RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I would be very excited with a Dark Sun setting and gameplay but it needs to be "modernised" at least to the PE level.

What are you playing now?
I have to agree, while the original was alright, I was very disappointed with the sequel. I have high expectations for Legends of Dawn, when I know I shouldn't, especially with the constant delays. I enjoyed TW2. I thought they improved on almost aspect of the first one. Plus I enjoyed the way you could really create your own spells and potions. But the one thing that did annoy me a little was the first continent was clearly an African theme and you had these normally docile animals that would never attack a human suddenly attacking you on sight. Like ostriches and baboons

Dragon Age: Inquisition
You make some good points Kaine but I see you have left out Romance\Sex from what constitutes a good RPG. Don't you think its incongruous that when you mention realistic components of what you want in PCs like motives and goals but you leave out Romance\Sex it shows us something is lacking ? Its like you want your character to have depth but you don't want him to have an emotional connection to anyone in the party. This type of post adds to the call for Romance\Sex in RPG as a mechanism for immersion and realism IMO

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I really think how MoMX does will probably be the real test case; the Kickstarters - while successful - by their funding nature might make it an attractive but unsure area to dabble in. If MoMX does boffo, I think that added with the Kickstarter success, then yeah I could see more publishers looking at smaller budget but strong-selling niche games. Interesting point but for me the litmus test wouldn't be the success of a first person RPG like MoMX but rather PE and the new Torment. I think that third person RPG are what publishers are talking about and would have better chance of being financially viable But this is good news either way if it works out

Defense of Marriage Act ruled Unconstitutional
Good point, I don't know to be honest. Maybe a combination? That's a valid point, what about the rights of those churches that are prepared to marry gay couples but legally can't. Very good point actually

Some wild screenshots appeared!
I concur

Defense of Marriage Act ruled Unconstitutional
You make an interesting point, but I still think it should be optional for those that feel its appropriate?

- Defense of Marriage Act ruled Unconstitutional
No Im not, but that's because I don't feel anyone's sexuality should be forced on another group and Im pretty sure someone somewhere is already drafting up a lawsuit against <insert church that wont marry you>. Regarding homosexuality? I don't care who sticks which sexual organ into which orifice, as long as everyone is consenting. Okay lets say hypothetically the Federal government doesn't pass any legislation to force any churches to marry gay people. Of course there will be certain churches that will perform the ceremony but that's optional. Would you be happy then?- Defense of Marriage Act ruled Unconstitutional
I think you're wrong about this. They will force it on the churches by revoking their tax exemption status if they say no. Are you pleased with the Supreme Court decision Gfted? Its probably a stupid question as how can anyone not be pleased with the legal progression of equality in the greatest country of Western Democracy and ideology? I'm not even American and I'm ecstatic- The Science of Why We Don't Believe in Science
Its funny you mention that but on my old forum I was told the exact same thing , people use to joke about it But I have a rule, only say something on the Internet that you are prepared to say to that persons face. Also I try to be respectful and polite but I don't always achieve that goal- Defense of Marriage Act ruled Unconstitutional
I think NKKK is being sarcastic- Defense of Marriage Act ruled Unconstitutional
Damn you beat me to posting this progressive and long overdue development All I can say is " well done USA Supreme Court" Gay couples will now get the important benefits around tax and healthcare that straight couples get and cleared the way for gay couples to marry in California. This is great news and every American should be proud of this decision. The next move needs to be pass legislation so that gay marriage is legally allowed in every state. But lets take one step at a time- Crusader Kings II
I have an issue with any game that strays too much from the original plot in a movie or plot. What you mentioned is like playing some game around Lord of the Rings and having Sauron come down from Mordor to arrange a picnic with the Hobbits, or rather that's more likely to happen than Little Finger bringing peace to the Seven Kingdoms It's as not as Black and White as that. Really? I've read the books and I stand by my opinion of Little Finger. Send me a PM if you know something about his character I don't know. I would be interested to hear?- Dragon Age: Inquisition

That was with respect to WoD's link, not Allan's- which I (probably unsurprisingly) near entirely agree with. My bad, I apologize. I was thinking "how could you have got the link so wrong, it doesn't sound like you "- Prism Program ( Big Brother gone too far?)
I hear you but for me there is no right way about revealing national secrets like the Prism program, there is only wrong. I don't think anyone who works for important institutions like NSA should ever make public what they know unless it is clearly and highly illegal and unethical, something like a covert program of genocide. Especially since we now know that Prism helped prevent Terrorist attacks and now Prisms effectiveness has been compromised?- Fashion

Wow, I think you have missed the whole point of the article. But I want to discuss this later when I have more time- The Science of Why We Don't Believe in Science
Wow that's one of the best articles I have read in ages. Really insightful and relevant. I have forwarded it to all the people that I know would appreciate the content I read many interesting points, but the ones that for me are most interesting are The facts, despite what I normally believe, won't always convince people Our subconscious defense mechanism around contrary ideas is to rationalize and not reason To convince someone we can't just use facts but we have to integrate this with there values I find the last point the most thought provoking, I want to discuss this later when I have a break from work as this will lead to more debates
