I know we'll barely see our characters, but I when I did mine, I even wrote down some notes on what type of quest he/she/it could be involved in. Said quest would have no happy ending. Hubris.

Oh? Why do you think that (as I haven't played DA)? Because of the story/options? I don't even remember the story. I just liked summoning things and having companions to fight with plus running around. That main town felt huge at the time.And the random encounters while walking on the map were kinda fun initially. The boss fights were pretty weak tho, IIRC. Summoner basically is a party based crpg that reminds me of Dragon Age: Origins. This is neither good or bad. That's the feeling I got when playing Summoner, although I prefer the setting in Summoner more than the one in DA:O. You also get companions that you can choose your skills for, but they do have roles, ie, mage, tank, etc. Summoner 2 was more action oriented, just like Dragon Age II was more action oriented. Again, the setting in Summoner 2 was better than the one in DA2. I prefer S2 to DA2.

Summoner is basically the PS2 era Dragon Age on consoles. Edit: Fractured Souls was released on the Nintendop 3DS some time ago. I remember trying the demo.

I actually want the game. The key is to keep expectations in check. Dragon Age 2 left a sour taste in my mouth, but I want to believe that they can repair what was broken. They seem to acknowledge what went wrong with DA2 and they want to fix these issues. Another thing is that I do not expect a rtwp game anymore. If it's a competent action rpg with party combat, I will be content. My most wanted rtwp game is hopefully released later in the year.

Spring is finally here. It's actually not dark outside when I go to work or get home. The sun is shining and being out without a jacket wasn't a nightmare. No winter boots needed. Played some football during break at work. A certain someone is also pushing a certain relationship to get more serious. Told her that won't happen any time soon, if ever. I'm not a relationship man. Indeed, today, the sun is shining.

2014 is a crazy year for role playing games.

Reached level 25 in Skyrim. Also got beaten to death by a giant. I usually just snipe them with bows but thought it was a good idea to try out the melee route. Note to self: Stay away from giants. I read a lot of complaints about many locations in Fallout: New Vegas only being small shacks and the like. The same could be said about Skyrim. Found lots of shacks and standing stones. I personally don't mind. I just wish complaints could be consistent and not just pointed at one game but not the other.

Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall keys are being sent out. Got mine 5 minutes ago.

I didn't like it when they did it for The Witcher 2, but bought the game anyway. What sweetened the deal that time was free digital copy of PS: T and Septerra Core. I have finished both but not The Witcher 2- Oh, the irony.

#ahashtagjustforyou I've felt burnt out, and even considered talking with a doctor about getting a month sick leave. I have been stressed out at work, even if there are some great moments from time to time. Working conditions are worse than they have ever been.

I'm hoping they stick with the pirate motif, but if this picture is anything to go by, then it looks like we may be going back to a more medieval-ish theme I didn't mind the pirate theme. What I didn't like were the smallish islands and that meant less fun exploration.

Risen 3 was announced. Hope I like it as much as the first game.
