Tell that to poor dwarfs with no cav I understand your point of view, but GW is pulling strings on this, and actually many fans of WH were pretty happy about this asymmetry in the game, they were even quite vocal to make sure that the unit rosters will reflect the TT version.
-
Back to time sink of DotA 2, due to Manila Major hype - feeling rusty though
-
Aren't these Tomb Kings skellys? VC in the lore and in the army books do not have ranged units, it is due to specific lore reasons on how they create and control undead.
-
well they keep army rosters true to tabletop armies, so yeah VCs do not have ranged units. if you want ranged units for undead, you will have to wait for ancient Egypt themed Tomb Kings in game 2 or 3 as for Regional occupation, if you find that campaign would be better without RO restrictions, give a try to a mod that removes it. Some people like the experience with that mod.

BTW - not sure if you guys have seen this, but this looked cool

There are buildings that raise so called osmosis, which spread corruption beyond your borders + a tip, if you are in a foreign territory, do not use full move, use 75% and then change stance to a camp, that way you remove "end turn" attrition and can actually regenerate health - also, when you are in a siege mode, you do not take attrition
-
There are some ways of "dealing" with running enemies - a couple here 1) fortify your settlements and give them walls, so at least at most they will be doing some dmg while raiding the province 2) Make sure to hire agents that can block army movement as an action and use those, sooner or later your agent will succeed, and you will catch up to the army and destroy it 3) use ambush stance if there are some patches of a forest put army there - i believe that in the forest the basic ambush chance is 70% (would have to check) and sometimes AI will act as if it never saw the army in that direction - if you can set an ambush on a way to some tasty settlement without walls, it will surely try to go that way - at worst, it will use some movement points, at best, you will get an ambush battle with huge advantages 4) if you are a race that can use underway, use it. Sometimes AI can be baited into an interception battle, and if you win the battle there, the army that lost underway battle is wiped from the map

Ok, I've played enough (completed long campaign objectives for Empire and Dwarfs) of it to answer any questions to it. So just drop them! @Gorgon There are sieges, but only province capitals have walls by default - for small settlements, you need to upgrade your city center to lvl 3 AND build a level 2 guardhouse, which provides a garrison and walls - otherwise the small settlement will be a field battle as defenders sally out to meet the enemy on the open ground away from the infrastructure and civilians.

UK needs EU more than anti-EU crowd thinks, but at the same time UK needs EU less than what EU wants them to think.

I love it, just look at the intros into each campaign.... and tell me you do not want a solid RPG in that setting:

Some classics - dwarfen edition Hammer and Anvil (with a BIG Hammer) And in that moment, Orks decided that it's time to leave the party, wile dwarfs stood an laughed: They also decided to send some of them a Dwarfen Goodbye (inscribed on a piece of rock): with direct delivery to the recipient The End (it was a good day for a dwarf) -

As the battle commenced each dwarfen unit knew their role. None broke the formation, even though some of their clansmen were fighting just meters away from them: As another wave or orks reached the line, the famous downhill tumbling of the dwarfs happened: Supported by their brothers from the backlines (to a dismay of some soon to be very sad ork) -

I'll do a couple of screenies for test. lets see. Thorgrim decided to see in person, what is that commotion with some greenskin filth stirring up troubles around one of the holds And so it happened that some ork boss skulked in the woods: Dwarfs, quickly formed a line just in time to greet the orks, who were apparently very eager to meet them: -

This baby needs to wait for papa to come back from work today, then i will take care of it I am so hyped. BTW, vamps might be a bit tough for you, due to a special mechanic of vampire corruption, but give it a go, have fun! it has a S.. Load of potential. I am leaning towards Empire or Dwarfs, but Grimgor and Orks are sexy too!!!

As far as stellaris goes my first playthrough was something, i was building a federation then the void bugs came.... it set me back for like 100 years - that's how long that war lasted, but mainly becasue i feel that AI was bugged or needs simply more work when it comes to dealing with that event as i got no support from the whole fed, lucky for me, the invesion started in the far end of the federation and not my area on second play i rush vassalize species around me, as there was little good planets and i went for warp gates tech (feels really weak as you cant warp multiple fleets at the same time and it takes longer to warp the bigger the fleet is) It is surely a fun game and it has A TON of potential for good DLCs/expansion and mods Now I am overhyped at the incoming TW:WH release with all the review vids and lets play vids... i want that game now...

I will try - i hate off site only links -
This guy is pretty solid for a decent footage of any TW game: there is a huge list with written and video reviews on their website - https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/173489/review-round-up-thread/p1 I cant stresss enough how awesome would be to have a full RPG in this setting, considering how RPG elements are cool in a strategy game here (plus lore, plus quest battles etc.) EDIT: So HYPED - the music sample is amazing too:

HAH i found a world with titans! those are HUGE for assault armies, but are limited in growth they have like 1000hp and 400 morale at base - i am a bit afraid what can go wrong with me researching sentiend AI synths and one more red tech -
They are pretty confident and they gave out A LOT of review copies even to youtubers... the SP looks amazing, the main gripe is MP i guess as it is fairly barebone

LUL #postcount - that's the level of criticism of all those people...
