Oh man, I have no idea what's going on! *launches new vegas*

Installed Fallout: New Vegas with The Uncut Mods and the 4GB loader. Tried installing the WME, but the main file is corrupted and won't download. The rest of the mods have to wait until I'm done with my current playthrough. Awesome things are happening right of the bat though: I sneaked up on some powder gangers. I was on the roof of one these rusty abandoned caravans and I noticed that on of the powder gangers was sitting in front of a table full of dynamites....you can guess what happened next.

Sweet. Did you install any mods or patches? I heard a lot of good stuff about the restoration project.

I'd say you're not burned out if you're still playing Skyrim. How many times can you dive the same* dungeon for random loot without feeling burned out? It's not like the combat system is actually "fun," so what's the appeal? I shouldn't say this on a game developer's gaming board in a "what are you playing" thread, but why not read a book, or learn some fringe hobby like sailing (admittedly, if you went to Yale or live on 5th avenue in Manhattan you probably have a few Yachts already,) or survival training (not like hoarding guns, but learning to be like Les Stroud,) or practice archery in real life (if that appeals to you,) maybe even put in some overtime if employed? Sure it's "less fun" than Skyrim, but if you're really burnt out you might as well do something else that will reset the metaphorical cooldown on gaming burnout. *Yes, the geometric layout is different, but in the end, aren't they all the same, even taking into account the 4 different "tilesets"?

Playing Aquanox on my new rig and enjoying every second of it.

I think I started using steam when the 'SiN Episodes: Emergence' game came out and I thought to myself: "wow, this is pure nostalgia. I remember playing that awesome SiN game back in 1998...I have to play this!". That's when I first started using steam. I think I'll play it again sometime in the coming weeks, though this time around, 'SiN Episodes: Emergence' is the game that will be bringing back memories.

I like steam, and guess what folks! I'm buying a new rig tommorow and I can finally harness it's true potential!

I thoroughly enjoyed Alice, I loved the various levels and the artistic interpretation of the original Alice world. Each area really had its own weird characteristics. Also the narrative was dark and compelling. It funny how we can differ on the mechanics. Once I use to the controls I started loving the jumping and floating components of the game, I guess we all have different views I really loved Alice: Madness Returns. The only thing that I didn't really like was the dialogue. The first game had an awesome way of telling the story. This game though, looked as if it was simply trying to keep up.

I really enjoyed Brütal Legend. The story and the characters are great and the final battle is simply EPIC(you haven't seen anything like it, trust me!)! But aside from that there isn't really much to do in the game. The "secondary missions" aren't really anything special. You have ambush, outpost defense, mortar and hunting missions that play almost pretty much the same(complete one of each and you have pretty much seen it all), and the racing missions...good lord, the overworld is so painful to drive in that sometimes you simply prefer to walk to your next destination instead of driving. It's obvious that these guys don't have that much experience in creating a good sandbox experience. But there are also moments in the game that you won't be forgetting anytime soon. So jokes aside, yes, it's definitely worth buying beause you get the same awesome writing/dialogue/humor that exist in Psychonauts and other Tim Schafer games, just don't expect this to be a good sandbox game. Also, a lot of people complained about the RTS elements in the game, but I personally enjoyed it(it's simple but it works). It feels really good to fly around and order your troops while something like this is being played in the background:

Damn it, what's with all the Brütal Legend hype?!

I get a heartache everytime I read Neverwinter Nights 2 on these boards. I wish I had a decent PC so I could play all those awesome PC exclusive games(The Witcher 2, Stalker SoC, F:NV with mods etc. )
