I am replaying Halo: CE on the Xbox One X and boy has this game aged horribly! Bad controls, bad level design, levels look as if they were made out of cardboard boxes, paper thin story... Why was the term 'halo killer' created I wonder.

I really don't understand why the world allowed this to happen: Was it REALLY that bad before the war?! I think not.

Unfortunately, this is the closest we have been to a WW3 since the Cuban Missile Crisis. Russia has vowed to shoot down any missile that is fired towards Syria along with the source from which the missiles is fired from. It is a little weird that the US has suddenly decided to intervene in Syria in such a manner. Neither side seems to be backing down. Scary stuff.

Weird stuff. On a somewhat related note: The Descent games are back on steam. I remember them disappearing from the store but here they are! Good, time to buy them before they disappear from the store again. EDIT: Oh boy!

Man, I am tired of things disappearing from stores because of legal issues. Will they ever patch the game to run without GFWL?! Noooooo, but they will remove some of the music with a patch. More reason to stick to physical copies.

My younger brother is buying himself a PS4 slim today. He lives in Sweden so it will be nice to co-op with him every once in a while since I live in Iran/Tehran. I asked him to buy Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and The Division. Both games are dirt cheap by now and I finally have someone to play The Division with. I wanted to try out Far Cry 5 but I heard that co-op in that game is not the best. I might buy Far Cry 5 though, hopefully when I buy a new TV next month. I am too old to rebel against games, I'll just go with the flow I guess.

Made an appointment with my psychiatrist. At this point I am pretty sure I am beyond repair though. Still, I need to have a check up and see if there is indeed a chance for me to live life without having to take medicine. 2 x 100 Fluvoxamine a day, one in the morning and one towards the evening. If I don't take those then anxiety and panic attacks kick in. I am 36 years old now, it's hard to believe that not just 7 years ago I was busy studying computer science while working at a restaurant on the side to make ends. I even helped my older brother with his debts... Haven't really left home since 2013 though, mom passed away due to a rare type of cancer and everything went downhill from there. Dad has been taking care of me ever since. Oh well, you know what they say: 'Das Leben is kein Ponyhof'...

I like it, it reminds me of Apocalypse Now whereas later Far Cry games remind me of Disney's Mulan.

Far Cry 2 - Barra Barra

A jeep was trying to tail me in Far Cry 2 and it suddenly hit a gas tank in an outpost: BOOM! Having a whole lot of fun with this game since my rig can run it at max settings. The first time I played this game was on the PS3 and it didn't look as pretty as the PC version. Oh well,

A small reminder to people who are crying over Far Cry 2's shortcomings: It was released 10 years ago.

Replaying Far Cry 2, I instantly remembered that stealth in this game is no joke.

Play Torment: Tides of Numenera, see how bad the combat system is and you'll love every rpg that is thrown at you afterwards. Torment: Tides of Numenera was one of the biggest disappointments for me in gaming history. You would think the combat couldn't get any worse than Planescape? Think again.

That place looks more like a shelter. Tigers and other wild animals are often confiscated from regular people who try to keep them as pets and they can't return to the wild. A shelter at that point is their only option.
