  1. https://meduza.io/en/feature/2022/11/30/make-peace-not-war The appetite for this war is really waning amongst most Russian citizens
  2. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/eu-agrees-60-barrel-price-cap-russian-seaborne-oil-eu-diplomat-2022-12-01/ EU is closer to a Ruskie oil price cap
  3. I dont agree with some of Giles points for several reasons An invasion of Russia would change the nature of the mobilization and justify Putin saying something like " now the Motherland is being invaded this war has become existential to our existence. We must throw everything at it ". It makes the moral high ground of being invaded blurry and support won't necessarily be the same and you will see a more united Russia around resources The main information war is not about nukes being used by Russia, that's just a risk no one wants to take. Russia lost the information campaign long time ago because they cannot reasonably justify their invasion of Ukraine and the Russian army is constantly committing war crimes and its seen as the degenerate and barbaric military it is. It doesnt matter if vatniks or countries like Syria and Belarus dont acknowledge this. The evidence is irrefutable. Thats an example of the real information campaign Personally I dont care about Putin trying to change Russia for the better, he is irredeemable and needs to be defeated one way or another
  4. https://www.rte.ie/news/business/2022/1130/1339160-euro-zone-inflation-falls-for-first-time-in-17-months/ More good economic news but this time for our EU friends
  5. https://www.forbes.com/sites/nicholasreimann/2022/11/28/most-common-us-gas-price-now-299-as-prices-keep-plunging/?sh=60315b434c46 US gas prices are now at pre-war levels, great news for the global economic recovery
  6. " bad and naughty Russians " That cracked me up
  7. Wednesday has got mostly positive reviews, I was unsure if I should watch it because its classified as teenage viewing But I know many adults who have watched and enjoyed it
  8. Yes, well spotted And another sad reality of England is they chokers. But lets see if this WC is different
  9. Another Medvedev rant about evil Western, NATO countries and more bombast about the "civilized "world So he considers Russia " civilised " and the West outside of that Russian propaganda makes me laugh
  10. Well done US on the Iranian victory Im supporting England to win the WC, they looking really good and the last time they won was 1996 The English created this fantastic game and Im hoping that as the various teams get knocked out everyone gets behind England to win
  11. Okay thats a conundrum, normally it would be Denmark as your country of birth but you have immigrated to Oz and you seeking citizenship so its time to support your new country. So its Oz 🇦🇺
  12. I wasn't surprised other
  13. Yes the point has been made. Remember the WC also benefits non-first world countries revenue streams around local DSTV rights and people going to watch games in sports bars and other similar venues. Its very popular in Cpt and they have most bars dedicating the evening to watching and supporting the WC We dont want to now start making people feel guilty as if watching the games is a moral or ethical sin because for most people its just about supporting your country and the love of the game But we never ignore our views around SJ or equality, so we always support LGBT rights for example. But we should still watch the WC now for the last games. Because its now about something that is important outside of the original human rights abuses in Qatar. And people have protested and the message was clear
  14. Guys its the US vs Iran tonight and I should we all watch it to support our American forum friends like @Gfted1, @ShadySands@Hurlshort@rjshae @Keyrock @kanisatha @Amentepto name a few I think the points been made strongly about the human rights issues in Qatar, there have been loads of protests and necessary attention on this WC. So who is with me ...go US for tonight 🇺🇸 ⚽
  15. Thats very naughty, I approve 🥂
  16. I enjoyed Operencia, I loved the lore and the puzzles werent too difficult like BT4 Now that I am finished with Exanima I am taking my normal break from fantasy RPG and I want to participate in some zombie killing. So Im going to be playing Days Gone. This trailer and the background music convinced me 🧟‍♂️
  17. Thats not the issue from my side and you exaggerating now. I dont want people just agreeing with anti-Russian posts and sentiment. Thats an echo-chamber, I appreciate and like robust debate and that includes disagreement. But lets focus on the issues which is the invasion of Ukraine by Russia We have also more or less moved beyond debating the actual reason for the invasion so topics like the constant war crimes, Russian military retreats\successes and overall Russian actions on the global arena is what most people comment on And if you disagree with something lets hear it but you must also accept we not all going to agree with what you say. Thats the nature of debate and then some general empathy and sensitivity is recommended considering the carnage that Putin has inflicted on Ukraine. So for example suggesting that the Russians are only targeting hospitals and schools because Ukrainians soldiers are using these places to fight from or suggesting the massacres at Bucha is fake news is never going to go down well because it comes across as incredibly insensitive and callous But most important, lets stay on point. Lets focus on this conflict. You guys have had 20 years or more to discuss conflicts like Kosovo and Iraq and I dont see how they relevant to Putins War?
  18. Barti the most important thing is that you guys care enough to read my posts and comment, even dunking is better than no attention I just dont want to end up a recipient of being on your script, thats cold and its not a place I want be. Always be honest in life, emotional honest is best
  19. No idea what you talking about, instead of trying to sound clever why dont you just say what you mean?
  20. Her arrest is obviously not related to the invasion of Ukraine but its directly related to her being an American citizen and sports celebrity and Putins rage towards the West and particularly the US for the support of Ukraine. She would never have got that sentence if she was not a US citizen. This has been extensively discussed on CNN
  21. Whats international law got to do with aid for Ukraine from Western countries? Thats the first time I have heard that one
  22. Yes, if its related to Russia, Putin's war and the reason for the invasion then its relevant. Griner was arrested in Russia and the sentence was severe due to her being American. As I explained its political and about the support that the US is giving Ukraine. Which is why I didnt post it in the political thread which I normally would have
  23. Thats why you guys should create your own thread, you can discuss lots of issues outside of Ukraine that clearly are important to you? Its a win win for everyone
