You can buy digital add-ons in the backer portal as well if you only want specific things from the Royal edition.

Is it just me or is the digital manual only available in English, at least on Steam? I know for sure that there is a locolized German version coming among the normal retail boxes so it would be very appreciated to have a digital German version of that as well... And word on that?

Same for me (Royal Edition). None of the DLC stuff is installed and I can't do anything to install it manually. Seems like Obsidian or Steam haven't released the DLC stuff of the better editions yet... @Sakai You're sure. For me it says "not installed" in the Status row in the DLC tab.

LOL, the first user troll reviews are coming in on metacritic - serious trolls would at least wait until the final release... I'm still looking forward to the review from IncGamers. Imho they are the new bastion of PC gaming.
