Still, this thread went from a photo posted by Meshugger objectively highlighting Anita's philosophies in her own words, I remarked "glad to have it on record at least" and just like that the thread suddenly devolved into all kinds of reactionary bullcrap. And strawmans. Strawmans like they were going out of style. Totally unneccesary, totally uncalled for, pretty out of left field, and ultimately unproductive.

You should totally do that! And demand ethics! Ethics are important! But sensationalist and objectively untrue statements do everybody a disservice. This is also true of Sarkeesian's sensationalist and objectively untrue claims, mind; but that doesn't give the other side carte blanche to do the same. So am I right in saying I just got strawman'ed hard? That was my suspicion but wanted to hear a response to my post. I didn't spout a word of sensationalism yet I was quoted when I called out how bull**** Sarkeesian's comments were and treated like I'm some massive anti-feminist or some crap.
