Then I'd say that an awful lot of forests are going to be burning down.

Ducks resign Moen and Sundin takes a pay cut to stay in Toronto. EDIT: Can't believe some of the comments. Sundin a $1.5M player? At 36 the guy is still a point a game player!

Huzzah! I beat level eight of Fire Emblem without losing a single character! Came close once as one of my knights was taken down to 1HP, but he pulled through. Now for the rest of the game!

It's a really short demo. The controls seemed to work well. It still has 360 controller prompts which can be a little confusing when not using a 360. I'd like to see those change depending on what you are using to control the game. "Press the blue button to do this" I don't have a blue button, they are all black! I'll likely pick this game up once it comes out. I had to run with everything on low which makes it look pretty bad, but otherwise it seems to scale quite nicely. Smashing in the face of the jester was quite fun and the dialogue was entertaining.

I took a break from Advance Wars 2 today and decided to retry Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. I've played the 8th mission about a dozen times, losing a different character each time through. The most recent death had been from not realizing that the archers all had longbows (+1 attack range over normal bows) and moved my Pegasus Knight a little too close. I figured I had it all figured out this time so I went in and promptly lost a Fighter to a Thief who I couldn't seem to hit. I will beat this mission today! I will get past this damned mission! It's impossible to make it through on Hard without taking some damage so I've had to alter some of my tactics.

I really should try BG2 again. The last time I played a lot of these mods that are being mentioned weren't out yet.

I'm downloading the PC demo as I type. I really hope this one runs on my computer. Can't wait to give it a shot.

I tried out the 14 day trial last summer. I had a lot of fun with it, except for the warping in 15KM from target thing. Had a decently tricked out Catalyst.

Just finished clearing out Yellow comet in Advance Wars 2. I should probably say "almost" cleared out. I forgot to get the map to the hidden lab again. In 8 plays I think I've only picked up the map once and that was by accident. It's in one of the three initial levels that open up and the level doesn't say anything about the hidden map. Usually you get some hint during the pre-fight conversation, but not on this level. It's damned annoying. Guess I'll have to deal with not having Neotanks for Yellow Comet CO's. Kanbei with Neotanks is nasty. Really expensive, but if you can get out a couple of those tanks you can steamroll just about anything on land. I only managed a B rank on the factory mission. I was a little slow and only got 80 points for that, but Power is what really killed me. Somehow killing 3 units for every one I created and only losing 3 units total somehow managed to get me really get me 50 points for Power and 80 for Technique..

Are we including Throne of Bhaal?

Ew. Had some of that once. It left a horrible after taste in my mouth that stayed for about an hour. Haven't touched the stuff since.

I recently started working through Advance Wars 2 again. I've managed to S rank every level through Orange Star and Blue Moon except for two in Blue Moon (one was an A rank and the other was a B rank.) The A was the secret lab mission. I got an A because I didn't kill enough enemy units. On the other hand I beat it in under ten days. The B rank was the mission where you have to hold out for 14 days with Colin while waiting for reinforcements. The only way I've ever managed to beat that level is through spamming so many infantry the enemy can't kill them fast enough before time runs out. Doesn't exactly do wonders for your score though. If only I could find my copy of Advance Wars 1. My little brother lost it on me and I think I may have to buy a new one.

I personally sit about a foot, maybe a foot and a half away from the screen. Close enough that I can read text at 1600x1200, far enough away that no one else in the family can read what's on the screen. My desk is wide enough that I can fit four 19" CRT monitors side by side across the back with a little space left. I can't find my tape measure right now so I can't give you anything more accurate than that. It isn't that deep though. Only enough space for the monitor and the keyboard with a mouse width worth of space between them. Sounds like a lot of space, but it has a lot of stuff on it, usually about a dozen or more empty coke cans/water bottles, game controllers, blank CD's, a large lamp and more. I'd post a picture, but I can't find the cable for the camera and it seems that I no longer have one uploaded here.

Shall I add that to the obsessive-compulsive from earlier?

I did the very same thing. I ended up killing all the guards, because I didn't want them waking up on me.

Please tell me those aren't actual lines from the film.

Not unless I killed them before they popped up on screen. The Fully upgraded shotgun is deadly. Rapid fire, twice the spread and extra stopping power. Those were the only two critter I saw too. Im a fan of the upgraded grenade that exploded out four more grenades. I'd run in circles getting them all bunched up in a pile and then toss those in like crazy. What was the max kill bonus you guys were able to sustain? I hovered around 50. Once I hit 50 I never dropped below that mark. I managed to hit 70 as a high point. I had trouble holding it much higher because it started to gone down fast enough that in the short time between when the zombies stopped spawning for one level and began for the next, I'd be down by 15 or so.

He scored the goal that eliminated Dallas from the playoffs this year. In other news I have never wanted to win a draw more than the one I just entered. Walmart here in town is holding a draw for an autographed Corey Perry or Mike Fisher jersey. I would so like to show up when Perry brings the cup to town wearing an autographed Mike Fisher jersey. It would at least partially make up for Mike Fisher not being the one to bring the cup here.
-
He's only played a 1000 games without a cup. He's still several seasons behind Trevor Linden at 1400 something games for active cup-less streaks.

That was the funniest movie I've seen linked in a long time.

I got 5 million points before I quit.

Yes. He definitely wouldn't have been my first choice.

And Adam Brennecke, I don't care if the Ducks winning makes you work at 1500% efficiency I don't want to hear it.
