Long lightsaber in the main hand and a short lightsaber in the off hand is the best combo by far. And it looks the coolest.

An RPG game will FSW-style combat mixed in the combat would be great and more immpersive, wouldn't it? Not the same old whoever-has-the-most-power wins. It'll actually take some skill to use the environment to your advantage. Jade Empire has a pretty good combat system. -

Yeah, kinda like Full Spectrum Warrior mixed in the combat system. -
Did you look under his pants?

But everybody always ignore my posts there.

Well, all I know is that nothing beats the duo-lightsaber style with long lightsaber in the right hand and a short lightsaber in the off-hand. pwnt!
-
Well, you know that when you pick a character in KOTOR, that character is always right-handed. How about a setting option where you make the character that allows you to change the character to be left-handed, or maybe ambidextrous (-1 penalty in both hands, rather than the -2 penalty in off-hand). This way you don't leave out the lefty KOTOR players.

How about environment affecting combat? Well, rather than the same old combat with even ground everywhere, how about if you are on high ground during a combat, then you should have the advantage of elevation (see Episode III). If you are near a large rock or wall, then you can use that rock or wall as cover from blaster fire. And if there are explosives around and your blaster accidentaly strike them, everything around the explosive will go boom! And vehicles can explode if they get hit by a stray blaster. And if you're fighting in a star ship near a window area, you gotta be especially careful or you may get sucked into the vacuum. Maybe you can use the Force to lift up a heavy boulder and drop it on an enemy that you are in combat with? Or if you are fighting near a bottomless pit, you can use Force Push and push your foe into the endless pit. Thoughts? -

How about getting NPC's to fight each other?Well, you know on some parts of Dantooine when you were fighting beasts? How about while you are engaged in a fight with a pack of Krath hounds, you simply turn on force speed and run back to where the other civilians are, and they'll ask why you are running and you don't answer, but keep running. Then the Krath hounds come and the civilian pulls out a blaster and shoots them, or he runs away himself. Same thing in the Kinrath cave, the Kinrath can follow you even when you exit that cave area. -
I wasn't suggesting it for K3, I was only speculating how it would have been like in K1 or K2.
-
Fun factor for some people, obviously. And that's not very nice, Gab. I mean, it's so like... whatever.

But the key thing is, they can be made better.

Well, the best solution (best meaning most convenient and most profitable) to fix K2's bugs would be to make an XBox 360 version of it. They can start K2 from the way it was on the original Xbox but fix all the bugs and add a buttload of new features which takes advantage of the 360's new technologies. Who wouldn't want to buy K2 again if it came out for 360, let alone K1.

Just thought it would make a good plot. Either the memory is stored in a holocron, a disc, a droid, Bastila, whatever. A mind is a terrible thing to lose, after all.

Renting = $$ as well And when can you ever return opened software???
-
How will you know you will hate it if you don't experience it?
-
One person's treasure is another person's junk.
-
You people do realize that by picking extreme high quality for the majority, there is a small chance that you might be part of the minority who will hate it, don't you?
-
I meant generally storywise, but other interpretations of implementations can be considered.
-
Actually focusing on impressing one genre of players, the majority. Rather than attempting to reach out to everybody. Think, which way will get you the most profit?
-
It is that way in general because, to appeal to more players, you have to make more compromises. And compromise = sacrifice
-
I mean a LITTLE quality or A LOT quality. Just that the LITTLE applies to EVERYBODY and the A LOT applies to NOT EVERYBODY, only most.
-
It's actually a pretty legit post on the compromise issue (been getting enough heat from the mods about it as it is). The question is, do you want it to be good a little bit for everybody (and sucks for nobody), OR do you want it to be good a LOT for most people (and sucks a lot for some people)?
