  1. I just grabbed all the DLC on sale a few weeks back and am on my second playthrough of DAI. I quite enjoyed it. It did feel like two different games though. The MMO-ish grinding and world exploration, then the Bioware style cinematic RPG stuff. They didn't blend it very well, but its an enjoyable game... if you have a gamepad.
  2. No. Not really even close. They've got a few modules out, and they seem to be still working on it pretty regularly. I wouldn't expect it to drop in 2016, but delays are hardly unique in game development, and given the scope of the project, should be expected. I've got a few kickstarted projects that are much less likely to ever ship. The Space Quest one, Quest for Glory one, and some game by the guy who designed Civ V. Those games look dead and are years behind schedule. And all of those were pretty small scale games. edit: I haven't followed too closely, but it looks like you can already fly a ship around and shoot stuff. No idea how good it is, but it's not vaporware. The QFG one had an update a couple weeks ago. Game has made lots of progress, but yeah, its like 2 years late for a point adventure game. Mage Initiation, the QFG style one from the guys who did all the QFG remakes was in the works for like 3 years before their kickstarter, and its like 2 years later and they announced the game is hitting Alpha soon. Honestly, I have so many games in my backlog, as long as they come out, I don't care how late they are. I think using a team based all around the world in different time zones working in their spare time is definitely not the best way to make a game though.
  3. I agree that had the US stayed in Iraq, it may have turned out better. They were working towards it. Afghanistan is a lost cause. The kinds of people who want Afghanistan to be a modern prosperous country are few and far between, while people grasping at power are much more common. This is where me and Bruce differ on what makes a good leader. Democratically elected is not a prerequisite for a good leader. A dictator can be a good leader if he keeps the wellbeing and prosperity of his country and people at the forefront. Democracy can be disasterous with an uninformed illiterate population. Sometimes it takes a literate informed dictator to prepare a people for democracy.
  4. I was intimately involved in the Iraq invasion, I admit I naively thought the Iraqs after living under the brutal dictatorship of Saddam would welcome the benefits of a Democracy....it was a lesson I will never forget Yes the USA made a mistake but they did try to fix Iraq but it wasnt obtainable, so al-maliki wanted the USA to leave and remember this http://www.nbcnews.com/id/27198274/ns/world_news-mideast_n_africa/t/pact-sets-limits-iraqi-prosecution-troops/#.V9RS9fl94b0 The thing with Democracy is that you can't force it on people. It needs to come organically. Europe had the idea of democracy from a very early stage, with the greeks, but it wasn't until the enlightenment that it really started taking hold. Other things needed to take root before democracy could. The British for instance developed ideas such as common law, a parliament of peers, etc. long before the vote was given to the common people. Rule of law and equal administration of the law was important, as was a free press and a cultural disdain for corruption. Britain had a head start on all of this as well, due to the magna carta, which is why the countries founded by British settlers went on to be stable and prosperous nations. If you take a culture with no history of democracy, a largely illiterate population, and a culture based on a violent anti-democratic religion like Islam, and try to force democracy on them, democracy will not thrive. TL:DR - It took Europe thousands of years to develop functioning democracy, beating it into a barbarian culture in a few months is obviously not going to work.
  5. Isn't the entire point of the Asari that they are a single sex race that telepathically appears as attractive to males of other species as a mating function, like the reason we see them as tentacle headed blue humans is because we are human, to Turians and Salarians they appear as attractive tentacle headed blue Turians and Salarians?
  6. Not surprising. Married women tend to be more likely to support things like traditional gender roles, personal responsibility, lower taxes, etc. And more often don't identify as feminists.
  7. Trudeau definitely lies, but i do think he is genuine about social justice issues. He cares so much about gender equality he had to make up new ministries so he could have equal representation in cabinet.
  8. They are Eurosceptic, they want to end free movement, dissolve the Euro, keep the common trade bloc, promote traditional family roles, are pro gun rights, etc. With multiculturalism a failure, immigration driving low skill wages down making the poor poorer, and the leftist feminist drive to destroy the traditional family I can see the appeal But some of these objectives seem inconsistent, you cant have the EU and the single market without the Euro as the currency and the central government in Brussels It surprises me people keep bringing this up as a reasonable objective ? More and more people are seeing this as a mistake and wish to decentralize, return to old currencies and work as partners instead. People are witnessing the erosion of the things that matter the most to them(their people, culture, heritage and identity) and the EU is actively collaborating in its acceleration and people are getting fed up with it. A soft democratic process of removing political power from Brussels, abolishment of the multicultural project (which is ironically enough destroying our cultural differences), forced integration, enforced borders and a sound policy of return of refugees will alleviate the worst of sociatal grievances and ensure a calmer future for all europeans nations. Then they can finally make the necessary structural changes to make sure that their central banks are not privately owned and controlled by their governments instead in order effectively destroy the cancer called 'globalism' (for more information on the last part, i would like to refer to the documentary 'The Princes of the Yen'). If not, then we will be heading into a manufactured crisis with a resulting war and a final death in the vein of the poem 'The Hollow Men' by T.S. Eliot. You raise some good points that are relevant to you and your personal experience which I'm sure is shared by many others in the EU In the past I have been a little condescending by these types of comments and said things like " you think you want this but you dont really " ....but I'll explain in more detail what I really mean When you say " People are witnessing the erosion of the things that matter the most to them(their people, culture, heritage and identity) and the EU is actively collaborating in its acceleration " what if you gained these things by leaving the EU but the consequence was the crash or utter dysfunction of your economy? You see basically every person on this forum who lives in the EU has probably only known about life in the EU, its not anyones fault but you guys all live in first world countries where the EU and your governments are functional. You are use to this and unintentionally take this for granted You complain about lack of sovereignty and immigrant quotas being enforced and I understand these things matter but imagine a failed healthcare system, broken government institutions, high unemployment or a government simply not caring what its citizens think. This the reality many countries and there citizens face outside the EU I am not fearmongering but I cannot see how any current member state , outside the UK, could in this current reality of such tight economic integration leave the EU and gets it old currency back and somehow be able to sustain its economy outside the EU....the economic impact would be so severe to the average citizen it would almost unimaginable So imagine a failed economy outside the EU but you have your sovereignty back ...would it matter ? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3773601/UK-economy-proving-doubters-wrong-says-Theresa-amid-signs-country-avoid-recession-Brexit-vote.html I think economic collapse isn't something that is necessarily a big concern.
  9. " Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa....the media is being unfair ....waaaaaaaaaaaaa " Volo blaming the media is like getting angry at Bioware for betraying gamers because they became more inclusive True enough. You can't fault a compass for pointing north. The media is mostly biased towards liberals. It's just how it is. You can find plenty of media of varying degrees of popularity and quality that slant right. You can tilt at windmills all day. The Wall Street Journal. U.S. News and World Report. Investor's Business Daily. Fox News. NewsMax. Breitbart. WorldNetDaily. The New York Post. The Washington Times. Etc.,.. Many people nowadays tend to get their news from sources they are already pre-disposed to agree with anyway. Check this one out, tell me what you think. I've been reading/watching for a month now. So far I haven't found a bit of bias, It's pretty straight forward & factual: http://www.oann.com/ Its not bad, it neglects certain facts like the fact the FBI found all or most of the deleted emails. We discussed this before, data recovery software works well in cases like this https://www.yahoo.com/news/fbi-finds-deleted-clinton-emails-112714810.html?ref=gs That story is old and inaccurate. She used Bleachbit, which makes the data impossible to recover. Try not to use year old stories as evidence. They get stale real fast. Edit: "The Hill" also seems fairly unbiased, although it's also a matter of which stories get coverage at all. When I read Breitbart, it's less that I like the conservative bias, it's that they cover the stories that interest me, which no one else covers. Actually WOD I can raise many inconsistencies and hyperbole based on fact about the so called " criminal behavior " of Hilary around this email scandal. I do this for a living and many things she has been accused of aren't applicable So for starters can you provide links about this " Bleachbit " ? So we can have this debate about facts but I dont think the facts really matter to you in this case? This is not attack on you, I just dont think you want your opinion changed It would be like you telling me " Trump cares about African Americans and there economic reality " ..... You can replace trump with pretty much any politician in that statement and it would be unsupportable. I suppose if you cynical and believe politicians lie that would be true but take your PM? Dont you think he believes in the importance of gender equality? Also when you hear Trump suddenly now try to be nice to the Latinos and African American it just sounds fake ....I dont believe a word he says I'm just saying, Democrats have claimed to care about blacks for a long time, but none of their policies have done anything to help them.

Why would you need a common currency to have free movement of goods? The EU as a trading bloc with free movement of goods within it and the European commission simply in charge of negotiating trade for the bloc is what most EU countries signed up for if I remember correctly.

  13. Barack Hussein Obama. Certainly not a fan of free speech (or any other kind of freedom) himself. I read somewhere that using an executive order to hand over government assets to foreign powers was a) definitely unconstitutional, and b) possibly treasonous, and that congress could easily block it
  14. Canola is good oil.
  15. New netflix original, Kulipari: An Army of Frogs. Its kind of luke Thundercats, only with frogs. Keith David plays Mamoo, leader of the Scorpion army who teams up with the Spider Queen to take down the veil put up by the Turtle King to protect the Amphibilands. Its a classic 80s/90s adventure cartoon. I love it.
  16. I look at it as getting the new Kings Quest for 10 bucks off and getting half of Sierra's back catalogue for free.
  17. Todd and the Book of Pure Evil has my favourite musical episode.
  18. I looked up whether he was still alive like 3 months ago and was surprised to see he was. Looked like a corpse though, so I didn't expect him to last much longer. Still sad though. The man did so much great stuff.
  19. I believe the CDC study didn't count "forced to penetrate" as rape. Or at least some major study on rape victims didn't
  20. Is that a show or a movie? It actually doesn't look too bad. It's a show, it airs on FOX September 21, 2016 Cancelled September 28, 2016
  21. I was already going to get it, but the character creation showing off the character art style sold me more. I like that the characters look like the promotional art
  22. I really liked John Dies at the end.
  23. Taking the boy to Kubo and the Two Strings later... Will update Update: I really liked it. Rivals Book of Life for best animated movie in the last 5 years.
  24. I don't often make soup, but when I do I usually make my own broth, then add a boatload of .
