  1. I'm not really a fan of some fights feeling like a suckerpunch. Fights can be fun and challenging without having to get frustrating. NWN2 and its expansion packs were guilty in some encounters. The same goes for Torment. It doesn't make for fun fights, I didn't feel satisfaction when winning those battles. All I could think was: Finally, this is over.
  2. Did some betting yesterday and won $1000. With some good stocks buying/selling and actually winning some bets here and there (won much more than I have played for, I keep tabs so it doesn't get out of hand), I can't complain.
  3. Like usual, I have given up on a FPS, this time Metro Last Light. I really did enjoy what I played (managed to beat a little more than half the game), but I reached that point in the game where I'm not good enough to advance the story any further. The game had good atmosphere, decent writing and it didn't look bad at all. Failing to beat it should probably dissuade me from playing more games in the genre but... I'm now playing Bioshock Infinite and I am enjoying it. I really dig the style of the world just like the previous Bioshok games (that I also gave up on). Combat is more fun than Metro LL, because I enjoy the powers you get. This is the longest I have lasted in a Bioshock game. Let's see if I can beat this one.
  4. Great news for the game, I believe.
  5. Playing the "look at your PS4 that you can't unpack for a couple of weeks ye" game. It isn't fun, but I will play it during the Easter break. I have 4 days off exluding the holiday days and weekends. 10 days dedicated to gaming, oh yes. Not a crazy amount of games I want, but the ones that are available will tide me over for some time. (inFAMOUS, Resogun and Mercenary Kings being the ones I want most.)
  6. Having pea soup tonight. With som pork to spice things up.
  7. Are you 65 years old or what?
  8. Banana is great on pizza. You guys are cray-cray.
  9. French fries, shish-kebab and salad.
  10. Dietrich is the man. I found him rather weak for a "dragonslayer" totem shaman, but he's second to none in a support role. It's funny because the character concepts don't really reflect their combat roles—bar brawler shaman is support, "medic" is melee specialist, "sniper" is a beast CQC point/breacher. The chicks are a bit bland character wise, what with the done to death baggage from the past thing etc. Leet haxxor dude... I just want to punch him in the teeth. Don't care much for the hacker dude. The others, I like. I agree on their combat roles versus their personality/history. They don't fit that well. Nevertheless, they are very helpful. Uncle D has saved my behind several times and Glory's bleeding melee attack is really helpful. Eiger is used to cheese enemies.
  11. Spring is officially here! DST is a fact and the weather is fine. Time to put the winter clothes away and bask in the sun. Time to show off those hairy arms of mine.
  12. More Dragonfall. I've learned a bit more about the companions. Some surprising but interesting pasts. I think that is why I prefer this over DMS with its not so interesting characters. Also about to finish Bravely Default's true ending. Think I only have the extra dungeon left.
  13. SR: Dragonfall Finally feel that I'm making some progress. Seing some spelling errors and a few grammatical ones. I would not have thought about it if I didn't like what I was reading. I have only used story NPCs and treated them fairly well. I liked one mission that had several optional objectives. It didn't hurt I managed to complete them all. Overall, this is a better campaign than Dead Man's Seitch. Been pumping karma points in to combat related skills. Also have two shotguns so my ammo lasts longer.
  14. No day/night cycle for Divinity: Original Sin. A shame stretch goals can't be implemented. I had backed before those goals were announced so I'm not very upset about it. I do understand if there is some backlash, though.
  15. In the frame shown, you look like you're about to piss yourself. I didn't want to say it, but it's true.
  16. Next stop, Scumsoft. Long term plan is to start his own thing. Won't make it without experience. He isn't thrilled about E&Y, but the pay is good and it helps to have on a future CV.
  17. Beans in tomato sauce with toasts. These were leftovers from yesterday but it was just as good.
  18. Hopefully for non-backers, this won't be the case on gog.com. They backed away from their regional pricing plans after there was a backlash from customers. On STEAM, there will be a difference in price between regions just like I have seen for any other KS game.
  19. Monk: Pug Godlike Paladin: Thomas Rogue: Kitsum Wizard: Fess Ranger: Sador "Labadal" Cipher: Keyser Söze
  20. drop fenris and we is in sync. fenris were... cartoony. a super-powered slave who were tortured by former master so that now he is all morose and grumbly-- just needs a hug from a good woman to... *shudder.* am also thinking we liked merrill for what she coulda' been more than what she was. HA! Good Fun! I can understand your reservation against Fenris. Never followed a romance with him. And I can't disagree that Merrill couldn't have been better handled/developed into an even more interesting character. I'll admit I liked the delivery both Voice Actors brought to the role which may help me gloss over deficiencies in the character. Gideon Emery is a great voice actor, although I couldn't stop thinking of Balthier from Final Fantasy XII every time he had something to say.
  21. Helping my cousin with his CV and personal letter he is sending in to Ernst & Young. No pressure, none at all.
  22. Can anyone blame them for accepting the deal? I sure as hell don't. Kickstarter is for getting things started. It can't sustain a company forever.
  23. True Detective is one of my favorite TV show in the past few years.
  24. I'm 29. Quitting last day in June to go back to university full time. Advice? I'm not sure. All I know is that it will be worth it in the long run. Plus, you're only 22, kid.
