I HIGHLY doubt that it meant that the story of Revan isn't continued. I'd say it was more like you arn't a jedi or you can choose not to be one. Or the combat is completely redone. But really, you took that line away from the line that follows it that ultimately explains what he really meant. Let me post it this way: the divergence are all those things he lists.

I think so, but remember all the other HKs? They were from a cut out side quest. There was supposed to be a factory making them. I think it was supposed to be located on a planet that was full of droids, not kidding, which also got cut.

The ending of K1 was cookie cutter, but it wrapped things up in a nice little package....even if it had frayed ends on the ribbon (aka, a little more on what happens to the people involved would have been nice) K2.....well......K2 is the lazy uncle that gives you a check.
