  1. I sent it to you as a present, no need to thank me
  2. You see that's the great paradox about Bioware games, especially ones with such an impressive marketing engine. We all really love Bioware games and the anticipation of the grand RPG journey that awaits us. Because for most of us despite what we say we long for a return to the classic enjoyment and fulfilment of the original games and there is always the slight hope that Bioware will deliver another indelible RPG experience
  3. Gratz How long did it take you and how was it compared to DS1 ?
  4. dude where is that from
  5. Monte I have come to realize that there is a perspective to Romance I haven't explained and you anti-romancers haven't realised. Basically promancers truly embrace and understand the RPG experience on a greater level than people who don't interact with the Romance options. I can explain it to you if you want?
  6. Wowzers but I made myself something so much better tonight. A smaller herb salad, avocado pear and feta. Then I did some over baked fish that is truly delicious.
  7. You can't be serious???? Did you really think Oby was Mor?
  8. Or that you can't romance the furry NPC unless you go on a quest to turn yourself into a werewolf. Possibilities are endless. Do you really think they would include some kind of Werewolf Romance? I doubt it...there more than enough options and excitement around humanoid Romance I can't wait to develop more meaningful and complex relationships in an RPG this makes one wonder why you have interest in the bioware romances... is a virtual oxymoron-- meaningful bioware romance. by definition, an optional game romance that is both insular and discreet has rather harsh limits on how meaningful it may be. HA! Good Fun! Gromnir surly you realize that Romance adds to a deeper connection with party members in a RPG , this has been irrefutably proven. You do know this right?
  9. At this point, it is pretty much so. The last argument that I recall being "really" on topic was when Zoraptor failed to connect the current Crimean events to post soviet movements, arguing in favor of the provided referendum format. Other than that it has been a long ride of deflections from superficial similarities concerning other conflicts, to any number of tangent topic that conveniently allowed to avoid any criticism of Russia actions by feeding the Russia vs West/US paradigm so they can argue ideologies or policies, which catered to our Westren posters who aren't to happy with USA with their rants and conspiracy stuff, instead of posting in a relevant thread (btw Sarex I am still waiting to hear on why that banking scheme doesn't effect Russia) Overall this whole thing is really about "democracy". Like with china we all know about the situation of Democracy, human rights and various freedoms there but every discussion about change should be started with the understanding of its size and population (~1.4 Billion) etc.. IMHO for china any real change will be disaster. Same goes with Russia, it is not NATO that spooked Putin, it is democracy knocking on its doors, Putin wants a buffer between him and those ideas such as open society and independent mass media where opposing view can't be stumped out. So while the propaganda media coverage of Ukrainian events was outrageous, but overall the goal wasn't challenging the legitimacy of Ukrainian government which wasn't susceptible to "mother Russia" pressure and buried the fact that it was revolution against corrupted and criminal system of state relations(like in Russia) with Nazis scare crows. The goal was mostly about attacking the "western democratic/financial experiment", in order to suppress any positive sentiments toward its own opposition (on top of the usual things like mock trials of prominent political dissidents). Overall all those wars serve to bolster Putin's approval ratings, providing a distraction from his failure to turn the country into a modern state. Queen Catherine once said that she had no way to defend her borders but to extend them, ~similar thing might be said about Putin's effort starting with Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine (more Ukraine to come soon? linking it with Moldova\transnistria) and OBy promised something about Azerbaijan.. Anyway you know the saying that there are three things we don't get tired of watching: Running water, burning fire and other people working. My adaptation is that there are three things we don't get tired of arguing about: Government, taxes and trying to prove we are right? That's a good post Mor, I hope the boys take the time to read and absorb it
  10. -Increases walking speed- Look, I am really sorry, but I don't have any change, okay? Okay that undoubtedly gets the much coveted " BruceVC funniest post of the Week" award
  11. How do you meet people? That's actually an excellent point, at times I always seem to miss the most relevant question
  12. Exactly and you guys like to put your fingers in dykes for fun to stop water flooding your flat land right ? I thought that was Denmark. Maybe Denmark as well but I don't think so...does Denmark have dykes? http://www.pantheon.org/articles/l/little_dutch_boy.html
  13. Short article but very interesting and relevant, I can't wait to develop more meaningful and complex relationships in an RPG ....but I wonder what that means from a practical gaming point of view?
  14. I suppose the best reason for talking to strangers is the different and interesting responses you can get, you can learn new things about people that way. I think it really depends whether people are used to it. In some countries, people are a little more reserved. I remember going backpacking through England and Scotland with my brother when I was a teenager, and the completely new experience of sitting at random people's tables and having a chat with them. I am pretty sure if I tried that back home people would stare me away from their table with an evil gaze of death. We had some funny conversations. In Dover, some old geezers who were constantly sniffing tobacco made us a proposition for us to be their drug mules (because, everyone knows us Dutchies do nothing else but drugs all day). We met some Glaswegian girls, one of which was completely convinced that she had an internet relationship with an actor who had played in "Children of the Corn". This was in the early days of the internet, we didn't even have an email address yet, but we were pretty sure she was being duped - but try telling that to a starry-eyed teenager. And I remember this one girl in Glasgow who upon hearing that we had planned to go north loudly said, in thick Glaswegian accent, that up north they were nothing but a "bunch 'o sheep shaggers!" We couldn't stop laughing, the way she said it. I am not sure whether it was that people are more accepting towards such things at the other side of the sea, or whether it was because people open up more to a bunch of hippie backpacking tourists, but it was a great experience. That being said, when some stranger approaches me, my first thought is always a suspicious "I wonder what they want from me?" But Wolfmeister you speak to me? We don't know each other...and we always have a good laugh don't we?
  15. There are 12 straight options, 30 gay guys for buggering, 41 lesbians, 57 transsexuals, 1 table and we're still not sure if the sheep from Arcanum is gonna make it to the party or not. Wow you talk about hyperbole. Do you have an issue with Romance options for gay fans of the game? You seem to be making a big about the fact that Bioware takes the issue of Romance inclusivity seriously?
  16. Funny thing is I am really excited about this game, in fact probably more than PoE and the main reason being due to the deep party interaction that will come with the Romance options that will be in DA:I

  19. Well you are weird then. People do what they want usually because they want to, not exactly into telling people how they should do things nor am I particularly tolerant of people doing that to me even over something as mundane as what I use to sweeten my coffee. Nor am I really that interested in random strangers attempting to talk to me, too much worry about being robbed or distracted enough for that, begged for money, trying to be sold something or having some nutcase engage me. Did at least stare at him until he walked away though, so I guess it was amusing really. So you are honestly going to tell me you never speak to strangers? I find that hard to believe...what about if you are at a bar waiting to get served a drink? I know you don't drink alcohol but I'm sure you have ordered drinks before ?
  20. Malc, this post highlights just how different you and I are ( which we already know ) I also do what that guy did, you do it because you are trying to give someone good advice. But it can be misunderstood and seen in a negative light....like when you said he was weird for suggesting you use honey. It reminds me of that joke where I ask a stranger to pay for my groceries in a supermarket line I would be fine with a friend saying something like that, but from a stranger... Well, I would think he should mind his own business. It sort of comes across as... "Hi, I don't know you, but I'd like to tell you what to do..." Valid consideration Wolfmeister, there is an art to giving advice or chatting to strangers. I have learnt through trial and error what works and the best way to get your advice seen in a positive light...but sometimes you can't help being misunderstood
