  1. Yes we have been discussing this on this very thread But thanks for the additional information
  2. http://allafrica.com/stories/201312101528.html http://www.newsdzezimbabwe.co.uk/2013/12/mugabe-cheered-zuma-booed-in-soweto.html http://ethiopianewsforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=67817#p412315 Looks like these people IRL not so easy can be fooled by colonizators as International media try represent. I think everything is only began in SA, real fight begin in future. Its irrelevant the raucous applause Mugabe received. He is one of the last of a dying breed of African dictators. His only legacy will be the fact that he destroyed the Zim economy. His policies won't be followed in other African countries as they are tantamount to economic suicide
  3. Truest thing you've ever written. Suits, pins and them not treating it like a Catholic service, heh. And now, the sign language person was a fraud apparently - http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/nelson-mandela-ceremony-sign-language-interpreter-a-fake-1.2459469 Yeah this sign language fiasco is a real disgrace. All the radio stations are trying to track the guy down, apparently he wasn't signing at all and was just waving his hands. Its really shocking how he conned the organizers of the memorial service that he was qualified to use sign language In fairness what kind of ****ing halfwit goes on a globally televised performance not knowing how to do the job? especially when not knowing how to do it means you are going to take the piss out of the most loved man in national history. Although having said that, it shouldn't have been hard to at least check his references. So more news around this charlatan. The various government spokesmen don't know who hired him and neither does any other government department. But he will get tracked down eventually. You may be wondering "how could a person who can't sign get through security checks to be appointed as the official sign language interpretor of the memorial service ?" Well to be fair to the organisers there were hundreds of other security, logistical and organisational checks that had to be done for the memorial service so this one just slipped through the cracks. But it is embarrassing so this person really needs to be charged with some kind of criminal offense once he is identified

  5. like some sort of Frenchman "like some sort of Frenchman" Okay that was funny
  6. To put this in context, we Englishers have been reflecting on the selfie in recent media. Ah now it makes sense, so basically you are doing what Englishman are renowned for ....complaining when there is no real reason to complain
  7. That's how Dell operates with there warranty but the reality is there support is not good on software problems. So my advice is either get some competent OS person, it may be you, to confirm its not a software issue and if its not then Dell will replace the problematic hardware component. The thing is those laptops do have a fairly good hardware diagnostic program that can be configured to run on startup. So if its hardware this should have been picked up?
  8. Without being pedantic, it wasn't a funeral it was a memorial service and these events are suppose to also be about the celebration of the life of the person. So singing and laughing wouldn't be considered incongruous
  9. I assume it's the taking a "selfie" thing, which was what Walsh's link a few posts above was about. That or the notion that Michelle might have been jealous. I don't understand the "selfie" thing myself, as long as they weren't doing it in the middle of someone's eulogy speech or something. But I didn't see it, so...whatever. Yes good points and I agree. Also the memorial service was done is African style, which meant people were singing and also celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela. So I don't see the issue with people taking a "selfie" Mandela would have wanted people to celebrate his life and death in a way they felt was appropriate. Another consideration is what was Obama suppose to say to the Danish PM..." No thanks I don't want a photo with you and David Cameron".....now that would have been rude and against the principles of what Mandela stood for .
  10. Okay thanks for explaining, I didn't know what DSPS was but I looked it up and now know
  11. Explain to me what is wrong with Obama talking and joking to the Prime Minister of Denmark? If you want to gossip about something substantive you could mention he shook Raul Castro's hand, the president of Cuba, but that is understandable considering the circumstances and the occasion. Edit : Oh I assume you mean Michelle's look, I believe she is trying to be serious for the service
  12. I was able to logon and access my pledge information no problem, so its definitely an intermittent problem
  13. Wowzers that doesn't sound pleasant, what is causing that kind of insomnia?
  14. Don't worry Nep I'm still your friend
  15. 100 % agree, but I don't necessarily want chainmail bikini's but I agree with the sentiment I am an avid fan and backer of PE but I'll increase my pledge if there is a guarantee of Romance options. Yes my money is that easily parted from me
  16. I firmly believe that "discretion is the better part of valour" in certain games, or rather until you are powerful enough to make your enemies wail and suffer the eternal death
  17. Hurlshot that's a bit nasty. You know very well that where Azdeus lives in Sweden there are no cars, only horse drawn carriages
  18. No he is an excellent public speaker. I hope everyone on these forums watches it
  19. You and I both. I'm going to "break" this game so hard and in so many different ways. That was an excellent review of the game and it does look amazing
  20. Really? So you going on a 600 Km road-trip and you think its wrong to go faster than 120Km\h? I don't get that...
  21. I'm just well aware that most people don't care, that's all. No waist covering, incorrect lapels, a variety of improper ties including a four-in-hand; to be fair he does seem to be getting better as time goes on. Black tie's not exactly a uniform, but it is a code. You look daft if you do it wrong, particularly if you have a team of advisors. It's not a difficult thing to do right, so it annoys me when people can't be bothered. Okay thanks for the response, I'll let Walsie comment because you guys probably know more about suit etiquette than I do
  22. Heh, some cop bought it here that way. Was funny to hear them say he was ejected from his cruiser and that was all - lucky his unsafe driving didn't kill anyone, might have hurt his hero status. Yes but we aren't necessarily talking about speeding, we are just talking about going maybe 15-25 km over the speed limit. I don't see why you should get fined for that ? So what is speeding according to you ? Excellent question Malc In South Africa the speed limit on highways and freeways is 120 Km/h, anything over 160 Km/h should be considered speeding. But to fine a person going 140 Km/h just seems unreasonable ?
  23. You misunderstand us, firstly we won't fall out over a debate. This is what we enjoy and cherish The point is I don't think you can tell us what's wrong with his dress code and that's why you are reluctant to tell us the reason. You don't have one And there is nothing wrong with admitting you are wrong, I do all the time. It can be quite liberating
  24. No platitudes Malc, just conviction and sincerity. He made many good points, I strongly recommend you watch his speech. Its not long and is absolutely compelling. You should hear how the crowd loves him.
