Devil's Due is doing it. They did a good job with the GI Joe license, but what they've been doing with the Drizzt and Dragonlance stuff is not so nice. Does not look professional at all. Dragonlance is better than the Drizzt stuff, all looks painted and such, but the artist seems to like giving everyone the dumbest facial expressions possible. Anyway, I just finished reading the whole House of M event. it was pretty interesting. With Peter having all the memories of his life married to Gwen Stacy and his uncle Ben alive that could make Spider-Man a really tortured character.

Yeah he's not bad. He's suited for a Transformers movie. Wouldn't want him directing a Transmet movie or anything, but giant robots fighting with lots of explosions is right up his alley.

Not necessarily http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418279/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been following the production over at Don Murphy's forums. He calls it his experiment. Include the fans in every part of the production of the movie and see what happens. So far he says its working well, he's explained some of the things they can't do without having the movie bomb, even though some fans, such as I, disagree with. (such as he says if the movie has the TFs instead of humans as the main characters, it will bomb. I disagree. The whole point of a TF movie is the TFs.) We've come to accept most of those. The writers even came in a couple times to touch base with the fans. We've so far influenced the following things: Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are at the top of the list of possible voice actors for Prime and Megatron Originally they were just going to leave out mass shifting (20 foot tall robot turning into handheld microcassette recorder) but now they're trying to see if they can explain it without it being lame. Its still likely going to be left out, but if they can find a decent explaination they might just have soundwave in his proper alt-mode The number of Decepticons has been increased from 5. Likely reason being to include Thundercracker and Skywarp. Arcee possibly dies. If they keep her in the movie. The top 2 things the fans are campaigning for is Cullen/Welker, and kicking Arcee out of the script in favor of Ironhide/Hound/Prowl So far all the info we have about the movie is this: Autobot Roster: Optimus, Arcee, Ratchet, Jazz, Bumblebee Decepticon Roster: Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave(with minions), Shockwave TFs come to earth in search of the matrix. (name may be changed to avoid mainstream audience confusion with wachowski films) Currently the film is undergoing one more rewrite before Michael Bay decides whether he officially attaches himself to the film or not. The producers are currently negotiating with car manufacturers for alt-modes.

The game I helped design when I was at Midway was significantly more involved in terms of gameplay and story. Some people may have liked that, some may have not. When I realized that Midway's goals were very different than my own, I understood that I wouldn't have been much help, so I left. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So working with your friends again on the type of games you got into the industry to create with more freedom to design what you want to design wasn't part of the decision to leave?

that is a thinly veiled excuse for saying, "basically i am too lazy and stupid to design awesome battle-suits and make them for all the actors to wear." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You do realize you just said that about the director of RoboCop.

Battlestar Galactica is a pretty good alternative, being the best show on TV and all. Also cool about ExoSquad: BW Megatron, Optimus Primal, and Rhinox all did voices for the show. Rhinox was the big baddie, while Optimus was the good Neo and one of the baddie Generals, while Megs was also a baddie general. I was too lazy to look up character names.
-
Hrmm, apparently the 3rd largest city in BC doesn't exist to this program.
-
ExoSquad wasn't short lived. It had 52 episodes. Though it did get cancelled just as they were getting into the next storyline, the whole threat from outside the solar system. I liked that it was an american cartoon that treated war seriously. People died. Lots of people. Even a main character. Probably why it only aired at 6:30 am. I also liked that it was semi-realistic. The whole thing took place within our solar system. Though I didn't like that the space pirates had an army that rivaled the entire terran armada.

The Grand Theft America storyline has been pretty cool in the Ultimates. Nick Fury creating his army of superheroes in S.H.I.E.L.D. brought the wrath of an international coalition after the US used the Ultimates in a preemptive strike on the middle east. Conquered the US in hours. The Ultimates had Thor, so Loki caused the Ultimates to take down 3 of their own guys by faking security footage. Pretty cool.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Oerwinde replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd like: A new ship, no more Ebon Hawk. And make it customizable. Every time you recruit a new character, change the appearance of one of the sleeping quarters to show who is living there. I still like the idea of starting as a padawan. For the first two or three hours of the game you're not the main character. Then your master gets killed and you're thrust into the main character position. You'd still control your master, its just that he is pre-generated and the story revolves around him for the first little bit. Much more customizable appearance. Either complete facial creation a-la sims 2, or at least a large collection of facial parts. Include more full masks, some helmets, etc. as well as hooded robes that take into account masks you wear if any. Allow color customization of robes. Don't gain levels so fast. If the whole padawan/dead master idea I mentioned above is used for instance, by the time your master dies you shouldn't be more than level 2. Have a 4th base jedi class. Well, not even a jedi class, just a force user class. If you're training these fully grown adults into jedi in a couple hours, I doubt they're going to be fully fleged jedi, force users yes, but not jedi. Just remove the special abilities like force jump and such that the jedi classes get and maybe reduce the amount of force powers they get. -
Dude! Darkhawk and Sleepwalker!

it would suck to die from MS. My girlfriend has it. For those of you who don't know what it does, your immune system attacks your spinal cord. Slowly degenerating your reflexes and such, and possibly leading to paralysis.

Just finished catching up on all the Ultimate marvel I've missed out on in the last while, including the last couple issues of Ultimates vol 1. The whole part where the Skrull is telling Captain America to surrender and he's like "Surrender? SURRENDER? YOU THINK THIS LETTER ON MY HEAD STANDS FOR FRANCE!?" that was Gold.

Someone needs to make a Civ IV mod that replaces the religions with Chuck Norris, Vin Diesel, David Hasselhoff, etc.
-
Vin Diesel can get into the cow level on the ORIGINAL Diablo.
-
Chuck Norris is all well and good, but Vin Diesel can divide by zero. EDIT: Oh, dang, I guess Chuck Norris can too.

If the revolution comes out at 100 bucks, and I can get Breath of Fire 1&2, Mario RPG, FF4, FF6, Goldeneye, Super Mario Kart, etc. right out of the box, then I'm sold. I'd buy one on launch, I'd probably even be able to buy all the games I missed by not having a Gamecube like Skies of Arcadia, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, etc.

Is Feargus Buying anything in the Acclaim "sale"
Oerwinde replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Computer and Console
I think its not really a hive of activity because these are the publishing rights to games that have already been released, and released years ago. Unless they plan on remaking the games, theres not much point in buying the rights. -

I wonder how much some of those useless rights go for. Like Batman Forever. -
That would be the more logical step... but I guess there are still some people out there who feel that if they don't vote Liberal or Conservative, they're just throwing their vote away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pretty much anywhere else in Canada and that would be true, but in BC and Manitoba/Saskatchewaan the NDP, Liberals, and Conservatives pretty much have the support split 3 ways. Current support in BC is 34% Liberal, 30% Conservative, and 28% NDP, and in Manitoba/Saskatchewaan(don't you love that they lump them into a single poll?) the support is 34% Liberal, 27% Conservative, and 34% NDP. And both those polls have a silly 6% margin for error. Meaning they're all pretty much neck and neck. I'll likely vote NDP again. They did good during this short term. The conservatives ripped into them for dealing with the corrupt liberals but I mean, they had the least number of seats in the house, they couldn't do anything themselves and they weren't going to team up with the conservatives. Minority governments are where the NDP shine. Thats how they got the public health care system started. Not going to happen but the government I'm hoping for is a Liberal majority with an NDP opposition.
