. Are you conflating discussions or something? Your reply said, "Did I miss this tremendous development in science that allows us to store electricity?" Yes, batteries allow for energy storage. Maybe your response should have been more specific, yes? AC can drive electric motors, right? Flywheel energy storage. Yes I know the difference between AC and DC, thanks. Right, "large" is vague. Pumped-storage hydropower would be large. Large-scale battery technology is just starting to be deployed, so extrapolate into the future. The limitation is in the lithium supply. No I never suggested that particular storage mechanism should be used to power LA. That's a strawman argument bordering on ludicrous. You can arbitrarily choose a counter-example by picking a large enough target pool, so it's a useless point.

Pre-2020, I'm sure.

Steak fries are evil? 🤔

Perhaps you are associating it with the Hunter Biden laptop? I do remember she reported a stolen laptop with some PowerPoint slides. Anyway, the woman in the report seems like she's just BS-ing.

Strawman argument. You claimed there was no method of storing energy. Now you switched to "large amounts" of energy. I made no such claim. Stop lying. The largest BESS in the world right now has a capacity of 300 MW/1,200 MWh, with an expansion target of 1,500MW / 6,000MWh.

More than 50% of first round draft picks prove to be busts: https://theriotreport.com/more-than-50-of-first-round-picks-are-busts-and-other-terrifying-draft-statistics/ Ironically, the team that has received the most return on draft capitol (2010-2019) is Seattle: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2020/nfl-drafting-efficiency-2010-2019 At least under Carroll/Schneider, this is team is known for trading down for more picks. Perhaps the optimal approach then is to go for volume rather than ranking?

The novel is intended as an allegory rather than a commentary on social status. But I suppose we all have agendas.

Ever heard of a power inverter? Yeah, they exist. I'm not sure you know what you're talking about.

The doors will be locked as he flies past.

Let me shine a (flash)light on your perspective...

The school was founded by an anti-vaxxer, so... consistent. Funny thing about anti-vaxxers -- you probably get a lot worse injected into your body just from the bug bites. But that's "natural" so it's okay.

With energy storage you don't need constant energy production from wind turbines, just like you don't need it from solar cells. There are many practical ways of storing large amounts of energy.

True dat

Even with an expanding cloud of aerosols, I have to think that the inverse square law still holds at low quantities -- you're going to get four times as much exposure at one meter as you do at two. Granted if an enclosed saturated with viral aerosols then distance isn't going to matter. But that's why ventilation is also important.

The Brain ‘Rotates’ Memories to Save Them From New Sensations Turns out parts of the brain are operating on a whole other level, at the same time. Fascinating really.

It probably didn't hurt that their President is such an intolerant autocrat. It's not like our relations are going to improve any time soon.
