  1. oh boy... things are looking bad
  2. what about that copulation scene in San Andreas. I remember people going ape**** over it
  3. I think you'd agree that making a game like Sims is a lot harder than a game like CoD, for example. but maybe making various clones of Sims would be more productive than making CoD clones
  4. violence sells. sex sells. it's human nature. putting it into video games is just exploiting it. it's not wrong to assume it attracts customers. it does. if a publisher can sell non-violent games - more power to them. but I don't think many publishers would just deny themselves such an opportunity to make some extra money
  5. I hear Canadian Colts are better made than their US counterparts
  6. no, 4. which is almost half of the episode
  7. If this is awesome acting, I'd hate to see "bad acting" by your definition. and why the hell would Canadians run around with German rifles, when half the world is using assault rifles manufactured in Canada?
  8. meh, if I had wanted that kind of sights, I'd have logged into Day Z
  9. so edgy. teach me your ways
  10. Yes, Volo. it really is. it's not the best game ever, not even one of the best. but it's better than DS1, and *that* game is almost universally considered a masterpiece (in reality it's a piece of crap, but you know that already)
  11. I just want to see some screenies
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQK_V8GYeow looks like Dragon Age, meh
  13. wha?! Obsidian is in the same building with Red 5? I was one floor above and didn't even know it?
  14. Warner Brothers was the first thing to throw me off balance. only then I actually bothered to read the video title. shame on you D:

  16. well, there you go, Obsidian is losing people fast, their next step should be moving to Europe :D or Austin, TX at least
  17. http://www.lar.net/2012/01/09/how-larian-ended-up-self-publishing/ Obsidian should be doing it too
  18. another proof that Activision is evil http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/05/24/respawn-39-s-west-and-zampella-sound-off-on-upcoming-activision-lawsuit.aspx?PostPageIndex=1
  19. http://documents.latimes.com/bungie-activision-contract/ 8 projects from Bungie in the next 8 years
  20. wow, I guess every thread on this forum is a Steam thread nowadays
  21. Wasteland 2 will be made in Unity
  22. what AI? the only NPCs are zombies themselves, and they don't have any fancy AI behind them (they're animals with custom models and animation), because there's usually 400-700 of them on the server simultaneously.
  23. In case you guys don't know about it yet, there's this mod for ArmA2 that has pushed ArmA2 to 5th place in Steam's top sellers list. people are buying ArmA2 just to play it (btw, if you do want to try it eventually, DON'T buy it on Steam, it will make things, ugh, unnecessarily complicated, buy a regular version of ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead and combine it with ArmA Free). the mod is called DayZ, and is arguably "the best zombie survival game of the decade" and "the STALKER MMO that never was" as a lot of people call it. google it, you'll be surprised. it's in Alpha stage atm (meaning there's almost no content in it), but people play it for the challenge and for the emotions. it's very brutal
