  1. Hope you're not waiting for Obs to get you the GOG keys for that...
  2. Yes, go Here and log in. Then go to your account and check the 'Products' tab Should be there if you pledged enough to get it.
  3. They used to close long threads on the old BioWare forums as well. Something to do with slowing down the search functions and the forums. Or something like that. Not sure if that's the reasoning here though.
  4. During the KS campaign for Divinity:Original Sin, Larian studios announced the physical copy would be tied to Steam but that backers could opt for a non-Steam physical version if they wanted. Obsidian hasn't said anything at all about the physical copy being tied to Steam as far as I can recall. With that in mind, I would assume the same as Jarmo that Obs will host patches and content on their site and/or other sites. As to the digital copy on GOG, I see this as a valid concern, but I personally assume it will be the same as your physical copy - i.e. a Collectors or Deluxe edition (depending what they end up calling the digital version). My assumption would be it would include all the digital content that you'd get with the physical edition you pledged for. But yeah, clarification on this would be welcome although I think with the issues that occurred with GOG and Wasteland 2 that you outlined, it would be logical to think they may have learned something from that. Hopefully.
  5. Well, it sucks that you guys didn't get the keys on time, but thank you very much for popping in here and giving us this info. Hopefully we'll get the keys early this coming week, then, so I can get into some tasty Wasteland 2 goodness. Thanks again for the info.
  6. Can you expand on this a bit? I'm not sure I'm understanding. If you have a party of 6, that means 5 extra characters. At a 5% hit per character, that translates to a 25% hit to XP. That doesn't seem 'marginal' to me. Am I misunderstanding?
  7. Again, I wouldn't worry about that. PoE is actually OBs' game, so I'm pretty certain they'll have the backers covered when release day rolls around. I was actually a bit doubtful that we'd see the GOG keys by Friday, but was hoping. Since we can always choose to activate Wasteland 2 on Steam, I kind of figured getting the GOG keys distributed on release day would end up being low priority for Obsidian. I wish it were otherwise though, as I too wanted to get some tasty Wasteland 2 gaming in this weekend (was actually hoping to get a large chunk of the game played before the new PoE Beta Backer build dropped). Oh well. It's a shame that Steam always seems to take a front seat and other options get shunted aside as an afterthought. *edit* Spelling
  8. I don't think there are any worries on that front. Wasteland 2 released on GOG yesterday, same as everywhere else. It may be a different story receiving your GOG keys for the game, but that's not up to GOG.
  9. Honestly, I don't give a crap what extras are or aren't included with the code. I just wanted to play the game this weekend, but I guess that's not going to happen. *shrug* I can wait.
  10. Yes, we know the GOG keys are up and running. However, as Volourn noed, that does nothing for those of us that are supposed to receive the GOG key through backing PoE. @Gladestone: I want the game through GOG because I prefer GOG over Steam, would like to have it on my GOG game shelf, and would rather not have the game tied to a service. Why is that so hard to understand? Incredibly, some people have different opinions than you do about Steam. Maybe you should 'get over it' instead of jumping into a thread to tell people how pathetic they are that they don't like Steam.
  11. Yeah, I actually posted in the update thread a couple times. While it's encouraging to hear they're planning on getting those GOG keys going, I really wish we could get some concrete info. I'd love to be able to DL and play it this weekend. Alas, more and more, this is looking like a remote possibility.
  12. I hate to be a whiner and a pain, but is there any word on this? I was really hoping to grab the GOG copy today so I could play through the weekend.
  13. Love that box art. Really has that IE boxed game vibe to it. Good news on the Wasteland 2 GOG keys as well.
  14. Well, hopefully someone will volunteer to do that. Unfortunately, I don't use social media.
  15. Not sure where to ask this (I posted in the Update #83 thread in the Announcement forum, but don't want it to just get lost in the shuffle), but just wondering if you guys have any news on the GOG keys for Wasteland 2 that some pledge tiers have as part of the backer reward?
  16. It's been updated once, and they're planning on rolling out an other one next week, if all goes well.
  17. I like your ideas, although I confess I have none of my own. For some reason the Ranger class has never appealed to me in any game (as of yet, anyway). So I've not even tried one in PoE so far (although this is partially due to the issues with it in the Beta). But focusing more on the link between the Ranger and the animal companion is probably a good place to start.
  18. The Amulet says: I'm just going to hang around for a while. Cloak says: Sure, I got ya covered. Rings were both fingered for the crime...
  19. Any word on the Wasteland 2 keys for GOG? I realize this is all in inXile's hands, but just wondered if they'd given you Obs guys any heads up on the GOG keys yet?
  20. This was my knee-jerk at first as well. I thought "well, now everything is vanilla". But considering it more critically, I think what it does is give you the flexibility to build a lot more varied and viable characters. You get to choose your character concept's strengths and vulnerabilities without basically being forced into a specific attribute array and trying to pigeonhole that into the concept. When every attribute has some value to the character, it's far easier to build out a concept that has a specific weakness/es or strength/s, I think. Hope I made that understandable. *edit* Yeah, what MAtt516 said.
