  1. We will blame Serbia if the world enters another Cold War, which is not unreasonable as they have already been the catalyst for one World War?
  2. No I don't see this as that bad, you need to also consider another result with the West openly aiding the rebels that this becomes a classic proxy war and Iran has to pour even more money and resources into assisting Assad. This weakens Iran which is not necessarily a bad thing if you think of other tensions in the area? 1. You are assuming both Russia and China will be fine with Western troops in Syria. 2. Seeing dead Western soldiers, for the sake of the region(Israel) is not something I want to see. 3. There is a good chance that if the rebels win the war, that in 10-20 years later we will be invading Syria due to a massive terrorist presence. A presence trained by the west. What we are seeing here is not a war for democracy, but a war of Sunni vs Shiite. It's not a matter of if, but when. Hopefully I'm long dead when it comes. As for it coming from this conflict, doubtful. But why chance it. The West won't be sending ground troops, this is more about direct military aid around arms and equipment and maybe military advisor's. So you won't ever see dead western soldiers in Damascus
  3. Don't be silly there is absolutely NO chance of a Third World War. I can't believe you actually think this is even a remote outcome?

It makes sense but doesn't help speed up an end to the war and the horrific suffering of the civilians.
  5. Yeah those games can be terrifying. I turn all the lights off and use my headset to create the perfect spooky atmosphere
  6. That's a good read and I read it all
  7. The general simplification when it came to weapons/moves/combat score and boss fights. The latter got so bad with the pull chains that any form of regular movement was undesirable. Just so I understand what you mean are you saying that using the chain pull strategy made the boss fights too easy? It's not so much that they were easy as shallow.Spamming the same combination of chain pulls allowed you to doge attacks and close distance that would ordinarily require some complex dodging or maneuvering. Okay I see what you mean, personally for me in these types of games I don't want the end boss fights to be too hard as I don't want to spend hours on one fight. So once I worked out the strategy to beat the various bosses in DMC the repetition suited me. But I can understand your grievance
  8. Guys for those interested this game has been delayed again for few months. Oh well I would rather have a finished product than a rushed and buggy game. Watch this video again on the IGN link that will show you some of the tantalizing horror that awaits us when this game is released http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/05/amnesia-a-machine-for-pigs-delayed-again

  10. I have just finished the latest version of DMC (Devil May Cry) and I loved it. I'm not sure why more people don't rate it more highly. The aspects of the game I really enjoyed include The interpretation of the world beset by demonic forces who seek to control humanity. If such things were real that's exactly how they would operate. Controlling the media and financial institutions makes sense There were a huge number of combat moves and ways to make Dante really effective in combat When you died you weren't sent back too far in the game, so there wasn't this sense of frustration around death The narrative was interesting. I liked the way Vergil recruited Dante and the reasons around who they were and why they opposed Mundus If you played this game what didn't you enjoy about it?
  11. Nice one with the weight loss, I've lost 4.5 KG since the beginning of the year. But I have started going back to gym and I'm doing 60 minutes of cardio a day. That sounds like a delicious spread you did for your friends You seem to be quite the accomplished amateur chef How dare you sir, I am no amateur! Are you a qualified chef? I was making a joke. Okay but you could have been a qualified chef, which is why I asked

  14. Bethesda was downright lazy in Skyrim. The dungeons? Handcrafted my ass. It's the same design over and over. I haven't played Skyrim yet, I've been waiting for the Legendary edition but I will assume that nothing beats the laziness of the dungeon creation of DA2? Even I noticed that and I'm generally not critical at all
  15. GB why don't you come live in South Africa? You can bring Tommy and we don't have the money to afford programs like Prism so you won't have your privacy compromised? I have to say I think GD would ****ing love South Africa. He's got trade skills. He could buy a big bit of land. Great food, great wine, decent beer. Plus if you get angry you can walk out, climb a tree, and punch a giraffe. Well said my friend As usual you skilfully demonstrate your impressive ability to combine humor with facts in your posts, nice one
  16. You're not the only one "Least likely to be absolute arse" Holy Smoke, that is awesome Who did that?
  17. That's a bunch of really glowing reviews of the hands-off demo. Hopefully that level of quality reflects on the final product, and throughout, not just in one area or act. They're making a MASSIVE world that, from all accounts, dwarfs Skyrim, so it will be a tall task to populate the whole area with interesting things to do and encounter. Hopefully CD Projekt RED can pull it off. I have faith in them. Keyrock you said exactly what I wanted to say I can't believe the number of really good reviews this game is getting, for me this is inspirational. I'm now even more excited
  18. And you weren't raped or murdered? Hm, my sources on RSA are inaccurate! Yeah, I barely managed to survive this trip

  20. This has to be one of the most relevant and insightful comments I have heard around this topic. Well played young grasshopper, well played
  21. Nice idea Op But for me I don't have more spare time to spend on another forum and I'm happy with the level of discussion on this forum and others I visit But keep us updated on your progress
  22. Certainly not if she doesn't make sense within the setting and its values, or if she's weaker as a character than the others, being thrown in there for the sake of it. Well I think that is obvious isn't it? Surly for a character to be memorable and to be part of your party you would have think they are appropriate to your gaming experience Ladies like Fall-From-Grace, Viconia and Isabela were all valuable additions to the party and also worth Romancing or trying to Romance
  23. I love my barbeque, I often watch the Food Network channel and you see these various food documentaries where people travel around the USA and visit various places that specialize in barbeque. I have seen places in Texas, Kansas, Tennessee and the Carolinas that do these amazing barbeque Ribs, Brisket and Streak. They always leave me salivating and hungry Oh and smoking meat looks very common in the USA. We don't smoke meat much, we typically do them straight over an open grill
  24. I went for lunch today in Pretoria which is another city about 60 km from where I live in Johannesburg. I had some of the BEST spare ribs I've had in ages. Meat falling off the bone and a delicious barbeque sauce. Its doesn't get much better than that
