  1. This is new ? This is exactly the type of debate I feel like now. I'll be heading to BSN now, thx NKKKK
  2. and here's Deus Ex design doc by comparison: It never ceases to amaze me the information you guys are able to find on the Internet about the gaming industry
  3. I find that hard to believe, in fact I would say thats highly unlikely. Bioware isn't going anywhere. They still have several million committed fans, like me , who believe in there products and enjoy the gaming experience they provide. These fans provide Bioware with a healthy revenue stream, so why would EA try to effect this in anyway?
  4. Nobody takes that "version" of cricket serious anyway... it's only for the attention span challenged Whats the fun in a game that is over in a single day? One days are still about some skill and can be very entertaining, its the twenty 20 cricket that I don't have much time for Meh, it's the "5 a side soccer" version of Cricket Real men drink beer throughout all of 'best of 5' of the 5 day matches. I do love 5 days, but lets be honest who has time to watch for all 5 days?

  6. Actually I would dispute that as you have several cases of prominent businessmen, celebrities and politicians saying things on Twitter and other mediums of Internet communication that have really embarrassed them and caused them to lose there jobs. If these people hadn't lost there jobs who knows the impact they would have had on the world either positive or negative
  7. The thought of a giant mechanic doll ,intended to be cute, terrifying the grandkids makes me laugh
  8. I hear you, are you thinking what I'm thinking " chainmail witches outfit" for Morrigan ? '
  9. It doesn't seem like you are a fan of the DA series anubite? Or am I misunderstanding you
  10. Nice, I'll join you with a small donation
  11. Where did I say I am ? As for 'spirited' I'm assuming you mean the endless back and forth will pick up the pace ? Maybe that clown Merin will show up again. I know Malc, I realize that you aren't a big supporter of Romance\Sex in RPG. I'm just teasing Funny thing is I'm sure that thread was where you and I first started chatting when I joined the Obsidian forums. So the Romance thread has a certain nostalgic appeal to me. Like that first restaurant that you take your g-friend to. You never forget it.
  12. I grew up with my cheeks being pulled as did all my brothers? Its cute especially if your cheeks are a little chubby like my families were when we were young. I would think cheek pulling is normal?
  13. You make it sound like we're making out in this thread... "You make it sound like we're making out in this thread" funny
  14. There's been some good points raised in the various romance threads; I enjoyed discussing the pros and cons of relationships and what made sense and what didn't with a number of the more pro- and more anti- romance crowds. But some of it was really "ooo, look at those icky Bioware fans - they make me feel dirty" to "how dare you take away my sex fantasies!"; its not debate - its taking things personally without looking at the actual point of discussion IMO. Also I am happy to agree to disagree when it comes to Romance\Sex. But I will generally object to any blanket generalization about BSN and its members. Its not just that I visit those forums but I will never say that tens of thousands of fans of Bioware are all these " lecherous and juvenile reprobates". And that's the view you sometimes hear Malc its good to know that you are support of Romance\Sex in RPG and PE. This debate will become very spirited the closer we get to the ETA of PE.
  15. Console plebians vs PC Master Race? Fallout 1 vs Fallout 2 vs Fallout 3? Eastern European Communism vs The World? Romance Fans vs Non-Romance Fans? Turn Based vs Real Time? EA or Microsoft vs Gamers? But aren't almost debates going to have 2 opposing topics? How do you have a debate with someone without some kind of dichotomy? Because in most of these, the dichotomy is false. There's no reason to, for example, to actually be for/against consoles or PC. They both have their strength or weaknesses. Most "VS battles" are less about the topic and more about someone trying to validate their "fandom" in some way (either by backing the thing they like or being against the thing that they feel tarnishes what they like). And that's why they differ from debates. IMO. You make some good points. I suppose I initially disagreed with you as you mentioned some topics that are worthy of debates and debates I've participated in, like the Romance\Sex debate. But I see what you mean in the difference between debate and VS

  17. Good luck, sorry I haven't been following your job hunt. Where are you working now?
  18. "Being an adult" is relative and subjective. The older I get the more I realize that there is no real defined path to adulthood or maturity, it differs from person to person. In Africa we have 16 year old's who are the parents to there younger siblings due to the fact the parents are either dead or away. I believe life is a constant journey of self-discovery if you allow it to be. And always remember " you don't stop having fun when you get old, you get old when you stop having fun"
  19. South Africa is playing England in the ICC Champions Trophy (international one day cricket tournament) and we are getting our asses kicked. Its the semi-finals and we are 76-7. That's the one thing that really annoys me about Cricket is the inconsistency around performance.
  20. Yeah, especially since I, a self-professed fan of Bioware and its games, depend on all these people with "no interest in Bioware", who are "never ever going to buy one of their games again" on receiving all my Bioware news in a timely fashion. Very insightful comments my friend, very insightful. And we both know all these "Bioware bashers" will be playing DA3 when it gets released
  21. Were we ever at reasoned politics? Tribalism has always ruled the human mind, centuries of technological progress and cultural development did not change that. Yes politics is reasonable, don't mistake systemic problems with a failure of the whole system
  22. Dude whatever you are smoking I want some, it sounds great
  23. Logically, it cannot be. You, or any individual voter, have effectively no responsibility because you have effectively no influence. 1 vote in 60 million for you, 1 in 300 million for an american, 1 in 4 million for me. But people buy into the notion that they have influence over elections because collectively we do and politicians play to that, people like to feel important and involved, and for the health of the system itself it is important for people to feel engaged rather than apathetic. It's human nature again, really. You've a Westminster avatar, Zor. So I'm assuming you know a bit about Parliament. You recall that in the UK we vote for specific members of Parliament? Over here, what matters is the swing in a particular seat. That swing is rarely more than a few thousand. Sometimes its only treble figures. The small scale and directness of our system is what I love about it most, even if it does enable Galloways to arse about. Galloway, another person that annoys me. But he is very humorous Did you ever watch when he had to go in front of that USA congressional hearing. He gave it to them as only he can. He didn't seem intimidated at all
  24. Yes Fringe is excellent, I have watched all seasons. I assumed this was a common and popular TV series that everyone had watched? I loved it from start to finish but apparently it's popularity was waning towards the end which is why the last series and the whole invasion plotline was rushed. I heard some theory that people started watching it on Hulu more than on television because it clashed with other popular shows (which has apparently killed a couple of really good shows now ike Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles) because of loss of advertisement revenue or something. Yeah the last season was great " The Observers " I liked the way they used previous fringe science experiments to fight them
