Friends. Single player sucked, but playing with friends could be a completely different experience. We tried racing, we tried solo runs and we also shot each other in the back a lot. Locking someone in a room with a witch when they only have an uzi? Lot's of fun. :D

No, the problem is all the free updates that have been given to Team Fortress 2. It's created an expectation that future games from Valve will have the same level of commitment to providing content and that doesn't seem to be the case.

ME2 ain't 360 exclusive, but then again, so isn't Alan Wake. Are you sure about Alan Wake? Everything I can find says PC/360 only, therefore 360 exclusive as far as consoles are concerned.

Yeah, and those tech powers were also the most annoying to have used against you in the PC version thanks to the overheating bug they never fixed. Being taken down to only your sniper rifle in the final battle because everything else is permanently overheated sucks.

The only ones I could stand looking at were the full face masks. Those ones weren't so bad.

I don't know who to root for! I hate Pittsburgh, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to root for Detroit to win a for a second straight year.

That was an awesome description of his part in Reign of Fire. The only thing better is what happens during the final fight.

All this talk about Crysis makes me want to go back through and try the guns blazing, smash and grab approach through the entire game. I spent 90% of my first play through using stealth. Moving from hiding spot to hiding spot while waiting for the suit to charge. Also, the ability to jump over most outdoor walls was very helpful. Why sneak in the front gate, when you could go around back and jump over the wall, entering undetected in half the time?

Making your own fun is definitely the way to go. My favourite moment came from loading up a truck with explosive barrels, driving full speed toward a guard post and then ditching out at the last second so the momentum takes the truck into the building and blows it sky high. Then I ran past using speed and just opened a can of whoop ass on the entire base. :D

I second that. :'( I was so lonely. I kept compulsively checking the forums out of habit and that damn error message was like a shot to the nads every time. :'( EDIT: So why was everything down anyway?

The Arnold appearance got a couple cheers from some of the people in the back of our theatre when I went to see it earlier. I'm disappointed that Space hasn't been airing Terminator 2 non-stop again like the did when T3 came out. I might have to actually go buy it.

I've only tried one MMO and that was EVE. Never got past the free trial before I got bored and moved on to something else. I think I've gone through 5 or 6 trials so far, usually one every 6-8 months when I get the urge to try it again.

A group of friends and I have decided that methodically clearing a map of zombies in Left 4 Dead is no fun. We've instead instituted the Left 4 Dead Grand Prix. First survivor to make it to the safe room wins. No going back to to rescue survivors, although if someone is caught while they are ahead of you, you are obligated to help them as you run past. Playing on low gravity servers this way is ever more fun. Allows for some great shortcuts and some really stupid invisible walls.

Other than asari and quinari, all the alien races were all male. Ehh... they were? Not sure about the turians but krogans, salarians & quarians didn't seem to be all male. That was asari and quarians. Okay, show me a picture of a female turian, krogan, or salarian. There weren't any included in the game. I can't recall anything specific about Turians, but there was mention of female Krogans and Salarians in the codex. IIRC, Wrex also mentions female Krogans in one conversation.

Pittsburgh vs Carolina: I'm 0-2 with Pittsburgh and 2-0 with Carolina. Carolina in 7! Chicago vs Detroit: Once again I'm 0-2 with Chicago and 1-1 with Detroit, but this time I've gotta go with Chicago. They looked really good against Vancouver. Chicago in 6.

Maybe it's because I know how the tech works, but the people who complain about the way textures are loaded are friggin' morons. You have two choices, either you see them load, or you can stare at a black loading screen for a couple of seconds instead. Thats your choice, take a pick dumbass. (not you, I meant the typical whiny player who complains about things that arent broken) Texture pop in annoyed me on PC because it seemed so unnecessary. It wasn't that the effect looked horrible, but ME already had load screens. How much work would it have taken to extend the load screens a couple seconds to load the textures properly?

I just got back from "seeing" Star Trek. The idiot who put all that lens flare needs to be shot. I'm not entirely sure what to think about it. Something about the way Kirk acted just ticked me off, but I loved Scotty and McCoy.

You could like, pretend you didn't notice. I've had to make my case to parents about History Channel movies, so I try to avoid any non-curriculum controversy. Really? For History Channel movies? Any examples? I recall watching a few movies in history class with The Untouchables being the first that comes to mind.

Our co-op matches of L4D are starting to become more and more like versus matches. Myself and a friend have taken it upon ourselves to compete for special infected kills to the point of suicidal abandon as long as we manage to get the kill. If that means shooting the guy in front of you so he doesn't get the chance, so be it. He's now killed me right before the escape on the finale twice in a row. I plan to make sure he spends at least 50% of the next campaign dead as revenge. This is much more fun than working together. :D
