  1. Before you go out by yourself try looking around the compound for some extra ammo to load up on. Don't forget about your secondary fire modes as well. If you run out of ammo the basic machine gun has unlimited ammo if you need it although you can only fire for so long before it has to "recharge". I found that the second machine gun that you have more effective at range than the "recharge" version so that might help you somewhat. Try not to run out of ammo when bugs are attacking you though. They do a lot of damage quickly and it takes a long time to reload, so it's probably best to reload after every kill or two. Also remember to aim properly. Once I got the hang of the different weapons I made it through the demo no sweat as long as I din't do anything stupid like let the tiger bugs surround me. They kill you very quickly... "
  2. I've actually gotten compatability mode to work for a number of games including Command and Conquer (Red Alert and the original) and Fallen Haven. Something that worked for Red Alert that might work here: Have you tried setting the installation file into compatability mode? Make a shortcut to it on the desktop and set the compatability mode for the shortcut. Once it's installed set the game itself into compatability mode as well. Not sure if it will work, but it's worked for other games so it's worth a shot.
  3. Come on people. We need you to actually send in moves this time!
  4. Um... what brought that on? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She called Meta a retard, and then refused to back down from it when Meta politely said it was uncouth and could offend certain people. Her post ended up being deleted earlier this evening. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh. I had a feeling that something had been deleted.
  5. I found one for me! Hyperion, Titan God of Light! Hyperion was probably also the god of watching and observation. Sounds like lurking to me. "
  6. Um... what brought that on?
  7. My music teacher in elementary school had a sign that said that on his door. "
  8. I think he's referring to that... "
  9. There is only one possible build he can do. An army in both places. Why not just give Austria those builds?
  10. End it now while I'm in the lead! " I'd love to keep playing if we can get people to start participating a little more. A replacement for Aishur would help this a little.
  11. Time flies when you're having fun. Or not...
  12. Steath + High Perception + High Agility + Long Range Weapon + Sniper = Never having to get close enough to a Super Mutant that'd matter. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Turbo Plasma Rifle + Sniper Character = Dead Super Mutants. " Sometime I would switch weapons just to see the neat death animations though. I really liked the one for the sniper rifle. Seemed like slight overkill to have a sniper rifle blow a huge chunk out of the guy's side though.
  13. I remember going into the game store looking for something that wasn't an RTS. I wanted to try something new and one of my cousins has introduced me to RPG's a number of years earlier so I checked out the RPG's. The clerk tried to get me to buy a Final Fantasy game and he bugged me about it after I had already told him that I had found something I wanted. I passed over both Fallout and Torment to buy BG. I remember not liking Torment because the box art was kinda creepy and Fallout had the double hurdle of being on the top shelf and having guns in it. I was only 10 at the time so being on the top shelf was a definate no for purchasing from me. "
  14. I don't know if that's necessarily true. The majority of BG players I have met are not pen and paper role-players and frequently say that they don't play any tabletop games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hadn't had a chance to play PnP until almost 8 years after I first played BG.
  15. <---- Deserving sap. Not the Thief kind of sap...
  16. Hey! Get in line! <_<
  17. I have: LOL Rules Lawyer Skool'd This Thread Sucks You Lose <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You Win <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No I don't have you win. I have added Drama and Nice Theory to my collection.
