What are you playing now
Skyrim. Put a kettle on someone's head and then I killed them. Easy way to get Dark Brotherhood assassinations over with.

What you did today
I just had a worthwhile meeting. I was meeting with different types of grilled meat and the input was great. Lovely weather outside. Not exactly summer weather but not far from it.

What you did today
Have i ever said how boring I think meetings are? They are very boring. sat in one for two hours, and the result? I should be in more meetings. it's the easiest thing ever and requires more or less nothing from me.

You have my sympathy. It's not exactly high class football, is it? Not the best game. And Sevilla seems to win it on penalties.

That's a shame. It's only pre-season, but both teams play entertaining football.

Eating snacks and watching the UEFA cup final.

Update #78: The Leaders of the Band: Chanters and Priests
Didn't even think to comment on how happy I am about spells/abilities being shown. I wonder, how will improved stats from buss be shown. Let's say I have 18 agility. Will a +3 buff show as 21 or as 21 (+3)? How will buffs stacking work? Will there be a limit on how much a stat can be buffed like in the IE games?

What you did today
Really stressed at work. The kid I'm working with isn't well at all. It all escalated yesterday. Poor boy tried to cut off his own finger with a pair of scissors. Took it from him before he managed to do something stupid, but he was totally out of control. Couldn't even reach out to him when he got his attack. After calming down, he was in a world of his own, mumbling to himself. In a way, I will feel very relieved to try something else. I haven't been feeling well at all the last few weeks. Headache, blurry sight and pain in the chest. There is probably no way I will reconsider coming back. Boss tried to convince me not to quit, which is funny since I'm not worth keeping as regular labor and only keep for contract work. Told her that I have enjoyed working at this workplace and I have made new contacts and friends, but I needed to look forward. Most of the people I work with have already come to me and said I could leave them as reference for whatever job I choose to apply to.

Though great looking is the only positive thing one can say about that garbage. Good soundtrack. Other than that, you are right.

Paul Kirsch will write the Collectors Book for Eternity
That is what I would like to see. A forum section that is focused only on news, run by the members of this forum.

I actually really like the fact that we have stuff like this. (Paul and Carry expressing happiness over their new jobs publicly.) I, and I think everyone in this thread also don't mind news sites posting about Pillars of Eternity. I am very certain all of us are happy with that. I am also very certain that most (all?) people on these boards don't mind if other sites get the news first, because that's kind of the point. I think what people mean is: GameBanshee gets an interview with Chris Avellone. They post it on their site. Awesome. They got that and we are all happy Obsidian Entertainment are getting coverage. Here begins the issue some people have: Why don't we see a link to this interview? It doesn't matter if the community was fast in discovering this and starting a thread about it. That is to be expected. But why is there no mention about this in the news section on the backer portal or posted on the front page? I remember that other of their games got news articles posted on the front page. This is what I mean by Obsidian helping themselves. Not being first with the news, just post it at some point, even if they are a week late.

What you did today
I didn't know there were so many pensioners on this forum. And I thought I was old. Edit: What have I been doing? Reading my little brother's 50 page thesis he has to turn in tomorrow. After that, 5 years of study are completed for him. I also did this for my cousin and a couple of others. I don't know why they ask me. Maybe I'm a sucker.

I don't care about community engagement. I care about Obsidian helping themselves. When people browse the Pillars of Eternity backer portal, it should be updated with the latest news, screens, audio, etc. I don't think that is community engagement. For istance, there are no songs on there, and we have already heard a couple of tracks.

I agree with Monte Carlo that more updates to the backer portal are needed, but not for the same reason. I think that if someone new to the game is referred to the backer portal or finds it by themselves, the portal should be up to date with the latest info. I'm a member on these boards, I will eventually find out most news thanks to fellow forum members. When news articles form the likes of PC Gamer or any other site, someone at Obsidian should post it on these forums or even better, on the front page of the site. If i was a Add new screens to the backer portal. For instance, where are the new, great looking screens from update 77? Nowhere to be found on their portal. It shouldn't be too difficult to have a forum dedicated to news if they feel they can't do things mentioned above. Have a forum specifically for news on Obsidian entertainment stuff that gets reported from other sites..

If think Monte Carlo means a community manager in general, not just for Pillars of Eternity. I don't care either way.

I was going to say that. Unfortunately, every time we'd ask him about any sort of info, we would get the answer: No. If we're lucky, and he feels generous, we might get a "Nope". Might.

I don't disagree. Obsidian, I'm available. Make me the community manager. Give me all your secrets for me to share with the world. Ialso accept a job position as janitor.
