Melk I contributed towards this game after your endorsement. I'm probably the reason they made there goal, what do want to give me because I supported you?

There was a BG3-as-continuation story suggestion from George Ziets which sounded pretty cool. If it were kickstarted it'd be a no brainer back, more so even than PE. (Link is from the 'codex, whatever formspring has morphed into is just giving me a blank page for some reason else I'd have linked that) What Zora said. There is so much potential and different storylines that you can develop in the Forgotten Realms if a company decided to create a BG3. People often say " but the story effectively ended in BG2, what more can you say" There is a whole world and untapped events that BG3 could focus on. It doesn't even have to be about the same characters that the previous 2 games centred on. For me the issue is not "what story" would a developer tell but rather "would we get a complex, challenging and worthy game that does the previous BG justice" ?

Truly a bigot. I suppose it's hardly surprising, with FB being so normalised as a kind of inside-outside soliloquy. Still crap. ~~ Terrible story in the news today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-25108439 The band this ...thing was from FB'd their 'closure' on the admission. Not sure how it's appropriate to FB anything remotely like this. I saw this on Sky, it really is depraved. I'm sure you will find out that Watkins was abused himself when he was younger. But what is particularly sick is how some of his female fans agreed to give there children to him. If you look at how a paedophile operates and then you consider how influential a singer can be on groupies you have a recipe for disaster

Update 68 Camp-out thread
BruceVC replied to Sensuki's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I tend to agree, I want to understand more about what you mentioned but also how Romance will be implemented? We haven't had information around Romance so any insight would be pertinent -
I've just watched Ironclad and its worth watching, a solid 70/100. Its set in England in the 1200's after the signing of the Magna Carta and it is basically about a group of Templars who make a stand against King John in Rochester Castle. I'm not sure how historically accurate it is but its very entertaining if you enjoy your Medieval movies

http://www.ctvnews.ca/world/hollywood-film-producer-arnon-milchan-confirms-he-was-israeli-spy-1.1560010 Interesting story, Arnon Milchan who has produced movies like Pretty Women and Fight Club has admitted he was a spy for Israel for years. What do our American members think about this? Was this just normal Cold War skulduggery or do you think this type of spying at this level is worse as Israel is an ally of the USA?

Does Thanksgiving dinner differ from state to state in the USA or is there generally the same meal, for example Turkey?

Update 68 Camp-out thread
BruceVC replied to Sensuki's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I knew you would wait with a bottle of whiskey Kaine, but the salient question is " will one bottle be enough" -
What are you interested in? My comment is more general, I know I can go search for the particular KS project or browse a certain gaming website but for example the article on Kotaku around Mandate and then those screenshots from Dreamfall there were no links for easy reference.

Sorry, for the OT, but man, I hate that answer. Of course what they decide is probably (but still not necessarily) the best choice. But we're on a forum where we discuss our ideas about a game we'd love to play. It's always the same in every opinion-based thread in every forum in existence. There's always at least one guy who says "Well, every person should know for themselves". Yeah, of course they should. Obviously. But that's not what we're here to talk about You completly missed the point of my post. Nah, you're just acting as if you were Captain Obvious. I also don't understand the point of Sharp_ones original post and I agree with your sentiment around his comment Sophos.

So is it fair to say that you don't have confidence in Beamdog being able to develop BG3? Your post is a little confusing around where you sit in this discussion....

Cosmology of P:E
BruceVC replied to Mr. Magniloquent's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I also enjoyed the way D&D presented the concept of the planes, gods and the afterlife. I still have my Manual of the Planes by Jeff Grubb But we need to be realistic, the cosmology of D&D took years to develop and had several iterations. PE is a new fantasy IP so I don't expect too much detail when PE is released. I imagine the cosmology will become more complex as time goes on -
. For many people neither will be true, I certainly don't want a shovelware BG3 and at the moment I have little faith in Overhaul to provide worthwhile overhauls, let alone new work. Wow that's a very negative view on Beamdogs ability to deliver Personally I long for another RPG that is set in the Forgotten Realms and offers the same entertainment as BG2, so a BG3 would be ideal. I accept that we may never see another one but if Beamdog claims they want to make BG3 then they will have my full financial support

Guys please include links when you post comments so those of us interested can do further reading about a particular KS

Interesting fact but the first pizzas that were ever made in the 1600's in Naples only had anchovies, basel, garlic and olive oil. No cheese or tomato base. So your current pizza choice isn't far off from the original pizzas
-
I hate that, when people throw rocks at you in the street and you have to think of clever and inventive ways to exact revenge ... like putting bananas on a pizza. Exactly, I see you understand completely

Good thinking, it sounds like a nice meal

If you lived in a country that was under real military threat you would understand the significance of military service and the fact that women want to be soldiers wouldn't be an unusual thought for you I live in Finland, so take a wild guess on the military threat. Also, we already had women in the army in the front line services way back when i did my time in there 10 years ago, that is also beside the point. The point was, is that waving the flag for equality in something that is necessary evil is hardly something that would make you feel warm and fuzzy. I hear what you are saying but I think you are missing my point. Most people who join there respective countries military services don't do it because they think it is a necessary evil or because they want to kill people. They do it primarily as a duty for the country and a calling. If you agree with that then having women as part of an army should be seen as commendable and no different to men serving in the armed forces but aren't you missing his point that it doesn't matter why they THINK they're doing it? His reaction depends on why HE thinks they're doing it. Yes but if he is missing something that may change his reaction then the continued discussion is appropriate

InExile is plotting to ruin Torment by making it turn-based
BruceVC replied to khango's topic in Computer and Console
Still going on: Indf/RTwP/TB 684/6331/6582 I hear the TB fans are voting via an orderly queue but its taking a lot of time to get through; on the other side, some joker yelled out "SPACE BAR" around the RTwP fans and now they're stuck waiting for someone to yell it again. That was clever- 343 replies

InExile is plotting to ruin Torment by making it turn-based
BruceVC replied to khango's topic in Computer and Console
They already made their choice. It makes no sense to "consult" backers at this point, other than some lame PR. Do they really need outsiders making decisions for them? I thought they're supposed to be experienced game developers. During their kickstarter campaign they said that they will draft couple different combat systems that in their opinion will work fine in the game so that people can give their opinion about them and then most of the backers though that was good plan, which is reason why they now ask backers opinion about it. Although during drafting those said combat systems they have started to favor one over other, because in their opinion it's easier and faster to implement, which of course don't mean that it would be the best system for the game, which it is in my opinion, not because it easier to implement, but how they describe it to work versus how they describe other system to work. Interesting and relevant information, thanks- 343 replies
