  1. Well, you know that some RPGs are designed with options to make everybody happy. But since you can never impress everyone in everything, how do you think K3 should be? Should it be made to impress every KOTOR player a little bit, leaving everybody a little bit satisfied with the gameplay but none overly satisfied, OR should K3 be made to impress most K3 players a lot and having the fun factor a lot higher for those players, yet a very small percentage of KOTOR players will feel left out and unsatisfied? Remember, you can never impress everybody with anything you do.
  2. I'm sure a bullet will go a lot faster than a Jedi's hand when he raises it to do force push.
  3. The M249 is a lightweight, individually portable machine gun capable of delivering a large volume of effective fire to support infantry squad operations. It is belt-fed, gas-operated, air cooled and fires from the open bolt position. It can be fired from the shoulder, hip, underarm, or bipod-steadied position. It'll tear through the Jedi's robes in no time. And let's see one Jedi try to deflect all 5.56mm rounds coming at him at 915 meters/sec and 725 rounds per minute with his lightsaber. Even if he does strike a metallic round with his lightsaber, wouldn't it just turn the round into a red hot molten slug that will keep coming at the Jedi without altering the same velocity a whole lot? 4. I think my grammar is almost flawless, to those who wish to be a grammar nazi about it. I generally simplify paragraphs to save people's moniter screen space so people won't have to scroll down too much to read entire posts. As well as slightly faster load times for those 56kers by roughly a whole .00000001 seconds. :D The post is still composed of the same exact words, after all. Just read. Anyhow if you noticed, I've always given a reason for all of my posts. You may disagree with some ideas, but hey... it's just a debate. No need hate the poster over an issue you don't disagree with. Don't hate the messenger. If you disagree with the idea of the post then state why you disagree in a civilized manner. And Jade Empire has this feature. There is a machine in that game which you can activate that would temporarily change your character to the opposite sex. I'm just suggesting to implement it in KOTOR and to have a bigger role.
  5. What makes you think I posted this for humor??? This thing is in REAL LIFE! And Star Wars is a universe with VARIETIES. C'mon, don't you think that it is time to put a stop to the male/female arguments going on around here? Please, let's keep a civil discussion without any personal attacks. I know not everybody has the same viewpoint on all ideas. Use your imagination guys, and keep it simple and state whether you agree/disagree and the reason why this idea will or will not make a nice addition to KOTOR.
  6. Well, I guess to curb the protagonist should be a guy/chick arguments going on among players, I suggest that a quick gender change feature be implemented in the game. Say a galactic surgery station that will change your shlong into a shlong box and then back into a shlong again. Say you start playing the game as a chick, then all the male NPC's in the game start hitting on you and you're tired of it, so you take the Ebon Hawk and go to the surgery station and get changed into a guy (for maybe 10,000 credits? 20,000 if you want a good job) and then you go meet all the people that hitted on you while you were a chick, and then they all get scared and/or disgusted and leave you alone. Then as you play the game as a male, you see that there are females flirting with you this time. You beat enemies planet after planet as a macho macho man. Then at a turning point in the game, you visit a world where there are women being oppressed by the males. You want to show to the world that women can do everything men can do and more, so you take the trip to the surgery station and viola... you're a chick again! Then you go to that planet and kick the crap out of every male there, and the women all look up to you as a hero, and you continue on your quest. But as you progress throughout the game, you find out that a couple hundred grands a change will leave you pretty broke, so you get tired of paying for changes and change-backs, so you finally decide to settle with "the best of both worlds." Then as you progress throughout the game, you find out that your romance options are severely limited, and most of those who know you won't come close within a hundred yards. A few close buddies stay, but thats because they need to get the quest done. They make every excuse they can to not be in the Ebon Hawk while you are in it, though. So then you decide to change back for good, but you can't decide, male or female? But as you are wondering, the surgery station gets destroyed by an asteroid or something, then you're stuck as you are, till you find a way to change back as a galactic sidequest. Talk about sex wars redefined. Thoughts?
  7. I hope the Obsidian devs reading also don't neglect feedback from K3 Suggestion Threads from forums of other KOTOR sites like Bioware and LucasArts official site KOTOR forums. Lucas Arts boards KOTOR 3 idea thread
  8. If there was a suit that was a mix of armor AND robes, I'd prefer that. Like a heavy body armor specially designed for Force use. Like Darth Bandon's armor, no?
  9. I suggest giving Revan ALL his memory back somehow (memories may be stored by Jedi in a holocube when they wiped Revan, or as a vision in the force, or just memories start appearing from the back of Revan's head). Or at least let the main character if K3 see the memories, whoever it is. There should be some interesting cutscene movies if his memories in the Mandalorian Wars and as a Sith is shown. Maybe you can learn a cool move or two from it, like a badass lightsaber skill. Besides, a mind is a terrible thing to lose. Adds more to Revan's story in KOTOR. Also, how about making the Ebon Hawk's space-shooting mini-game more into a TIE Fighter-type sim? TIE Fighter was a blast, even though it was old game (but since it's old, but maybe it probably won't take too much time to develop for a minigame? Just a little more updated graphics?). I know that you can't maneuver AND gun the turrets at the same time since it isn't a star fighter and requires a pilot and a gunner seperately. Maybe you can cloose to steer or if NPC buddy friend steers, make sure he is good at dodging enemy spacecraft and get you in a good position to shoot. The current fixed-position mini-game is getting a bit old, so I suggest adding more to it. To have the Ebon Hawk gain more popularity among more players, I suggest arming the Ebon Hawk with better turrets to give that ship a better look. Better meaning fully automatic and faster rate of fire. At it's current semi-automatic state, it can't compete with the Millenium Falcon's double quad-repeating turrets. Make the enemies faster to compensate for it incase this makes the mini-game too easy. The Ebon Hawk's Surface Defense Cannon you used in K3 right before lifting off in Paragus is a nice touch. Maybe it can be used more, like when you are fighting enemies not too far from the Ebon Hawk and it automatically blasts them while you are fighting?
  10. Here is an idea I posted somewhere else incase of quick lock due to Suggestion Thread #6's over-the-limit quantity of pages. Add a new main enemy in K3 other than Sith Well, I guess K3 should take a change in it's repetitiveness of the first two games in the series of having the ultimate goal in those 2 games to fight the Sith and/or Jedi throughout the game in the never ending war of Light force users vs Dark force users. Why not give the Sith a break and develop a brand new enemy, say an invading hostile alien force, or droid army, or invading supernatural Force ghosts curse, or invading demons from some hell in Star Wars, some virus like the flood from Halo with special morphing abilities, or . You may fight Sith or (if you're playing Dark Side, Republic/Jedi as well for that matter) occasionally on side quests, but maybe both the Sith and the Jedi Council/Old Republic have to become temporary allies to defeat the new alien threat? Then after the threat has been defeated, you turn on each other at the very end as a twist or form a permanent alliance until the Clone War-era or something more creative. The new threat has to be badass, with new ways of fighting other than force/lightsaber combo as the Sith and Jedi does. You may fight with your Force powers and lightsaber against... say a legion of plant-beast terentatek look-alikes that uses long tentacles to whip you, or heck, maybe soldiers from Earth using M-16 bullet projectile rifles at you that are unblockable by lightsaber (even though the beginning of Star Wars states that it takes place a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away from our place and time, but maybe we Earthlings delevop some teleportation device to travel through time in the near-future?), or some other more creative idea.
  11. Since the beginning of Star Wars say that the events takes place a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away from our place and time, but maybe we Earthlings may develop some teleportation device to travel through time in the near-future. Like a really really fast space craft from a future NASA. There is a theory that if you go faster than the speed of light, you actually go back in time. This may be fitting in this case, kill two birds (going long distance and back in time) with one stone hehe. Maybe send soldiers from Earth to the Star Wars universe equipped with high-caliber and high-velocity bullet projectile rifles at you that are unblockable by lightsaber and overthrow the Jedi? Good idea for K3?

That might be who Revan went to combat. Thoughts?

  14. That romance with Bastilla was better than all the crap ones of KOTOR 2. Not trying to sound rude, just an honest opinion.
  15. I didn't like Kashyyk. Imagine having to go through a level of Gilligan Island huts again.
  16. Hey, I don't see the storyline writers who think up evil character are seeking help by the truckloads, do you?
  17. Well, you know that if you play dark side to the extreme, you become really twisted as a person. Not just in the game, but a tad of it carries on to real life as well. So what I suggest is implementing somebody in the game to keep you in line. That person will be of the opposite sex to your game character, so say you're a guy and that person will be a very hot chick. Each time you want to go to the extreme and to a bad deed/sidequest somewhere, she blocks you in the middle of it and it'll be very very annoying because it'll take like 5 min to get by her. And if you choose to fight her, well she got a remote control that can activate an implant device in your heart, and you'll get electric shocked and you pass out. And by the time you wake up, it'll be too late to do the bad deed. And if you do it too much, she'll keep you locked up in a force field thingy or with chains for a day or so to teach you a lesson. You'll have to leave your Xbox running for 12 hours so your cell time will pass when you get back to playing. You'll have to beg her to let you out, that's why you'll need a high persuade skills. But she'll be hard to BS, so tell the truth, or else she'll torture you and make you lose a level permenantly. Same goes if you try to sneak out. And she knows where you are and what you are doing at all times because you're connected to the force with her. And if you try to start a romance with someone else, she'll kick the crap out of both you and your romance partner before it gets too far. Like a hotter and much more extreme version of Kreia. And at the end of the game, if you piss her off too much during the game then you gotta fight her as the big boss as well. But if you do what she wants and stay on her good side, then she'll give you a little more freedom. Not everybody will like it, I know. But there may be some players out there...
  18. BS, the Exile served under Revan in Mandalorian Wars.
  19. Or their wife. Especially if he's a masochist. :D
  20. Signed. But wouldn't it better if this issues was taken to LA's official forum ?
  21. What? Why don't you think this could have been a good idea? I think I made this idea perfectly good. In RPG's, different people have different tastes, you know. Just because you don't like it don't mean others won't as well.
  22. IMO, if players develop the effort to form a romance in a game which they really enjoyed playing, some of them may develop a bond or get immersed between those two fictional characters he/she invested lots of effort in. Some still want to see the fruits of that effort which they care about show up in the game's sequel, not something they had built a personal bond with go to waste. Think of it as being immersed in a romance in a love drama series. Happens with girls more, I guess, but guys get it too sometime. It's a sequel after all. If you don't want it, I suggest adding the option for those who do.
  23. Just to add more flexibility into this RPG... (can never have too many) Well, if you chose a romance in K1 or K2, some of you probably think it kinda sucks that you have the only romance of all your party members in the Ebon Hawk. Maybe you could have had some of them fall in love with each other (Atton & Mira, Carth & Junahi yuck Mission & Zaalbar yuck as well, incompatible species and all..., Atton & Bao-Der what the hell am I thinking? somebody else might be better at coming up with examples). Then you wouldn't really need to keep your romance a secret, and you can go on double-dates to Nar Shaada or Mos Eisley Cantina and you and the other character can flirt with each other's dates and have a good time. Then if there is a kissing option, you can go for a foursome and you all kiss together? I dunno, but I guess different people have different tastes, and this could have satisfied a certain percentage of gameplayer group. And if you choose not to have a romance, then you just sit back and do your quest while everybody is getting it on with each other all around you. Thoughts? This isn't a suggestion, btw, just a speculation of the past. Like Star Wars Infinites of KOTOR, what if... or if only... damnit!
  24. No matter which character you are in K3 (Revan, Exile, newcomer) the romances that you had picked in K1 and K2 should be prevalent in K3; I just don't really wanna see my efforts go to waste. I don't really care if it's by answering dialogue questions, or by a pre-game survey, etc; just as long as it's there for the plot/story/setting of K3. Maybe one for each gender to keep the feminists happy. And to keep the homosexuals happy, well maybe you can pick a never a romance option but have them miss out on some fun romance stuff? I dunno, RPG's are meant to be flexible, but there should be a line drawn with key parts of the story.
  25. And Bioware? Aside from a few voice actors.
