  1. Luka Doncic's star is rising. Could he go #1 in next year's NBA draft? http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/20668236/there-never-nba-draft-prospect-slovenia-luka-doncic https://www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/nba/2017/9/6/15885208/luka-doncic-nba-draft-2018-eurobasket-scouting-report-video-slovenia
  2. Looks like it'll be the Peralta site. http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/A-s-want-to-build-new-ballpark-next-to-Laney-12193239.php Privately-financed downtown location with freeway access right off 880 between 5th and 8th Ave sandwiched between Lake Merritt to the North and the Brooklyn Basin development and estuary to the south. Easy access to Lake Merritt BART, and good eats in Chinatown a few blocks away. Already talked to my real estate agent.
  3. I suppose Denis Villeneuve is too busy trying to cast the perfect Sting for his Dune project.
  4. Yeah, but if it happens, I guarantee that Star-Lord won't be hitting the Walk-Off.
  5. Good grief. Exitium/Rex wrote that garbage? Figures he's writing for the Daily Caller. Even his level of insufferability got him booted from the Codex.
  6. I'm partial to the Sloop of War myself. http://sidmeierspirates.wikia.com/wiki/Sloop_Of_War http://hornblower.wikia.com/wiki/HMS_Hotspur http://patrickobrian.wikia.com/wiki/HMS_Sophie
  7. The most interesting new information there is that Sawyer hasn't read Lord of Light. (And that somebody, having been briefed on the story for Deadfire, immediately recommended it to him.) Josh, you should read that book. It's good. one wonders if eothas is standing in for brahma/kali, nirriti, or perhaps even sam. more than a few parallels 'tween the book and poe lore. considering how involved josh is with the lore o' poe, am actual a bit surprised he hasn't read lord of light. HA! Good Fun! Maybe he only peeked at the "script" for Argo.
  8. Good interview. Nice tidbits on Jefferson and Aliens. I would totally pre-order/crowdfund a historical game from Sawyer.
  9. First it was Scooter Gennett. Now JD Martinez. Four homers in one game. By a rehabilitated slap hitter. Too beaucoup!
  10. A very creditable source just told me that Eder is only romanceable if the player character is an Orlan.
  11. I've been picking up my Obsidian swag whenever they set up crowdfunding for a game.
  12. What exactly are those; (is there an official requirement list)? I got the impression long ago that the AAA label meant merely the approximate amount of money they planned to sink into the project... (with any measure of quality being an incidental side effect that hopefully comes of hiring good talent and letting them work unfettered—that doesn't imply that they must hire qualified talent to be AAA though). Is 'AAA' one of those "I dunno how to quantify it, but I know it when I see it" sort of deals? I know I've seen some pretty disappointing games labeled AAA in recent years. Or is AAA code for 'targeted only at the mass consumer market'; (and all of the negative design connotations that comes with that)? Let's not over complicate it. AAA is more colloquial than quantifiable and its standards are era-dependent. Basically AAA is what is considered as a game with a massive budget, with a large development team, with state of the art graphics and/or production values for the time it was in production, and with sales expectations congruent on an exponential scale as to what is considered to be a blockbuster. Dragon Age: Inquisition = AAA Pillars of Eternity = Not AAA Mass Effect: Andromeda = AAA Tyranny: Not AAA
  13. Using the general industry accepted standards of what constitutes AAA.
  14. Obisously the DoJ and FBI are part of the Deep State conspiracy to prevent Trump's MAGA agenda.
  15. Do most of us here actually prefer "AA" Obsidian products? I do.
  16. Technically, there were two remakes. But I'd definitely go for another one.
  17. I think you're all missing my point. I'm not talking about speed. I'm talking about superstar hustle. Bonds, if anything knows his percentages. A routine grounder to the shortstop will lead to a 6-3 put out literally 98% of the time. He knows the risk to injury is not worth the trade-off in the off chance that he can reach first base safely. Unlike Bryce Harper, Barry Bonds knows his value and is not so silly as to have gotten himself injured by busting down the line with 100% on a routine grounder just to try to beat out the throw.
  18. As a former die-hard Giants fan and Barry Bonds loyalist, I assure you, Barry Lamar Bonds would barely jog to first base on a routine grounder.
  19. No. I'm just saying that Barry Bonds would have never gotten injured by trying to run out a single on a grounder. Because he would never even try to go hard down the first base line in the first place. I mean, why should he? His OBP is already insane and the risk of pulling a hamstring or spraining an ankle, or dislocating your knee from an all out sprint is too high.
  20. C'mon Z-Bo. 2lbs?? Really???
  21. The Story of the DuckTales Theme, History’s Catchiest Single Minute of Music https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/08/the-story-of-the-ducktales-theme-music
  22. DuckTales is back and it was glorious. Better than ever. Really great distraction in light of the brownshirts taking over yesterday's news cycle.
  23. Another underrated aspect of the great Barry Lamar Bonds: He's not going to injure himself by something silly as trying to run hard to first base.
  24. Screenshot from the Daily Stormer. Referencing Trump's "Many Sides" speech.
  25. Article linkage? It's on the news.
