I just hit the desert. Having some difficulty with all the super hard They've killed about half of my brown minions so far including all the really upgraded ones that I took through the dwarf area. They ate my browns that were wearing slug heads as helmets. :sad:

Had to ask on the official forums to figure out what I was missing, but now I'm on my way. My jester has added "Slayer of Perverted Paladin!" to his list.

Still working my way through Overlord. I've forged a new set of Durium equipment recently and lost 25 heavily armed and armoured brown minions. :sad: They cut through zombies like a knife through butter, but the dwarven flamethrower guard roasted them all. I guess that's what I get for trying to take him head on. This may take longer than I initially thought if I can't figure out how I'm supposed to get into the stupid castle. I'm really starting to wish the game had a good map.

How is it so far? Up until I reached the city I was having a lot of fun. I managed to get a hold of all 4 types of minions, slaughtered several hundred halflings and contemplating the re-extinction of the emo elves. The gameplay doesn't have much variation and there is a fair bit of back tracking when you discover that you don't have the right type of minion for the job. I think I might be about half way through the second area at the 10 hour mark. That would put total playtime for the first run through in the 25-30 hour range. I think I may have to purchase a new graphics card as Heaven's Peak brings my computer to a standstill even on lowest settings. My 9600 Pro ran the game at just under the 30FPS cap for the first area and only struggled in the foggy sections of area 2.

I would be playing Overlord if stupid stores would put the game on the shelf when they actually get it. You hear me Futureshop? I know you get your shipments Tuesday mornings. I used to help unload them!

I was always partial to Civ2.

I never used a No-CD Crack, since I always bought the game because I strongly believe in supporting the developers, its not like the programmers are making millions, (the majority at least.) But I can definitely see a moral upright reason for people to use one! Ill checkit out, thanks Deraldin! I buy my games as well, but I use them for several reasons. Some are to avoid the securom issues, while with others I find I'm much more likely to play a game if I don't have to go hunting for a disk beforehand. Just make sure to keep the original .EXE around for patching purposes. Now to wait for the stores to open so I can go check if they have Overlord today.

Haven't started one yet, but I probably will soon. Maybe after I play Overlord.

Where did you buy NWN2 that you found it on CD? All the copies that I've seen around here have been DVD.

I haven't played Pikmin myself, but I have heard a lot of people saying the same thing. You get a bunch of evil little gremlins that you can control as you roam the land squashing halflings and smashing pumpkins. It's got some good humour as well. You should try the demo. There should be one up on Xbox Live.

I've been playing the Overlord demo trying to keep myself entertained while waiting for the full version to come out. Only a few more days...

Except doesn't that open next week? I finally got out to see Oceans Thirteen yesterday afternoon. Ended up in the theatre with just my parents and my little brother and an elderly couple that walked in just as the previews were starting. Overall a very enjoyable movie. I haven't seen the second one so I can't compare to that. The plans didn't seem as neat as the heist they pulled in the first movie, but I can live with that.

I wonder if this is another one of those threads that ends up sucked down into the vortex of nowhere between lines of code. We had one of those once on the Interplay forums and look where they are now. I say we all make a break for it while we still can!
