Playing some Dead Rising: Off The Record when I'm not playing Drakensang. Forgot how fun the Sandbox mode is.

what is your worst rpg game ever played?
Katphood replied to darthdraken's topic in Computer and Console
As with Neverwinter Nights, I tend to give Oblivion somewhat of a pass because I think of those games with the expansions included. For NWN, the excellent HotU bails the otherwise ho-hum game out. In my opinion, Shivering Isles is the best thing Bethesda has ever developed, which is what bails Oblivion out for me. Also, like with any Bethesda game, you can just ignore the dreadful main campaign, **** around, and create your own wacky adventures, though there is no way around the atrocious level scaling. It's weird, because I usually tend to give Dragon Age 2 a pass. I know it sounds crazy! but despite it's mediocre combat, repetitive level design and it's somewhat ugly visuals it made me really think before choosing sides between Templars and Mages, because they each had their good and bad parts. Same thing went for the most the choices I made in the game, I like it when the line between "good" and "bad" fades. This was something that was completely absent in Oblivion. Did you even have any real choices in the game besides choosing your race and class? The best Bethesda ever developed was The Pitt DLC in my opinion. -

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was a real drag. -

Hmmm, let's take a look at a few FPS games released in 1999: Requiem: Avenging Angel Aliens versus Predator Kingpin: Life of Crime System Shock 2(Bonus!) Medal of Honor Quake III Arena The Wheel of Time Half Life: Opposing force While none of these games are like what you described(except for Quake 3 maybe...), can someone please tell me why they have decided to call it 1999 mode?! Also, the Quake and DOOM your looking for weren't released in 1999, you should keep an eye out for a 1996 mode.

Bioshock: Infinite on 1999 difficulty. I am also avoiding the Dollar O Bill vending machines for the achievement(I never really used them in my first or second playthrough, a real challenge would be to finish the game on 1999 mode without upgrading any weapons). I am past Heros Hall and so far things have been going on without a hassle.

Drakensang! Check out the "view"!

Just finished Metro: Last Light. It's like Metro 2033 but simply better in every possible way(Story, Gameplay, Visuals, Controls...). A very enjoyable experience from start to finish. Highly Recommended! I also replayed Bioshock: Infinite and I liked it a little better this time around. I suddenly found the whole quantum-physics-themed-story to be entertaining. ...and now, I need money for Age of Decadence.

That's Drakensang, a game in the The Dark Eye universe(a german Roleplaying game). You should definitely give it a try, it's a rewarding experience right from the start. The only thing that has annoyed me so far is the camera, it can be pretty bothersome to constantly change the camera in closed spaces and dungeons. On a different note, I just noticed that Metro: Last Light and Bioshock: Infinite are now available on the PS Plus Instant Game Collection...*faints*

How Is Chris Avellone able to do all this?
Katphood replied to Darth Trethon's topic in Obsidian General
My guess is that he is probably busy with PoE. He must be done with Wasteland 2 by now and there is still much time left for Torment. I just hope we will see a healthy dose of his work in PoE...so excited for that game! -
With Kickstarter around, I wish someone would come up with the idea of making a Role-playing game based on the Deadlands universe...or maybe Underground.

Bought the Jedi Knight collection. The first two games in the series are pure nostalgia, especially Dark Forces II.

Started Drakensang again, this time with an Amazon(guess I'll find out whether that's a good choice for the first playthrough) and again I forgot to change the default name. Just noticed that my character is called 'Yannis von Schetzenek'...

Are you playing the PC version? If so, how is the performance? Heard the PC version had a lot of bugs. I had zero issues when I played it. That sounds great! Oh man, can't wait to replay that game on he PC.
