  1. Wow Tale I always thought you had more patience than that, I can't believe you gave up after 10 hours Everyone knows you only stop pointless and repetitive monster fighting scenes after 100 hours, the way I see it you still have 90 hours in that maze. Back to the game son, back to the game
  2. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/01/20/shroud-of-the-avatars-raised-over-3-million/#more-185347 Wow so this game is slated for a March 2014 release, that's a mere 2 months away. 2014 really seems to the " Year of the RPG "
  3. http://www.destructoid.com/leaked-grand-theft-auto-v-bug-log-references-pc-version-269160.phtml More evidence of port to PC for GTA V, its looking good folks Now we just an official statement
  4. What about me Prime, doesn't the Internet need more people like me who are committed evangelists to decent Romance options in RPG? You know you need more people like me .....
  5. I think that's a good call. I haven't played the original BG, I picked it up on a Steam sale for $5 or so. I'll play it some time in the future
  6. I'm a rogue program imagination, I'm the malevolent thought you can't stop thinking, the kind of thought that can't be forgotten nor controlled. I like the thought of you being in my imagination all the time...what lingerie would you be wearing? Personally I prefer pink or black but some role-playing outfits would work for me if that's fine for you?
  7. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/19/world/middleeast/iraq-bombings-and-fighting-kill-dozens.html?_r=0 More bomb blasts and killings in Baghdad and general violence as the Iraqi security forces try to recapture Anbar province from ISIS
  8. This makes sense because in some of these games, particularly games from the east, the breast sizes are completely disproportionate to the size of the women. This is a positive step in the campaign to address the objectification of ladies in games.
  9. clicking all the white icons on the screen != solving puzzles clicking through dialogue != playing a game walking from one screen to the next != exploration clicking through a QTE != combat It's not that different from a point and click adventure game really although TWD obviously doesn't want people to get stuck on anything since the story is the focus. Does it matter whether it's a game or not though? That's just a label, a lot of people clearly enjoy the product. I guess you're right, that's the bottom line - how successful the product is. I guess I'm just upset people support products I don't like. I'd much rather see game companies push themselves and genres they work on forward. It may not matter that much as we seem to be debating semantics, but I still think you guys would feel much better about yourselves if you admitted that Walking Dead is a game. I think you'll find it therapeutic
  10. What exactly is the definition of "blant"? I tried Googling it, but all I got were crappy urban dictionary entries that seemed to have nothing to do with the subject at hand, as well as one entry that basically equated to "bland". It is me trying to type "bland" at 4:45AM it happens to the best of us
  11. Yes and the primary reason we didn't see war declared between the USA and USSR was because of the threat of nuclear holocaust but as you mentioned they did fight various ideological proxy wars throughout Africa and other continents.
  12. I didn't think you got Appletiser outside South Africa, I assume its imported? I love Appletiser but I prefer Red Grapetiser, its so refreshing
  13. You correct of course and you forgetting to mention the fact we have you to point out our intellectual impotence and lack of ability to have debates to your level of mental stimulation...but Monte we are striving and trying to reach your level....be patient ...don't abandon us ...
  14. I've just started Dishonoured and even though I'm only 3 hours into it I can see myself enjoying it
  15. Eh, I dunno. Most of the war memorials here are effectively maintained by volunteers (some by local councils), with only one being a state memorial so far as I am aware. I don't think that makes any practical difference to how they're thought of, and I'm pretty sure most of the soviet war memorials were directly state funded. Immediately after the war there may have been some attempts to bury issues especially given Stalin, but then again it was only a week or so ago we had a certain British minister complaining about people being taught that the Brit leadership in WW1 was incompetent and that being 'unpatriotic', so it's hardly a disease solely limited to Russians given that British military conduct in WW1 was... uninspired at very best, in the vast majority of cases. I have to challenge your comment around the British sacrifice in WW1 being uninspired. Can you give details? The British played a huge part in the victory over Germany but they also paid a huge price. They nearly had a whole generation of men annihilated and there culture changed forever. If your point is about there war leaders then yes there was debatable incompetence but all the countries involved in WW1 had leaders who made bad decisions at times that lead to the death of thousands of there men So maybe you can explain why the British performed so badly in WW1 as opposed to other countries?
  16. Tonight I'm going for drinks and dinner with someone I've known for ages. She is a really interesting lady, knows how to have fun and has just got out of a relationship. I have pizza, Vodka and Tequila on the menu and we'll see how the night progresses
  17. A dislike of Steam doesn't mean a dislike of digital distribution. Due to where I live I am unable to use a landline for my internet. I'm forced to use wireless internet. Here I pay AUS $50 per 6 gigabytes of internet usage (upload and download combined). Currently 25% of my Steam purchases are unplayable because Steam insists that they be updated before I can play them. Turning off auto update doesn't mean they don't have to be updated, it simply means you decide when the update begins. Steam still requires the update to be completed before the game can be played. Due to the size of some of the updates, it would cost me two or three times the original purchase price to download these updates. That is why I dislike Steam. Not because it's digital distribution, but because of Steam's policies. Other digital distribution platforms aren't as draconian in their update policies as Steam which means I can continue to use the product I payed for for as long as I like, when I like. I heard smoke signals are a good way to communicate in more rural areas, have you considered using that method as a data transport mechanism? Have you heard about all the fires here in Aus at the moment? How many do you think were caused by smoke signal network overload? funny

  19. Nothing too extreme. My wife won an all expenses paid trip from her work so airfare, hotel, food and alcohol were all covered. Night one was the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay, night two was Javier's in Aria, and night three was Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville, which by far was the most fun of the three. Good times and I even managed to get out of there only down $100 in gambling. Also took in a comedy show called Defending the Caveman, which was pretty hilarious. I remember you mentioning it, it sounds like it was a great trip
  20. I share your concern, a trailer would be appreciated
