  1. I have a recollection that the rope and grapnel that I used to reach the pair of gloves near Gilded Vale was consumed.
  2. I am unable to reproduce this issue with my 780ti, Win 8.1 and NVidia 350.12 at either stock speeds or overclocked. I am running PoE Steam at 2560x1440 and the game goes right to the edges of the monitor.
  3. Look at the Patch 1.04 notes... "Fixed issue where occasionally a crash would occur when initializing the Steam API" This may fix your issue when it is released. In the mean time you should post your hardware and OS specs.
  4. My Kickstarter Backer achievement appeared as expected when I registered the primary copy for my backer tier on Steam. I have not yet registered the secondary copy as I am holding that for now.
  5. The game does not support WinXP, only Vista onwards and 64-bit is strongly advised.
  6. Try C:\Users\YourName\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity There may be another location in %temp% but that looks like the main one.
  7. There is also the licence cost to consider - I bet the latest'n'greatest version will cost more.
  8. I remember BBC B titles such as Chuckie Egg, Elite and Revs.. I had the BBC B because my parents worked in education so they were promoted heavily. I think there were Viglen Genies in the school with some sort of Pyramid mystery mummy game but I wasn't in the "nerd kids" group so wasn't allowed to play it. The first computer I bought myself was the Amiga 500 with the extra 512Kb memory in that steel cheese wedge. There were so many good games for the Amiga and I wasted so many hours on Angband (roguelike). Little lavender leprechauns, anyone?
  9. At 30m range the arc would only be a few cm...10cm at most... unless the bow was very weak and had a low draw weight. It is not until you get to over 50m that the arc is visible to be honest though I do agree that it is significant at 80-100m. Remember that we may be accustomed to the Hollywood representation of a large group of longbow shooting at a distance of a few hundred metres. There, you just aimed high knowing that, as a formation, your arrows would fall in a broad oval somewhere in the mass of men coming at you. When target shooting to hit something man-sized at a range of a few tens of meters, there will be no visible arc.
  10. One thing to remember is that a large audience who backed the game are getting it as a KS reward... so the audience for purchasing new copies is smaller by that amount. Some backers are even sitting on more than one license due to their backer tier so even non backers could end up not having to pay. EDIT : no idea what happened to my font size here - this is supposed to be size 18 cos it came out tiny first time.
