  1. I am afraid that while it's certainly good to see Blatter going, I am afraid that after the next election the credo will be meet the new boss, same as the old.
  2. Unless it's an audition for a reggae band. And Nonek doesn't strike me as the bandleader for a reggae band. Sorry Nonek. It's just not you.
  3. Well, I hear Namutree has a demon possessed monkey toy?
  4. Yeah, about that... I'm afraid you may want to get in touch with an exorcist.
  5. I tried to read it, but I didn't quite understand it. It tried to make some rambling point about piracy, but the odd thing was that it didn't even mention Somalia. You would think a piece on the current state of piracy would at least mention Somalia...
  6. By the way, completely off-topic, but yes, Japan does have a strange and incomprehensible view on sexuality: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/news/artist-who-made-canoe-modelled-on-her-vagina-arrested-on-obscenity-charges-9902488.html Edit: to be sure, the strange thing here is that she's arrested and prosecuted for doing this.
  7. They are going to have to pry it from his cold, dead paws.
  8. I see that you haven't even commented on my links to movies, series and art, which is perfectly in line with what Senran Kagura. They have made a game which is a celebration about girls and big boobs and respond accordingly to the banzai-attitude that japanese have to everything they do. To top it all of, you suddenly shift to comparing it to Honda, which has a completely different target audience in a completely different market. Lack of logical coherence in your argument? Check! And you seem completely unable to grasp my point, the guy is the producer of the game for a corporation\business. Therefore the rules of corporate apply, you shouldn't make offensive comments or derogatory statements. Its fine to say " but this is his target audience ", that's not the point He is encouraging sales and interest in the game by degrading and denigrating women...it shouldn't even be a discussion. We should just be saying " its not necessary to make comments like that " Honestly Bruce, I am actually someone who would in reality never ever make a "crass" remark about women, but your continued attempts at thought policing other people make even me want to take to social media and loudly proclaim my admiration for women's boobies.
  9. I understand the curve going up and then down again, but why does it go up again? Did the subject win an eating contest?

  11. That ought to teach you to look after your children.
  12. By the way, for those who don't follow football and don't know who Blatter is, this is all you need to know about the man: The woman is asking for a minute of silence for the passing of Mandela, but Blatter decides eleven seconds is more than enough.
  13. Would be hilarious if EUFA pulled out of FIFA. Probably won't happen, but I would love to see the reaction from sponsors.

  15. My recollection of the movie may be a bit hazy, since I last saw it as a child, but I am pretty sure the movie doesn't end that way. I am reasonably sure I would have remembered. Yeah I meant end of the book, not end of the film. Its why I've never seen the film, the end of the book traumatized me so. Oh, I know you meant the book, I was just saying the movie didn't end that way.

  17. And of course Putin is quick to denounce these events as an American plot against his good friend Sepp.
  18. What a cheery thought. Yeah, I thought a bit of context and levity is in order...this thread was depressing me You don't like Disney songs?
  19. Wow, all this time I really thought it was a Disney movie, ever since I saw it as a child. My world is all stirred up now. I believe I shall have to sit down for a while. But... but... The Fox and the Hound still is a Disney movie, right? RIGHT?!
  20. Is this thread now about Disney songs? I remember seeing this movie as a child in the cinema. I feel somehow that Disney still made movies that had a little something that they just don't have anymore.
  21. But think of the rich football history of Qatar, the enthusiasm of its fans, the suitcases filled with unmarked bills handed over in shady parking lots...
  22. What it boils down to, is that there are more factors to "being succesful at life" than just working hard. There are many other factors at work such as social class, your basic health, the way you look and what kind of talents and personality traits you happen to have been born with. Now, no one is saying that you should feel ashamed for having been born upper class, having good looks, having certain talents or having perfect health. And no one is saying that if you have certain obstacles in your life that you can't still succeed at life, and that it is any excuse to sit on your bum and to do nothing but whinge about it. What the comic is saying, to me anyway, is that rather than looking at others and condemning them sometimes you should instead count your own blessings, and consider that other people who might not be doing so well as you are might actually still be trying very hard, but might not have had all the opportunities you had.
