Hi Vals, welcome back. Not sure what you so surprised by the statement " Russia is losing" ....are they winning? And who do you support, Russia or Ukraine and why do you support one side over the other. Just so you aware, very few people support Putins War on this thread, the invasion of Ukraine was unprovoked and we believe Ukraine is a sovereign country that has every right to decide its own future I know you love your anti-Western sentiment and conspiracy theories but I am summarizing the general sentiment most of us believe

Agreed, sadly you dont see many examples of autocratic or governments like Iran being overthrown or ending through citizen protests. The leadership and there militant supporters have too much to lose Especially when the hardliners in Iran will happily deploy there security forces to arrest and kill protestors

But Musk is not trolling, he is sharing his opinion on a solution to end the war Its not great or convincing but its sincere and has some thought to it. Either way he is not trolling. You can disagree with him but lets criticize the suggestions rather than making it about a personal attack on him which seems to miss the point of a debate?

Yes I realize it seems unrealistic now, I thinking this is achievable once Putin is gone one way or another? And I do agree with the benefits of continued Ukrainian military success, I am just thinking of finding a way to end the war and it will take compromise from both sides to achieve lasting peace Thats why Zelensky said " we believe in finding a peaceful solution but not with Putin"

I completed BG2 SoA and my battles with Irenicus were very memorable, the first battle with him at the Tree of Life was very tough and I died at least 5-6 times before I adopted a winning combat strategy that included Spells like Breach and Piece Magic to weaken his magic defenses Spells like Chaotic Commands and Death Ward to protect my party I used summoning spells like Mordenkainen's Sword to distract him I ran away when he used AOE spells like Ice Storm My fighters used potions like Fire Giant strength to enhance their combat effectiveness And then in Hell I initially ran away so I could focus on his summoned monsters and then I changed into the Slayer to kill him, I very seldom use the Slayer and this was only the second time in the whole SoA I used that special ability I am now playing ToB, my favorite RPG of all time, and Im in the Marching Mountains. I had some real issues initially with the first Bhaalspawn battle with Illasera, I was killed at least 5 times. I then reran the Ascension mod and removed all '' make Bhaalspawn fights harder " that include Illasera and Gromnir and the fight became reasonable and fun I think there was a bug with my Ascension mod because the Illasera battle seemed almost impossible?

Thanks, thats a good definition and is similar to mine So which politicians in the US and the EU support Nazi ideology based on our definition. I know some do but I am interested in what politicians you believe support these views? And the reason I ask is because sometimes I think we conflage a certain political view with something more Nazi right-wing when in fact the politician only supports one thing but doesnt support the other Nazi views But you definitely get your real " right wing " politicians like Orban in Hungary, Im not saying he is a Nazi but he definitely has concerning right-wing views

@xzar_monty https://www.benzinga.com/news/22/10/29129597/elon-musk-tells-zelenskyy-i-still-very-much-support-ukraine-but Do you guys know Musk clarified his comments, I read his 4 suggestions which are "The four points included redoing elections of annexed regions under UN supervision, and Crimea’s status as a part of Russia, and assuring water supply to the peninsula. Musk also mentioned that Ukraine remains neutral as one of his points" Personally I take the emotion out of my views on what Musk suggested and ask myself " is it practical and reasonable as a way to end the war ". Obviously the Ukrainians will ultimately decide this but some of what he mentions makes sense around compromise that include Doing proper referendums managed by the UN in Crimea and the eastern regions. Lets see what the people in these regions really want Ukraine agrees not to join NATO but it can join the EU if it meets the criteria Russia needs to Accept the outcomes of the new referendums Acknowledge Ukraine is a sovereign country and it has every right to align with the West Russia agrees to a peace treaty and obviously its army needs to leave Ukraine

I think one of the reasons we disagree on certain topics is we dont have the same definitions of certain words that get used to describe political events and or societal realities And Im talking about simple things that I used to assume we all agreed on like the definition of racism, for example being concerned about illegal immigration doesnt make you racist But going back to your post, whats your definition of being Nazi?
-
Thanks for clarifying, I have an interest in this particular topic and EU country so I am going to spend some time researching what you have mentioned and I will hopefully get back to you (I say hopefully because sometimes I get distracted ) Yes this is really the point I was making and my concern. This forum is not that bad but what I have noticed the last 5-7 years in many political and ideological debates is that some people on the left\liberals\Democrats have a bad habit of labelling anyone on the right/Conservatives in an extreme and exaggerated way and accusing them of being racist\fascist\Nazi as a way to get people emotional and hopefully politically motivated And its important to note its not everyone and sometimes people are well meaning but they are manipulated into believing something is more real " right-wing " than it really is. For example expecting people to immigrate legally to your country is not right-wing. Its just prudent and it shows you understand the risk of unmanaged immigration and its impact on the limited resources and social conditions in every country And then you have worst possible outcome of this abuse and misuse of words like Neo-Nazi where Putin justified this hyperbole as one of the reasons for the invasion of Ukraine and some people believed it and still do and repeat this. Despite the fact that Zelensky is Jewish and Neo-Nazi dont vote or support Jews and he won the 2019 election by 72%. So its highly unlikely Ukraine would be mostly a Neo-Nazi country yet people, like @ComradeYellow, still believe this and use this to justify the war So unfortunately the Nazi card does get played but sometimes its valid so we must separate the allegations

https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/lula-leads-bolsonaro-by-14-points-ahead-brazil-vote-datafolha-poll-2022-09-29/ Lula looks like he is way ahead in the polls, I hope he wins because that will be what the the majority of the Brazilian people want and I think he will do a better job than Bolsonaro especially with all the corruption we seeing in Brazil at the moment I realize there was corruption with Lula when he was president but I have been concerned with the direction that Bolsonaro has been taking Brazil. And then we need to accept the final results of the election either way, lets not see a repeat of what happened in the US with some Trump supporters claiming the election was stolen. The will of the people needs to be respected in all free and fair elections I just hope we dont see the corruption we witnessed under Lula ( the first time around ) and Rousseff which is always the same. Socialists like them claim they " want to end inequality " but they more concerned with enriching themselves and staying in power
