Mirror's Edge
IIRC the whole motion sickness thing has to do with the conflicts between what signals the brain is given by the eyes and that given by the inner ear. The inner ear says no movement, but the eyes say "OMFG! We just jumped off a building are are falling at 150MPH!" By including the little dot in the center of the screen, your eyes focus on the unmoving dot and stop telling the brain that you are moving. No more conflicting signals = no more motion sickness. Or something like that.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir Discussion
Wait... "going back to 3.5" is a bad thing?!

Yup. Had a little ball of the stuff on each side to soak up the blood.

*The* DRM thread
Yeah, that was pretty unsurprising. I'm in support of this legal action. While it might be a hassle to need to carry your DVD's with you if you want to watch them on a laptop, there is too much room for abuse in allowing full copies on the hard drives like this. How is this different than software that allows you to rip your CD's to your hard drive? No one likes carrying huge numbers of CD's around just so they can listen to all of their music.

Mirror's Edge
That one isn't bad, but that has no effect on the suckitude of the Mirror's Edge vocals.

What you did today
Two other people had theirs out at the same time I did. One was a guy, but the girl was pretty hot. She wasn't in very good shape to talk though. It's hard to talk when your mouth is full of gauze and half your face is frozen.

What are you playing now?
I'm running through the OC right now to get a character ready for my first real run of MOTB. I've only just got Shandra to join me.

Mirror's Edge
Agreed. The instrumental version is several orders of magnitude better than the vocal version.

What you did today
I think I may have been overestimating. The teeth were out in about 20-25 minutes, but I was apparently left unconscious in the chair for awhile after they finished.

What you did today
No reaction here either. I was out for about an hour and a half give or take 15 minutes. When I first woke up my legs were a little weak, but I was good to go within about 5 minutes.

What you did today
I hope yours come out as smoothly as mine did! Didn't need anything stronger than ibuprofen to completely kill what little pain I had. Was back to about 95% normal in a week.

What you did today
It was a low A. I wouldn't know what the top scorer got. The only mark I have access to is my own. Yeah, that's the one. I'm enjoying it more than the Introduction to Financial Accounting that we had to do last year, but I think that's more down to how I had already covered 90% of the same stuff in my high school courses. When you know most of what is being covered in lecture, you tend to lose the motivation to get up for that monday 9am class...

What you did today
I just got my marks back for the first test in my Management Accounting course. It turns out that I need to watch which figure I copy when putting those forms together. Still did well enough for an A at least. Hopefully I can do better than that on the mid-term tomorrow.

Mass Effect
I enjoyed the combat. The weakest part of the game was by far the side quest design. The main planets were all good to great, anything beyond that was really a big step down.

Just bringing this back up again as the Rangers now have a captain. Chris Drury will be the captain this year.

Canadian Election 2008
I've been looking around for the past week for some information on just how dysfunctional this parliament really was. It looks like they managed to pass 63 bills, which is about average, but what I'm really interested in is how many of them were confidence motions. It seemed at the time as though every other bill was a confidence motion that the Liberals walked out on, but I can't seem to find any numbers for that.
