  1. Associating character development with your level is the worst design decision Bioware ever made. It started with NWN and became the standard in Bioware games. The second worst design decision was to take away the party, thus effectively killing party NPC banter. It's like they picked out the best things about BG2 and decided to axe them. And the gaming community just took it up the wazoo, and practically thanked Bioware for it.
  2. Should I feel insulted?

  3. I thought that even Kreia, toward the end, kind of lost qualities. I seem to remember that originally she wasn't meant to be the main antagonist. Maybe it was because of that.
  4. Cake - Dime
  5. 1. 27 2. On and off. 3. 4 hours. 4. European as I am European. 5. Portugal, Egypt, Denmark, England. 6. Yes, as I am Portuguese. 7. It has, for me, the best RTS gameplay ever, and the TBS portion of the game isn't too shabby either. 8. It would, if it wasn't a bit iffy on that department. 9. None.
  6. Like women of ill repute?
  7. I'd say that what happened in BG1 is that people filled in the blanks, and Bioware's sup par writing didn't really manage to shine through, so to speak. And yes, I'd say Torment, Anachronox, MotB, and Fallout 2 had some interesting NPCs, and perhaps better than BG2's NPCs. AS for KOTOR2 while the characters were potentially interesting, most felt incomplete. KOTOR1's characters either made me want to kill small, cuddly animals or were ignorable. Whoever wrote Carth and Bastila should have their writing licence instantly revoked.
  8. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead I wonder if this will be any good.
  9. While I agree that BG2 wasn't all that good at NPC characterization, I also think, however, that there haven't been many PC games with NPCs as well fleshed out as BG2. It's just the generally low standards of gaming writing that make it stand out for me. As for BG1, I really don't see where you're coming from. Almost all the NPCs in BG1 were mostly just the voice sets. They were good character concepts, but not much else.
  10. For that budget, you could get a 8800GT. However, if I were you I'd save a few quid and buy a 9600GT. What, pray tell, is your system?
  11. I'm pretty sure your Hentai "acquaintances" don't actually count as real people.
  12. I've never really understood this discrimination against gingerheads. What's that about?
  13. Try this song on Audiosurf. Holy mother of God.
  14. Ive never really understood this discrimination against redheads. What's that about?
  15. As this problem seems to stem from the use of pirated software, this is an issue no one can help you with, as piracy is not condoned by Obsidian. As such, if you wish to play KOTOR2, my only advice is that you buy the game. There are many retailers from which the game is available for a fairly low price. Locked.
  16. While I'd agree it's at least on par with KOTOR, I don't think NWN2's OC was quit as good as BG2.
  17. So why is "God" a proper noun, when referring to the Judeo-Christian-Islamic deity, but a common noun when referring to all other deities?
  18. I propose an experiment for people who don't know what Vegemite is: Take a slice of bread and place it on a plate. Next, open a can of beer. Pour it all over the bread. Now save the concoction it until morning. When morning comes, eat the bread. Tasty? Vegemite is kind of like that, only worse.
  19. Don't forget that Australians have Vegemite, which negates any positive factors in the Human Development Index.
  20. Audiosurf. Damage Inc. and Shout were great.
  21. Audiosurf. Anyone want to be my friend?
  22. Brunettes, although if a pretty blonde comes knocking at my door, I definitely ain't going to complain.
  23. And it doesn't really serve any purpose either. It's just uninspired filler.
  24. Assassin's Creed is pretty repetitive...
