No queue system please. We just need the auto attack function and companion AI and things will be better.

Ran through almost all the content of the Pillars of Eternity beta now that my characters were not losing any items. I must say that I am really enjoying it. The chanter was awesome (hired adventurer). I didn't get how to use them at first, but I think I figured it out. At least my part members' weapons were set on fire. I can't say I had any real troubles. I saved before I knew there were upcoming dialog options. You could solve most quests peacefully. I no longer feel that combat is hectic. It is very manageable, even if I would welcome auto attacks and AI functions. The way it is now, I was controlling every move of my characters. (I have to admit that I don't micromanaging.) I beat the Ogre, failed to grab the Egg (I fell and it broke), and I cleared every monster that I could see. I have no doubt that when more stuff gets fixed, I will rate this very highly. The reason I quit was that the game crashed on my last exploring trip. I'm probably going to stop playing it for a while. 6 hours is enough for now. I will give it a go for every update they push out.

Suggestion: toggle stealth circles on/off
Labadal replied to siril_dana's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Anything is better than this: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/566645789821073242/8C571B8603B320C0AF299B86E3DBB5ADDFC7A7F3/ Maybe have the area around the enemies just be a bit brighter. Like some glow or something. Just get rid of those lines. -
The only reason I would want something like that is because I think they're fun.

110$ for beta access
Labadal replied to Meriemi's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
If the beta isn't "early access," what is? I mean, ignoring the English language as you are. When someone says Early Access, I think of the STEAM model that is going on right now. Early Access means that people can freely buy the game. I would say this beta is a bit different. After the 22nd, beta access will be closed. -

As I have said one hundred times, already: A dwarf monk.

There is no Early Access yet. I bet we will see that when the Beta is more polished. -
The Future - Or whatyouwannasee?
Labadal replied to C2B's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Strategy rpg in the vein of Final Fantasy tactics or Tactics Ogre. -
Completed the story of Muramasa Rebirth with one character, now to complete the other path. I have been playing them evenly, so that means that I am at the final chapter on this one as well.

The first time you play it, it will most certainly feel frenetic, even when you pause. But now, when combat decides to work, I'd rate it over the Infinity Engine combat. Disclaimer: I was never a huge fan of BG or PST combat.

Payed my taxes, $2800. This is the least I have payed in the last 4 years.

It's buggy. Very buggy, some amusing, others not so much. The good thing is that the most glaring bugs are already known to the team and worked on. When everything works, it is great and I do not regret my pledge. I have spent 3 hours with the beta, and I am having a lot of fun when everything works. The rtwp combat is really fun. I feel that everything is easy to understand, with good descriptions on abilities, spells and stats. Background look great, even if I was hoping for less static ones. The combat felt a bit hectic at first, as it felt that it was going way faster than it should. After a few encounters, I do feel at home though. I'm only playing on normal and that is how I intend to play the btea until the end. I have been wiped once by some specters, but I don't think i was supposed to go in there yet. So far, it has felt to me that all characters have been useful in combat. The rogue is the one that loses stamina the fastest if you are not careful. I have been playing a monk and created a custom chanter at the inn. The monk and the fighter go in for melee combat, the rogue comes in afterwards. I found ranged weapons for my chanter and priest, so the buff, debuff and attack from afar. The mage unleashes spells like a madman. There is no room for complacency, one wrong move and you can expect a party wipe. Comat is still an area that needs improvement, like better pathing and auto-attack. Both known issues. Writing is good, but it's mostly just side content, so one can't really comment on story. The companions don't speak, as they are just randoms. Spell effects look nice, and music is decent.

Ok, time to move along, then.

Every creature I have killed has had something to loot, so there's that. Animals have hides, etc.

what's so bad about having female characters as protagonists? if it was up to me, all games would have female heroines I welcome more female protagonists in games, heck, I am trying a female wizard in Pillars of Eternity. But I only want them in there if that's what the developer intended. I don't want a female protagonist just because someone demands it. I remember the complaints about Alpha Protocol. I have also read complaints about The Witcher, even if those games are based on an established character from the books. Remember Me had a good female protagonist. Kreia is one of my favorite characters in video games. Do them right and because you want them in your games and I will be happy. Ubisoft probably already had intentions for a female character in Unity, hell, there was a game with a female assassin already.

I have tried to reproduce this bug and it happens to my wizard every time. Issue: Wizard loses weapons Where: Upon Entering Temple of Berath Expected behavior: Weapons not disappearing I will play more and see if he loses his stuff when transitioning to other areas, but for the area mentioned, it happens every time. Could some of you guys try it out and see if it happens to you? It is the closest building from your starting location.

Backer Beta Information [Not Live Yet]
Labadal replied to Tigranes's topic in Backer Beta Announcements
It has been known for a while. A lot of backers wanted it as spoiler free as possible. -
Probably because of all the SJW going around.
-
Made my own wizard and it was as I suspected. I couldn't cast spells because on my first run, the grimoire had disappeared.
-
Hey there Marceror, thanks for the feeback! We are well aware of this issue and are currently working on a solution. Do you happen to remember if you had loaded a save anytime before this issue occurred? Wizards are one of the strongest classes in the game right now. Have you tried opening the spell bar by clicking the character portrait of the wizard and selecting a spell from one of the level categories? All other classes had spells available. Both the BB Priest and the custom Cipher I created at the inn. I will double check. But I thought spells did not work without a grimoire.

Feels weird saying it, but I am playing Pillars of Eternity.
