  1. Probably only because far fewer people are likely to contribute, knowing it's already being backed by a large company. Otherwise though, what company wouldn't like to see their game development risks significantly reduced? It's like having an investment partner for a risky venture.
  2. If it were better implemented, you should have a chance to capture a prize with hostages. But I suspect that would wreck the economics of the game.
  3. I enjoyed how PoE looked; it felt gritty and plausibly realistic. The main problem was the size ratio of some of the exterior areas.
  4. Yeah they had a security breach, per their forum.
  5. Yes it's working now. It wasn't a cache issue. Ed.: Hmm, now I'm locked out. Interesting... The site's behaving like it's been hacked.
  6. RPGWatch has been down for a few days now, displaying only a maintenance message. Does anybody know when it might be back up?
  7. I don't want to rain on your parade, but you may have to resign to the fact that not every bug will be fixed in the end. So you have to make the compromise and ask "is this bug worth waiting for EOL for?" Well thanks for pointing that out, or I might never have known.
  8. I've run into one or two annoyance bugs, but nothing that booted me from the game. It's smooth as butter right now.
  9. The first play-through is the closest you're going to come to a PnP experience with this game, so players like me who waited for all the DLC will want to enjoy that experience. That's why I'm having to hold off until this is fixed.
  10. Have the Watcher settle down and have a child; you create stats for the latter based on the Watchers race and appearance. Something happens to tear them apart, then you continue their stories along separate tracks.
  11. Only #10 in firearm-related death rate though.
  12. How does one disable a trap that one can't detect? By triggering it of course.
  13. Yes, I started having the same issue. It breaks immersion unfortunately.
  14. I started having the same issue and it is disconcerting because it breaks immersion. The version I'm running is 4.0.1.0044. See also: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/107463-have-you-noticed-this-with-traps-cursor-bug-i-presume/
  15. "Perfect is the enemy of the good." It's not complacency; it's a business decision. As a business your incentive is to get the game out the door once it's in a playable condition, rather than racking up red ink to polish every little flaw. You may have some gamer grousing about it, but at least you're still solvent and able to produce more games.
