I think you'd agree that making a game like Sims is a lot harder than a game like CoD, for example. but maybe making various clones of Sims would be more productive than making CoD clones

violence sells. sex sells. it's human nature. putting it into video games is just exploiting it. it's not wrong to assume it attracts customers. it does. if a publisher can sell non-violent games - more power to them. but I don't think many publishers would just deny themselves such an opportunity to make some extra money

Yes, Volo. it really is. it's not the best game ever, not even one of the best. but it's better than DS1, and *that* game is almost universally considered a masterpiece (in reality it's a piece of crap, but you know that already)

what AI? the only NPCs are zombies themselves, and they don't have any fancy AI behind them (they're animals with custom models and animation), because there's usually 400-700 of them on the server simultaneously.

In case you guys don't know about it yet, there's this mod for ArmA2 that has pushed ArmA2 to 5th place in Steam's top sellers list. people are buying ArmA2 just to play it (btw, if you do want to try it eventually, DON'T buy it on Steam, it will make things, ugh, unnecessarily complicated, buy a regular version of ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead and combine it with ArmA Free). the mod is called DayZ, and is arguably "the best zombie survival game of the decade" and "the STALKER MMO that never was" as a lot of people call it. google it, you'll be surprised. it's in Alpha stage atm (meaning there's almost no content in it), but people play it for the challenge and for the emotions. it's very brutal
