I don't play online very often, so my finest moments are pretty mundane. So far my finest moment is making it to level 14 in City of Heroes. Thats where you get your travel power, so now I can fly.

Neat. Personally I think they should have done a Batman Begins style reboot of the series rather than disregarding Superman 3 and 4 and starting there. The 70s superman movies were good and all, but new school superman is cooler than old school superman, what with Lex Luthor being a billionaire CEO criminal mastermind instead of a wacky evil genius. I was surprised they didn't give him his purple jumpsuit in the 70s movies.

The best thing about Sandman was that it lead to the Lucifer series, which is my favorite comic of all time. Sandman was a tad too random for me, though it was still good enough to buy. As for liking Ultimate X-Men. Don't be embarassed. Its my favorite superhero comic. Most people say the Ultimates is the best of the Ultimate line, but I disagree. Though killing Beast was a big no no in my book. Then again maybe he's back, I'm like almost a year behind on that one I think. I need a decent job so I can afford comics AND DVDs. I make enough to afford one or the other, and unfortunately the DVDs win.

First off; I agree. Some characters(like E) he did wondrously, but the rest just look off. Only thing I didn't like in New X-men, as Morrinson's work was astounding. Secondly; thanks for hearing my plea. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Frank Quitely makes everyone looks bloated. They're all puffy with puckered lips and everyone has the same face. Jean Grey just looks like professor X with lipstick and red hair. I didn't read New X-Men solely because I didn't want to look at that art. I'm bad like that. I'll miss out on really good comics simply because I can't stand the art. Thats why I haven't read Sin City. Oh, and no prob.

Why? WHY KAFTAN WHY!? :D My favourite manga that I have read is MPD Psycho. My favourite western comic is The Sandman. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some manga influenced stuff is good, the whole amalgamation of western and eastern styles like some of Joe Madureira's stuff is good. I think the major problem with Manga style, and it was the same problem western comics had for a long time too, is that it all generally looks the same. Yes there are exceptions, but for the most part it all looks the same. Western comics had that problem too until a few years ago, then they started getting a whole shwack of different artists with their own styles. Oh, and Frank Quitely should not be allowed near a pencil again.

I'd prefer all my stuff to be black, but I can live with mismatched stuff. I got 50 bucks off my DVD player because they had an open box one that was silver. 50 bucks was worth my DVD player not matching. I just bought 2 DVDs to go with it... Ahh, the beginning of an addiction. Started with Swordfish, now I have nearly 300 DVDs.

Just wondering what comics you all read. My personal favorites are Lucifer, Preacher, and Transmetropolitan in that order, though I also like me some superhero stuff like marvel's Ultimate line and The Authority. Dreamwave's Transformers series was looking really good until Dreamwave went belly up from mismanagement. Anyway, someone said we needed a new comic thread so I figured I'd start one. I agree. Make new ones that fit with the prequels rather that changing the originals to fit the prequels. Then we could have a decent Obi-wan/Darth Vader fight in episode 4. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Remaking the originals would destroy the whole thing. If Lucas keeps up with this editing stuff evrytime new technology comes out, then he will be re-releasing Star Wars 100 times over before he dies. A few minor stuff like adding in some creatures in the background is fine, but erasing what is left of the originals would be a huge mistake. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How does remaking them erase the originals? Remaking them would save the originals from further tinkering.

Kingdom Hearts was one of those games that everyone was bashing it when they heard about it, then it came out and was a big hit because it actually worked. The graphics were a huge point in its favor too. Instead of going for cel-shading when putting cartoon characters in the game, they wen with regular textures and such, but did such a good job that you can't imagine them doing it any other way. Cel-shading would have ruined it. Also, its not really an RPG. More of a Zelda style action adventure, only with a lot more story and character.

The Paladin trilogy was the best I played so far. Too bad the guy only finished the first 2 parts.

So is anyone else having severe problems with the multiplayer? Me and my roommate have been trying to do some LAN sessions but we can never get very far due to disconnections, crashing, and hanging. The single player works fine, but the multiplayer is almost unplayable.

Yeah, I think he's confusing Bioware with every other developer in Canada. (well, Ubisoft is in Montreal, but everyone else is in Vancouver)

A lot of guys don't want to get involved with a single mom. It also limits the girl's situations where she could meet someone if she has to look after a kid all the time.

Yes and no. But its one of those shows that sucks you in so you can't stop watching no matter how bad it gets. First season starts out decent. Mostly freak-of-the-week stuff, then in the 2nd season they start moving away from that gimmick and start expanding the plot and having ongoing stories. Season 3 is where it really picks up. Season 4 gets a tad wierd, but also very interesting, and the Lana/Clark fight scenes are nice. So far Season 5 is a bit weak, but its getting better. I've found myself shouting at the screen several times though. Dammit Clark just fracking tell her.

Oh, they tried, they tried. Remember Deus Ex: Invisible War? It had the exact same coding for Xbox and PC; but while this caused a great game for X-Box standerds, it was crap for PC standerds, and also gave loads of framerate issues for many PC users due to crappy X-Box optimisation... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I mean like with an emulator. Stick the Xbox disc in your drive and play it on the PC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would suspect that the code is not robust enough to worry about variable CPU speeds, memory, video card, etc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hence the emulator. I mean SNES, NES, Genesis, PSX, etc. games weren't even programmed for a Windows-type OS, yet you can play them on your PC with an emulator. You'd think that a game programmed for a simplified windows OS would be easier to program a windows based emulator for.

There are too many cons that make this a completely unrealistic option. So either they're planning on using it for something else, or they plan on heavily modifying the technology. Perhaps somehow making it so PS3s can't read writeable media or something.

Yes I'd tell her they were killed. Did she ask how badly they were mauled when they were killed? Because I'd tell her if she wants to know, but I wouldn't if she didn't ask. Censorship is about hiding things and making them unavailable. Giving out unnecessary info when its not asked for is not censorship.
