  1. Like the city of London was ready to elect a new police chief. Like the city of London was ready to elect a new police chief. You funny GD
  2. Hi Mamie darling Any pressing SJW issues in the game that may potentially destroy fun
  3. Okay remember this idea of jail time for extreme racism is not legal or very well supported, many black people are against it But white people like myself and other black people are pushing for extreme measures, your post has had the impact of exaggerating what I want but you also are right because yes this is a unique situation and yes I would argue john stuart mill didnt understand Apartheid legacy But I am pushing for this to protect human rights....not to abuse it but then you could argue it could be abused I dont really agree with how you Americans all support free speech where you believe "there are no exceptions " , in SA we know certain words are very hurtful and symbolic and remind people of the past. So we ban those words, its no problem but then we still have isues like this http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jan/05/south-african-woman-faces-criminal-charges-racist-tweets So I guess I need to explain an Apartheid story, Gromnir I seem to be echoing what you said earlier but what black South Africans went through is unique. Your life story is really about you facing numerous challengers and events like racism in the early days but end of the day you became a much stronger person...and now you can give input which is interesting and thought provoking ...but I still say even you are underestimating the mental trauma of Apartheid ...but give me time to write this story
  4. 'Now a federated, decentralised system of free associations, incorporating economic as well as other social institutions, would be what I refer to as anarcho-syndicalism; and it seems to me that this is the appropriate form of social organisation for an advanced technological society in which human beings do not have to be forced into the position of tools, of cogs in the machine. There is no longer any social necessity for human beings to be treated as mechanical elements in the productive process; that can be overcome and we must overcome it to be a society of freedom and free association, in which the creative urge that I consider intrinsic to human nature will in fact be able to realize itself in whatever way it will.'kay Okay so first but serious criticism ...its very difficult to even understand his point because he uses his own strange terms and vernacular to describe things and he is well known for personal bias ...so what does this even mean human beings do not have to be forced into the position of tools, of cogs in the machine ( what is he suggesting....human beings are not cogs ) human beings to be treated as mechanical elements in the productive process (please dont tell he has an issue with people getting jobs ) society of freedom and free association ( please dont tell me he thinks the USA isn't free? )
  5. Hoon how is your sister by the way, you dont seem to talk about her anymore ?
  6. I found this stat to be particularly telling: I've got a lot of different thoughts on this. I would definitely say my history teachers in college leaned heavily towards liberalism, although I never bought into the whole idea that we were being brainwashed. They certainly weren't as aggressive as some of the conservative mouth pieces like Rush LImbaugh with their agendas. As a teacher myself, all I really want is for students to see a wide range of opinions and have the critical thinking skills to process them all. But I'm not teaching at the same level, so it's a very different atmosphere. The reason why there are so little right-leaning people in the social sciences is because a lot of the material and the theories they are working with are based on political agendas suited for the left ideals instead of pursuit of empirical knowledge. Chomsky have critized them for this and Foucault even admitted as much. Chomsky annoys me with his anti-Western sentiment yet he lives and studies in the US and attacks its core principles He is a hypocrite, why doesnt he go live in Russia then? It's because you think that his criticism means that he is a supporter of oppressive regimes when he's actually basing his attacks on anarcho-syndicalist ideals. If you want critisize the guy, at least understand what you're up against. Meshugger just before I respond with some criticism is this real....is this what he believes and do you support this? Please tell me KP doesn't believe this as well ? You not trolling me?

  8. I dont really like labels...what would you classify me as in American terms? I support Clinton and Obama legacy I would classify you as non-American. I certainly wouldn't classify myself as South African anything. Thats not really helpful...its kind of those answers where the person either is being dismissive or cant bother to respond constructively so they come up with something that is .....fatuous considering the question? Its like LK saying " how can someone who doesnt live in the USA know more about politics than an actual citizen " ...I expect more from you young grasshopper You made a direct comment about me, I asked you for your opinion in a reasonable way, I assume you understand US political definitions, you know my posting etiquette and you could have just given your opinion...yet you response was bizarre Why would anyone think you are South African...yet you do have some political leanings that are shared by some left wing parties like the DA
  9. I dont really like labels...what would you classify me as in American terms? I support Clinton and Obama legacy
  10. The thing is the left is not anti-gun, its anti-arsenal and despite the evidence many Americans are opposed to this and see this as some sort of Constitutional and Federal overreach...the resistance to something prudent seems almost orchestrated But please dont tell me you also want a gun now ? Because we dont need the Left for this one, no you dont need a gun....trust me
  11. Well to be fair I avoid using it because you guys always seem to overreact to its meaning
  12. Ros have you ever read about the battle Verdun? I recommend this book http://www.amazon.com/Price-Glory-Verdun-1916/dp/0140170413 Even if you have read other books about Verdun you must read this one, its evocative, compelling, disturbing and haunting
  13. Yes you correct, we did debate that point and its an interesting one but Shady I really dont mind people like you guys disagreeing with me ..I just dont listen or respect people who cant have a debate without constant personal attacks Thats normal and I often learn things if I'm wrong or realize my view is not relevant in a certain debate But I still stand by that point, it does make me feel a little condescending but sometimes the truth can make you feel a little guilty Why would I consider the opinions or voting perspectives of 18, 19, 20 or 21 year olds? ( I think that was the debate ) Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion but normally young people that age are really about having fun and idealism ...let them have fun and we just have to ensure they are influenced to vote a certain way that is really what you want But another question you are a military man, do you support gun control that is done in a reasonable way?
  14. You don't need as many guns generally or need to fight certain legislation that makes owning certain guns illegal . The world knows this, the UN knows this, American Democrats know this ....it has been proven in several countries that stricter gun control reduces gun violence. Many of your fellow Americans on this forum think gun control is a good idea? Right there Bruce. That is EXACTLY the arrogance I'm talking about. In just one half sentence you are presuming you know better than me what I need. Well I wouldnt see that part of the overall point in such a negative and direct way...think of it as a way to encourage debate Also what if someone else like a Police Chief of London made the same point to you how would you feel?
  15. GD !!!! That's rude ....I'm never arrogant, I just want to share information But on a serious notel, lets forget the words " "they need to have it explained to them better" because it probably seems condescending in fact lets leave any assumptions or emotional views about what you think I mean....so lets say you have no opinion on gun control You don't need as many guns generally or need to fight certain legislation that makes owning certain guns illegal . The world knows this, the UN knows this, American Democrats know this ....it has been proven in several countries that stricter gun control reduces gun violence. Many of your fellow Americans on this forum think gun control is a good idea? So this is not really a view of the left but more based on science and real evidence ...it still surprises me someone like yourself who is technically minded, not unreasonable or erratic like Vals rejects this logic ? Silly question but is your dismissal of gun control not based on some subconscious opinion that it is coming from the left so its wrong?
  16. No you not understanding this issue properly, its not just you because you guys keep bringing up Facebook which is a trivial, gossip, superficial form of social media Its fine, you have live here to understand it
  17. Gfted1 you will be very impressed with me...I had a problem with my geyser, there was no hot water. The plumbers came out and explained I had to call an electrician as apparently there is switch that controls the hot water I am not sure if i told you but because my mom raised me and I only saw my dad every third weekend, and he was business man who had staff who did DYI, I never learnt any DYI skills.....like I'm really bad, I havent even mowed the lawn before and sometimes I feel like I missed out on some passage of boyhood Anyway for 3 days last week I had to take cold showers because I wasn't able to phone the electrician but yesterday I thought " what would Gfted1 do in my situation? He would say " get under the hood and take a look " ...so I took my trusty torch and headed into the roof and guess what ? I fixed the issue
  18. Okay well if that story didnt convince you racist words can lead to a collapse of a country then nothing will I'll be honest I think you have to experience it to really understand why I would consider this drastic move But even if I try to explain I wont do the reality justice....trust me GD its unique but dont think I am complaining, I want to be part of the transformation...thats why I didn't take the US job offer. I remember how excited you were...I was planning on definitely visiting several people on this forum but of course only if it was appropriate If you were fine with that I would have loved to meet your dogs and walked to Cold Creek.....then beers with Mani and Leferd and visited kgambit and others
  19. Yes I know this is a extreme point by me, its not law its just my idea For you guys I respect the reality you live in, freedom of speech is important to your way of life and in most countries you would never send someone to jail for what they say But you must understand the reality of South Africa. We have several unique and real social and historical challengers that could undermine the entire transformation of the country ...I dont mean we will end up in the civil war but I mean an entire collapse of the economy Now racism is part of this and these types of comments are part of that, its been 22 years and many white people are part of the transformation but we have an economic reality where the majority of black South Africans are simply not part of it There is a real success story with the growing black middle class and many stories of transformation but I would say they represent maybe 35 % of the total number of black people. Now I am part of the white people in SA who has a good job but is also part of the transformation, most black people who are part of the economically disenfranchised 65 % have become stoical and accept this reality But they are susceptible to populist movements and there is always a slight risk that if a perception gets created that white people are still racist this could lead to extreme economic policies like Nationalization....which means the entire economy will collapse This has happened in certain African countries, so when white people demonstrate this type of appalling racism it really could impact the entire country For me I have no sympathy or inclination in educating any white person like this or being understanding , they simply need to be removed from society None of the many white people I know would ever use language like this so its rare but an example needs to be made
  20. Yes, thats probably best in this type of game I started playing DA:I but stopped after 1 hour, I'll play it again but compared to W3 it just didnt grab me
  21. South Africa is such a unique and interesting model of how a country is structured after something like Apartheid and we face unusual challengers We really are unique in a political and social sense, for example can you think of another country where A minority group( 10 % ) controlled the majority ( 90 % ) for 50 years Then the system ends and the majority becomes the government 22 years into the new political dispensation even thought the majority is in charge the minority has most of the economic opportunities and for the majority many of them still are unemployed or have low end jobs The minority consists of about 20 % who are actually relevant in the economy....the rest of the minority are not really relevant and spend time complaining and whining But despite this you still have the majority of black South Africans who dont blame the whites, arent angry and say things like " we must be nice to white people " Yet the fortunate situation that white people really find themselves in is due to Mandela as he said to all the black people who suffered for 50 years " we must be nice to white people" And yet you have stories like this from selfish and ungrateful whites http://www.iol.co.za/news/south-africa/western-cape/an-open-letter-of-apology-from-matttheunissen-2017866 And he thinks an apology is enough....he is a disgrace, I wish we could jail this type of person
  22. Actually I have never ever judged Trump on looks ....I dont judge politicians or celebrities on looks. You can prove me wrong but I doubt you will find any post like that from me I judge them on there actions and opinions .... Also Trump will obviously never say " I'm sexist " and he probably thinks he isn't. The type of sexism Im talking about is not your normal " women shouldnt be allowed to vote "...its more subtle and is more about his general reactions
  23. Yes this was my experience, he only hit on me once and I said " no but don't take it personally ...I still need your magic " It really wasn't a big deal Volo have you ever used the adult Romance mod and Romanced Iron Bull?
  24. I think it's more of the latter than the former. Michelle Malkin is way better looking and does not have Coulter's profile because she is less inflammatory while still being just as conservative. Okay, she has always irritated me and I haven't noticed her looks Yet I did think Megyn Kelly is hot and intelligent ...am I a hypocrite
  25. Volo do you think Coulter makes sense? Coulter has never made sense, but that isn't because of her looks. imo nobody asked my opinion but you get it any way I always value your opinion I dont know why we are debating her looks....once again women get judged on something irrelevant I said she is irritating and uninformed about what Trump can deliver on ...her looks are not part of the equation ?
