The concept of Serafin as a wild Orlans barbarian/cipher is intriguing when entering combat.
1) Discharge various firearms and build focus.
2) Use focus to demoralize and strike fear into foes.
3) Switch to dual wield melee weapons (with boots of speed)
4) Enter into berserk state and go to town.
I mean, it's sort of like that. It's certainly true that if you touch it correctly it discharges energetic projectiles.
That's assuming it's already primed. Sometimes it needs a blow. And you gotta make sure the ramrod gets in nice and deep.
Obsidian is already a year into development and are targeting March 2018.
PS
What IS Durance's other staff? A long stick that emits a hot projectile discharge? Couldn't it just be called Durance's Arquebus?
Ships and cargo was far too valuable. Close with broadsides then board to take the vessel.
Same concept as musket/mixed arms warfare. Exchange a few volleys then charge.
The way I see the crew breakdown:
Maia Rua: Sailing Master/Pilot
Radora: Master's Mate/Quartermaster
Sarafen: Boatswain/Gunner
Rekke: Bostswain's Mate/Gunner's Mate
Everyone else: Landlubbers
It wouldn't make as much sense to only have her as a sidekick as there would be so much potential to expand on her narrative as a priestess of Magran hunting the ressurected God her order helped snuff in the first place. Making her tangential to that would be a wasted opportunity.
But including her as an NPC representing her order on a parallel hunt could work.
Investments.
To my knowledge Obsidian has said that this figure does not include investements
Yes it does.
*edit* Although the nomenclature used is fig funds.
