  1. To not derail the Everything's Great thread (which more or less turned into the Everything Sucks thread anyhow ), I bring you the Things That Make You Happy thread. Before the commercial break, we learned that TrueNeutral gets his happy vibes from Red Pandas. Now here is something that makes me happy, with the risk of people never looking at me the same way again: So, hum. After I've just destroyed any credibility I had left on this forum, what makes you happy?
  2. What shellfish characteristics do they have? Pincers? Antennae? I just gonna have to take it on this one. You're welcome. Sorry, that one was just begging for it. On a more serious note, I really don't think we'll ever be able to tell beforehand who will grow up to have certain characteristics. While I won't deny that there are certain traits that run in families, geniuses have been born out of completely average parents, and psychopaths have been born in the most virtuous families. There is still a lot of randomness out there when it comes to what determines how someone will end up. And I for one am rather glad that that's the case.

  4. I would just like to state how much I genuinely appreciate the ignore function of this board. Bravo! Very good feature.
  5. Only if you assume it really is something that can be bred out. I honestly doubt it works that way. Even if it did work that way, there are people who are bi-sexual. Or do you think that somehow bisexuality is linked to a completely different set of genes than homosexuality?
  6. Well! That's just bad form.
  7. That's it, you're out! What you mean to say is: "That's it, will you please kindly leave, sir?"
  8. Do you even magic bro? Sorry. I am not even bro.... We are all bro here. I'm not. I'm Spartacus.
  9. London now has duck lanes. http://qz.com/408647/londons-canal-walkways-now-have-duck-lanes/
  10. Just finished catching up on Supernatural. I've stuck with -even in the face of the just absolutely terrible (and not in a good way) leviathan-, and enjoyed watching, this series for a long while now even while knowing the best of the show was way in the past. But at this point the scriptwriters are really just phoning it in. Even the death of little miss perfect* didn't cause me much happiness considering how contrived it all was. For now I will keep watching, hoping that the show will redeem itself, but I am probably just fooling myself.

  12. Actually, in British English Fanny refers to ladies' privates.
  13. What's so funny about Fanny Schmeller? I have a very great friend in Berlin called Fanny Schmeller.
  14. I am glad you are choosing to honour the Netherlands with your colour scheme. I salute your patriotism.
  15. It's their money, if that is what makes them happy, fair play to them. If I had the money I would love a sweet setup like that. Probably not something as showy and I would keep it to a reasonable three monitors, but yeah. There's people who have garages filled with cars they never drive. I once met a guy who claimed his job was to take these cars for a spin because the wealthy owners didn't have the time for it, and the cars needed to be driven once in a while. That sort of thing makes my head spin.
  16. Another example of incompetence at work in Iraq: "Iraq Counts on Magic Wands to Stop ISIS Despite warnings they didn’t work, Baghdad bought $85 million worth of gadgets that supposedly detect explosives. Today, two years after the British con man who sold them was jailed, Iraqi police are still waving them around. Last summer, in the days after the group now known as ISIS began its assault across Iraq, many feared that Baghdad could soon fall. Car bombs regularly killed dozens inside the capital. Police and soldiers manned checkpoints across the city. They were Baghdad’s defense and symbols of the state’s power in the face of onslaught. To protect the capital, these cops and soldiers were armed with magic wands. They still are now, nearly a year later." http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/05/12/iraq-counts-on-magic-wands-to-stop-isis.html
  17. Back in the days when I was young and I still did that sort of thing, what it mostly did was put me to sleep. Which was alright really, because I've always had trouble getting to sleep.
  18. I'm not with you ? Are you saying a stripper or hooker can get killed in RL? I'm saying that people are complaining about how "easy" it is to use a hookers services, and then kill her and get your money back in game... when you can do the exact same thing in Real Life with similar effects. You know what would be interest but outside the scope of GTA? Making it so even if people don't catch you killing the hooker, the police could figure out you're responsible through evidence if you're sloppy and don't hide the body and whatnot. Then you would have at least 1 star forever. That would be neat. Too bad that's too much to ask for. Thats a good idea, I don't get why people would kill the hooker after services rendered. Its not worth the money ? ... What kind of thread have I walked in to?
  19. Maybe your car is something like Stephen King's Christine, but more the passive agressive kind.
  20. I would sign it, but I imagine not being a U.S. citizen would somewhat lower my credibility.
  21. ...How exactly would you solve the problem of crap food being available to low-income households? By taking said crap food away from them? 1. Make sure cheap healthy alternatives are available 2. Do a better job on educating children on nutrition Good luck with that, when every billboard out there reminds them that there are far more yummie things out there than fruit and veggies.
  22. Speaking from somewhere where there's no gun culture, I think it's not just a matter of banning guns. Over here, I don't think we don't have guns is because we're not allowed to. It's also just that.., People just don't have much desire to own guns. If tomorrow suddenly everyone would be allowed guns I don't think there'd be a long queue of people in front of stores shouting triumphantly "Yes, we can finally have guns! I have waited for this moment all my life." Then again over here people tend to live in urban areas, very close to other people. And we don't have a real culture of no go areas where white middle class sort of people would never want to be (not to the extent as in the U.S. anyway). I can imagine if you lived in the middle of nowhere you'd feel the need for some protection, even if it's just to keep the critters out. But is the main reason people in the U.S. want to have guns really to be able to defend their freedom from the government? I always thought it was to shoot that burglar in the face Charles Bronson style if he dared to show his face near your property.
