I agree. Looking at most of the units they all seem to have a kind of "plastic" feel to them that I can only hope they get rid of. I hated the cartoonish art in WC3 and I can sorta see some of that influence seeping into Starcraft. The siege tank design really needs some work.

Are there no end to the bugs with this game?
Deraldin replied to Darth Petpeeve's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I've had the problem that the OP is talking about happen to me before. IIRC everything still worked despite the screen being all black so you could just back up and zone out of the hawk. The problem seemed to go away for me when transitioning between areas or reloading an area. -
One hell of a shot. It looked like a pretty horrible shot to me. Not that I'm complaining, but Miller totally should have had that one. I suppose it's just the universe's way of balancing out the stick save he made on Spezza that he had no business stopping.

Booyah! And Ottawa is into the finals! Alfie scores the game winner in OT on a 1-on-3.

The plant was tricky but there was a wider hitbox than that of Nightmare. If you failed to hit that precise spot you'd spend your missiles quickly without hitting anything. He also did moderate damage. In hindsight though, that's pretty much how I nailed the second form of the Security Bot - by finding a flaw in the hit detection and scoring hits against it by pointing at a very specific set of pixels. The annoying part about the plant were the spores. They repeatedly knocked me off the top pillar and into the water. I thought Nightmare had a relatively large hitbox in his final form. The second part where was the most difficult. Dodging and shooting in slow mo. Almost as annoying as trying to run in water. I seem to recall that the second security bot form being quite easy due to it not being able to reach the end of the room. IIRC you could hang out on the far left at the edge of the grip bar and he can't hit you there.

I discovered that the cordless electric mower doesn't quite have enough power to cut our entire lawn. One more pass would have been enough, but no, it just had to die on me. Stupid thing. *kicks the lawnmower* On the bright side it is several orders of magnitude quieter. My MP3 player at 50% volume completely drowns out the mower noise while with the old gas mower I could barely hear my music with the player at 100% volume.

Might that possibly be Endless Zombie Rampage?

What was it that people found so difficult about Nightmare? I didn't think any of them were particularly hard. The plant thing was the most infuriating for me. First I could never remember how to get to it and anyone who's faced it knows what the second reason was.

I awoke a 6am this morning on the couch. I don't recall falling asleep nor ever lying down on the couch so I have no idea how I got there. Spent 10 minutes cleaning up the room before the maid came today. I still think it's stupid that I have to clean up before the person who is paid to clean up gets here. Went and slept for another 5ish hours in my own bed this time. Got up again and ransacked the kitchen looking for something edible to eat. Didn't find much, but managed to find some stuff to make a sandwich with. Unsure what to do now. *looks bored*

Yeah, but you knew that wasn't going to happen.

Store bought.

He just tied Heatley for 45 points and top point producer in my pool. Too bad I can only have one or the other.

They would have to demote the 2900 to a 2800 before they could do that though.

Booyah! 3-0 series lead! This has sweep written all over it. For a must win game 3, Buffalo only managed 15 shots on Emery? That is not going to win a game.

I had something witty to say in response to this, but then I realized what you were talking about. Instead I shall simply say: Hah!

Looking Glass. Most notable around here for having developed System Shock and Thief.

I slacked off today by going to the movies with my dad. Saw 28 Weeks Later then came home to watch my dad break the lawnmower so that we now have to get a new one. Mom suggested one of those new cordless electric ones, but we have a big lawn that's hard enough to cut with the gas mower. Dad suggested a corded electric mower, but once again we have a big lawn and I hate cords. I suggested sticking with a gas mower, because damnit, I'm the one using it all the time and I dislike the other options. Too bad the go kart lawnmower seems to have disappeared from Canadian Tire this year.

Sorry for the triple post: OTTAWA TAKES A 2-0 SERIES LEAD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TEAM HISTORY!
-
Oh, that's painful. Buffalo ties the game at 3 with 5.8 seconds left. Somehow I just knew it was going to happen, but that doesn't mean it was any easier to swallow.

Ack. This Buffalo-Ottawa game is much more nerve-wracking than game one. Ottawa just managed to tie it up 2-2a few minutes ago. It seems to be going the exact opposite of game one so far. Two early goals for Buffalo in the first followed by a late goal from Ottawa and the tying goal from Ottawa in the second period. I just hope this trend doesn't continue with three third period goals by Buffalo.

The bet between the mayor of Vancouver and the mayor of Anaheim I believe was that the losing mayor had to wear the winning team's jersey in their next press conference Yeah, but that one wasn't mentioned in the media here in Ontario. Seems like a pretty standard bet though. And did this thread just completely die now that everyone else's teams are out?
-
Hah! This is great. Playoff bets. The Ontario Premier and the New York Governor are betting on the outcome of the Sens-Sabres series. A months supply of Tim Hortons Coffee vs a supply of buffalo wings from Anchor Bar in Buffalo.

I blame this on Ghosta. He started a thread about Spam and now look what happened! Spambots!

We have mice around here every now and then. It's great fun watching our dog try to catch them. If they stop moving she can't see them around her big nose. She'll stand there and repeatedly prod it with he nose until it moves and then she'll chase after it. Nearly ran head first into the back of the couch last time. The mouse ran underneath it and she almost didn't stop in time. :D Chasing mice is much better than chasing wasps. Still hasn't learned from the last time she tried to eat one. <_< Not sure what happened to this one, but it didn't seem to worried about her. It just sat there on the floor while she repeatedly barked at it. We had to capture it and release it outside to make sure she wouldn't eventually try to eat it and get stung again. Dog with bee sting in the mouth = one sad little puffy faced dog.
