I have to admit that the game is a lot more difficult than I expected it to be. Maybe it's because of party composition or something, I don't know, but I've had several full party wipes already. I did manage to make it through the origin story (Human Noble) with only one person (well, dog) incapped thanks to a lucky critical hit by an enemy just before he died. My next full party wipe didn't happen until Lothering when I tried doing some quests out there. The Ogre at the top of the tower seemed to be rather luck based on whether or not he'd incapacitate any of your group. My first time through I ended up taking him down with Dog and a Circle Mage kiting him around the room as fast as he could. The Ogre would either pick me up and repeatedly punch me to death, non-stop ramming or various other stunning attacks that ended up with someone killed. Performance seems pretty good overall. No major slowdowns yet. Two unexplained crashes with a generic "This program has encountered and error..." messages and some absurdly long load times for the tiniest areas I've come across. Will need more testing to diagnose, but in the mean time I'm having fun.

Dang, mine's via Amazon, and they have it down for delivery on the 6th... I live less than two hours from the warehouse so I tend to get stuff next day even with the free shipping. My copy actually showed about 20 minutes ago now. Almost finished installing. EDIT: It also detected my games folder on my D drive and set that as the default install location for a custom install. Something to do with the character creator? Nice job anyway!

Amazon told me to expect shipment on the 11th. I got the e-mail yesterday and it's out for delivery right now. The mail man is late though.

It's not easy finding 1920x1200 anymore. Everyone seems to be making 1920x1080 these days. -
I ended up going reverse trick or treating tonight. We get so few people coming down our street every year and it's no wonder considering how dark it is and how few houses have lights on. We made up some treats ourselves to hand out to the people on the street that we knew well enough. Ended up with some chocolate covered strawberries (with fake white chocolate and little mini M&M eyes to look like ghosts), some peanut brittle and some dark chocolate fudge for us to give away. I went out dressed as Manny Calavera and as soon as I figure out how to get the pictures off the camera I'll post a shot of the mask I made.

You can tell Steam not to update your games if you want. Right click the game and under properties there should be a tab for updates.

What's the best place to buy NWN2 gold online

I think it's disgusting that we have to pay for the DLC, especially considering it's $10 and was finished and ready for release before the game had even come out. 10 ****ing dollars. Where did you see that it's ready? I haven't seen any such thing, just that it's in the works and will be coming "soon". I've read somewhere that it'll be a day one (or zero) DLC. I've yet to see this information, but considering the game is already out (in NA at least) it's missed the Day One window. The closest I've been able to find has been "before the end of the year".

That's quite possibly the most awesome story I have ever read. Big post ahead. TL;DR version: Sent to kidnap someone. Pretending to be his hooker goes horribly wrong. Decapitating a bartender is not what I meant when I said "Create a distraction". We still manage to complete our mission. About a month ago I attended a local convention and figured I should probably share some of the things that happened. I ended up spending the whole weekend playing a game called Alpha Omega with a bunch of different people. The first day didn't really have much in the way of memorable moments, but the second day was just pure gold of both the "totally awesome" and the "OMGWTF did you do?" variety. The game is set on earth after a variety of huge apocalypses and emergence of demons/angels which are really aliens. Future tech is all around. The more sessions you played in, the more CDP (XP) you had to allocate to advancing your character. In the first session we had 6 people. Myself - Male Human Soldier Some guy (A) - Female Human Wielder (magic user) with magic lightsaber Other guy (B) - Male Human Wielder with crazy high magic skills Woman with sprained ankle

OMG! Toronto won a game! 6-3 over Anaheim. Hagman picked up 3 goals and Toronto had 4 with the man advantage. Outshot Anaheim 39-28. Lots of penalties.

Come on Ottawa! 3-1 with 88 seconds left and you end up losing in a shootout. At least Montreal managed to come back and win their game 5-4 in OT. OT winner capped a hat trick for Cammalleri. As much as I don't like the Leafs, a win or two here and there would be nice.
-
It entertaining enough, but I don't think its fun enough to buy after the weekend is over. Especially when I've got Borderlands coming on Monday.

Steam and D2D don't have CAD pricing so it's a straight currency conversion. Impulse offers CAD pricing, yet has it at straight conversion as well.

If it makes you feel any better, I can probably get it for free Only if you send it to me. $90 ****ing dollars after tax for the collectors edition. I could get it cheaper ordering directly from the EA store and having them ship my copy across the border.
-
I hate you. So very much. I also wish to maim whoever jacked up the prices here in Canada.
-
Hey Alan! Screw you! $70 for PC? What the hell man? What the hell?

Done! Not going with Steam though. Retail box all the way!

I've almost got those last few achievements for Left 4 Dead. Three to go, but all three are varying degrees of pain in the ass. Nothing Special, Truck Stop and 20 Car Pile Up. The first just needs me to get my group together for a run. The last one needs the stupid tanks to spawn in the right areas. Truck stop is I swear impossible unless the other team is a bunch of complete idiots. I have until next week when Borderlands comes out.

Heh. The computer was from 2002 IIRC.

Numpad + and - speed up/slow down gameplay. Didn't you read the manual? That only works if your computer is fast enough. If the computer can't handle it, then game will actually slow down the gamespeed in an attempt to keep a playable framerate. My P41.7Ghz + 9600 Pro ended up at about -9 gamespeed on anything but the smallest maps.
-
Yes, but it was also released on every platform under the sun. I don't recall any other SW games doing that.

Me neither. I've never hit someone and not killed them though.
