Where did you hear this? I know that Balsillie is supposed to be working on a deal and there is supposed to be a press conference in an hour, but I hadn't heard anything other than that. Huzzah! I broke the top 2000 in my pool! I'm still 70 points behind the leader though. :sad: Good round for me here, I managed to pull ahead of Volo in the predictions and I'm now 11-3 and will try to open up a two point lead in this round. Anaheim vs Ottawa: Anaheim may have Neidermayer and Pronger, however Ottawa also has Phillips and Volchenkov. It will be interesting to see the matchups in this series as to who gets to play against the Alfie line up front. Overall though I'm going to have to stick with Ottawa for this round. Ottawa in six. I'd say seven, but so far every Ottawa series win has taken one game fewer than my prediction.

What game is this? Supreme Commander? It's called Defcon. It's a game about nuclear war. You get to choose which country/continent/area you want to build in and then nuke everyone else into the stone age while hopefully protecting your own people.

I like to go Czar hunting with Heavy Artillery. Popping Czars from across the map is great fun and pretty easy too. czars are the flying ones...I think what happened was that my heavy arties got it down and the UEF just polished it off. Yeah, I know what Czars are. They are the giant donut shaped flyer experimental for Aeon. A single heavy artillery shot will take one down. I don't think you can aim directly at it with the artillery, but if you aim nearby and the artillery misses in the right direction it will nail the Czar.

I picked up a copy of Defcon today. If I can't run around an apocalyptic waste land in STALKER at least I can create one in Defcon.

For extra sneakiness, you target the Red player with your nukes. The little red dot is even harder to find when everything around it is red also.

That's usually only fun for people who are good at it. For schmoes like me, it's embarrassing. You just need to find a group of people that you know are worse than you are. I get my ass handed to me by about 50% of the remaining SC players on SC but I can beat all of my friends 9 times out of 10. I keep trying to tell them that I'm really not that good and they just suck horribly, but when they team up on me and still get beat down (Hello? Next time you want to team up against someone it might be best to use Ally chat to avoid telling the person about it...) they tend not to believe me. Heck they still didn't believe me when I lost horrible in the second round of a tournament. If the stupid random race thing hadn't given me Terran I wouldn't have lost so badly.
