  1. Well done for trying to update us, how did it go anyway with the lady?
  2. Nice, Kangaroo I imagine is a lean meat. Probably similar to Ostrich and its very good for you?
  3. Wow, that's a surprise..you eat normal food. I thought you would have gone hunting tonight with Tommy and tracked down some wild bear or Elk for dinner? Not today! I wondered, briefly, if coyote was edible. But I looked at Tommy and thought it would be too weird! But I'm too busy for real cooking tonight though. Good one GD

  5. Same. My favorite brand is King Oscar. Also, why am I just learning that Amazon sells food? When the hell did that happen? I have been thinking about what I said earlier and I want to apologize for saying sardines sounded horrible. This is a discussion about food and we shouldn't' judge any food type just because we find it strange ( for the record I like sardines but it was the cracker part that threw me off )
  6. That looks like a really cool restaurant, I think its a good idea to link restaurants that we go to for those interested in understanding more about the menu and food choices in cities
  7. Google is your friend. Yeah I admit I used a video to find the strategy on how to beat the kraken
  8. Yes you are probably correct, its how meat is cooked. Oh and my bad about the time zone mistake
  9. Seriously for dinner? Don't mean to sound harsh but that sounds horrible
  10. Interesting, no meat? We only have meat about once a week in our house for dinner. My wife got pancreatitis last year and we had to change our diet quite a bit. It has led to some interesting challenges, but I enjoy it. That's why I typically add rice, beans, or lentils to help make the potatoes a complete protein. Thanks for explaining, how are the kids handling the change in food? I assume the new diet is considered very healthy? It is healthier, as long as we don't overload on the carbs. The kids are very good about it. Some people act like it's a huge deal that they don't get a lot of meat, but our Pediatrician is Indian and a vegetarian and she thinks it's great I give the kids corn dogs or chicken nuggets about once a week as well, so they get a bit of extra meat there. I actually have trouble with red meat after eating like this for the last year, so I stick to chicken, turkey, pork, and fish even when I do eat meat. I'll eat a burger on occasion. Its funny you mention red meat but in South Africa we apparently eat too much red meat. Recent studies in the UK have linked it to a real carcinogen. Personally I don't know what to believe, I suppose everything in moderation is fine. So I'll generally eat a steak once a week or so

  12. That sounds great, I'm glad you provided the link as I had never heard of that before. It sounds very British
  13. Wow I have to be honest that sounds delicious, do you cook this yourself? Also what country do you live in Indira..Belgium?
  14. This is what I am looking for as well, I am hoping to build a personal virtual "database" so as time goes on we get to understand the cuisine types in different countries. Something's will be the same but we should see some interesting varieties.
  15. Nope you aren't alone, I thought the combat was fine
  16. Very hard to beat a good Cheese Grill sandwich I am seriously into my cheese and I'm a proud turophile http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/turophile I have spent years experimenting with various cheeses and what compliments them
  17. Sup All This may seem like a random post but I love my food and I'm genuinely interested in what people eat. So I want to try keep this thread going to see what good grub our various members from all our different countries eat for dinner Tonight I'm having Pasta with a Mushroom Sauce, Onions, Mushrooms and some sausages that will be chopped up and used in the Pasta Whats your dinner tonight?
  18. I agree with everything Walsie is saying on this topic but I want to add a few points This is about the principle of a person revealing personal and confidential information about a country. Every single country in the world has information that it doesn't want shared with the world. This is how the system works and its the same globally, this is not a Western phenomena. Even if you don't like America how can you think that a person has the right to distribute anything that is marked as "Top Secret" or similar. Especially when that person happens to work for military intelligence. Quiet diplomatic channels are often used to resolve political issues. The countries involved don't want people finding out about the measures or the discussions around certain developments or discussions. For example why do you think John Kerry has asked both the Israeli's and the Palestinians to keep the latest peace talks out the press? And yet you are fine with Manning deciding to distribute any information irrespective of the consequences Finally would you be happier if I could show you that the leaking of cables had caused the loss of lives, is that what you really looking for. Death and destruction caused by Manning? Would you then agree what he did was wrong?
  19. Shame Humanoid I imagine you had a tough childhood, did your parents refuse to let you play outside and insisted that you sit in front of the PC hacking away at games like Ultima and Kings Quest until you completed them. Was it a case of " no dessert for you until you've completed at least 6 levels of that FPS"?
  20. Thanks Malc, once again its good to see you firmly on the side of people who are opposed to discrimination
  21. or... stop posting personally identifiable/trackable information in clear-text like some mindless dolt? ... It just makes it so much easier for the crazies to move from spouting brain-farts to acting out whatever cognitive dysfunction is assailing them. We've had the Internet for a while now. How is this not the default no.1 rule. Yet there we go, spamming every orifice of social media with the minutiae of our daily activities like some faceless, adoring audience out there is gagging to hear about our last meal, bowel obstruction or hedonistic binge whilst expecting nothing bad could possibly happen. It's like watching a someone hug a lion. The butt-hurt post the mauling is always so dramatic and completely divorced of context. First off, we are now completely OT. Secondly, engaging trolls is the last thing we should do. You cannot win. Anyone who is actively displaying anti-social behavior is not going to play nice because you've taken the time to berate them. They've already demonstrated they lack any concept of social nicety, thus argument from decency is wasted effort. Given that this behavior is rarely self-correcting the *only* response is to ignore it. I agree that you shouldn't engage Trolls, but I am not talking about that. I am talking about people that believe what that saying when they make offensive and bigoted comments. So I stand by what I say, you need to challenge this type of opinion. I can give you many examples that demonstrate what I mean. You will see that this is not people trolling but really what they mean For example " Bioware games suck because they force homosexuality down our throats" Now we all know any Romance option in a Bioware game is optional and even then gay Romance is part of the choices and therefore that view is clearly wrong. So I would challenge anyone who made that comment as its smacks of homophobia
