  1. Agreed! I suppose it all has to do with how much time you have to spend on them. If you've only got a couple hours a month then it likely won't be worth it.
  2. I find that it depends on what you are trying to trade for. Strategic resources I can almost never get through trades with the exception being if my people are starting to revolt due to war weariness so I'll sue for peace and try to get a little extra for it in the process. I can usually manage to get moderatly fair trades for techs and about a 50% chance at a 1:1 trade for luxury resouces.
  3. I find it quite fun to have them ask for gunpowder when you have Cruise Missles. "
  4. You realize that now I have to go back and play Tiberian Sun now right?
  5. I like my suggestion best. <_<
  6. Neutrals! Neutrals! Neutrals! ^_^
  7. I'd love to have one of those (looked at buying a 5GB one awhile back) but decided that student with no job is not exactly the best way to get money for an MP3 player.
  8. Come on people. We don't want anyone else to NMR. Would also appreciate a response to one of my PM's pixies...
  9. Apparently Uru was a colossal failure for them when it didn't even leave the ground. Kinda hard to believe that it was that big a failure considering how well the other Myst games have sold. Wouldn't think that one bad game would take up 12 million units worth of money from the previous games.
  10. Link Appearently Cyan Worlds, the creators of the Myst series of games is going the way of Interplay. Reports say that there are only two people left on staff now, although they managed to finish Myst V: End of Ages before everyone was let go.
  11. While I agree with the singleplayer aspect I think the multiplayer portion could be quite fun.
  12. Russians had been warned of consequences for their actions. The leader of the grand nation of Germany today issued a statement to Empress Darkside and the Russian people about the actions of the German Navy in the north. "They were warned that further open hostilities with our Austrian neighbours to the south would cause our military to mobilize in an effort to stop them from overunning our staunch allies troops. Alas it seems that we are too late to help our neighbour out much as it has come to our attention that the Austrian territories of Budapest and Greece have fallen to invading armies from both Turkey and Russia. We sent diplomatic messages to Empress Darkside in an attempt to alleviate some of the military pressure against our allies, but all our attempts at friendship were quite rudely dismissed by all parties involved in this conflict. As such we had no choice, but to send in military forces to combat this wave of madness that seems to have taken root in the Russian population, for surely any people that would rather fight an unjust war than entertain the thought of peace with their neighbours, must have some sickness that must be stopped before it can spread to the rest of Europe." After this statement was released, the German people celebrated their leader's courageousness in the streets for his war on insanity and praised him for safeguarding their health and that of the rest of Europe from this threat. PS.
  13. I agree, unless it's a really mini player (basically a USB memory card), I expect 6gbs or better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Considering the iPod nano is extremely small 4GB for a flash based player is pretty damn good. If I had the money I would seriously consider buying one. I don't have an MP3 player of any sort just my MP3 CD player. I almost bought a 1GB Creative Muvo Micro a week back when it was on sale, but decided that I didn't want to spend the money right after I've just managed to build up my savings again.
  14. If we're talking Dragon deites for Fionavar then I think he should be Io. "
  15. Obviously. CTDs? Disconnects? There are a lot of things that could interrupt or disrupt a multiplayer game, especially one that takes +6 hours to complete. A game on a large world with many participants can take even longer. This coupled with the lack of a save function is not clever game design. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've never played a multiplayer game of Civ 3.
  16. No save function? You mean in multiplayer right? I never had much trouble getting through a match in one sitting although granted I usually played for 6-8 hours straight...
  17. Because it's the latest game to have cheating AI? Because it's more blatant cheating? "
  18. You would be "wasting" $10 now so that you don't waste twice or even three times that by buying a game that you end up hating. That's why you can rent games, to try them out to see if you like them. <_< If you're that impatient why not just pick randomly? Any information you get from people here is likely to be subjective to the posters taste in games not to your taste in games. By renting the games before hand you know which one YOU like. The only one whose opinion matters on which game is good or not is yours. <_<
  19. If you're getting it for Xbox, why not rent them first to see which one you like most?
  20. I'd guess Typhon.
  21. Hah! You'd need some kind of Super Jinxed trait in order to make that happen.
  22. Pfft. School is no excuse for missing Diplomacy.
  23. You don't need to be psychic to predict how this game is going to end.
