I thought this might be an interesting topic to start a thread about. To be honest, I'm not a huge poetry fan, and I don't actually read a lot of poetry. Still I find the work of some select poets appealing, and I am curious what other people here like. Also, I reckon a poetry thread is a nice distraction from the many threads here dealing with all the doom and gloom in the world. Though to be fair poetry can be quite full of that as well. :D My own favourite is quite a well known one by A.E. Housman. Quite a bit of gloom there as well, I must admit. The Laws of God, The Laws of Man The laws of God, the laws of man, He may keep that will and can; Not I: let God and man decree Laws for themselves and not for me; And if my ways are not as theirs Let them mind their own affairs. Their deeds I judge and much condemn, Yet when did I make laws for them? Please yourselves, say I, and they Need only look the other way. In my mind the best way to respond to these attacks is not to let yourself be taken over by emotions of fear or anger and paranoia of everyone who looks Middle-Eastern. Because that's exactly what these terrorists want.

To be honest I really wonder if even if Cameron would get what he's asked for, you lot wouldn't just vote against staying in the E.U. anyway. Then again the E.U. may just manage to blow itself up even before you have a chance to vote, the way things are going right now.

Personality type: axe wielding psychopath. No, not really. But it would be rather amusing if it was an option. What I got was some ego stroking prattle about how I am such a precious little snowflake, and even my flaws were really signs of what a good person I am - and that, of course, they could tell me more, if only I would become a premium member.

Hope you don't take this the wrong way, but from the sounds of it, you're facing some issues you probably won't be able to tackle all alone. You should reach out for help from somewhere, and from the sounds of it it's not going to come from friends and family (but then, I might be reading you wrong). Personally, I'd look into really getting some professional help, at the very least in the area of finance.

If it's fair that this woman can reject doing this, I think it should be equally fair for people to be able to say "Can I be helped by someone else, please? I don't want to be helped by religious nutjobs." In fact, make two separate queues. One for religious nutjobs, and one for enlightened, reasonable people.
