what's this new X-Com you're talking about?

I only played CoD: MW in MP for a couple of days. same with Titanfall. and from what I've seen in both games I feel that's a relatively accurate comparison

well, this movie supports your claim. but then it shows episodes where US troops failed to do proper police job, because they were under orders not to get involved. and that's what bothers me the most. the US sends in troops to occupy a country under pretenses of rebuilding it, but then simply abandons the people it promised to take care of. and I saw interviews with Army officers who couldn't hold back their tears, because they knew they weren't doing everything they could've done to help people, they were powerless. because generals and politicians ****ed everyone over

watched My Country, My Country - a documentary about the first democratic elections in Iraq after Saddam's regime was toppled. It's really good, it mostly follows an Iraqi doctor and his family, and their day to day tasks shed some light on the life in Baghdad after operation Iraqi Freedom's conclusion. Some very touching moments, some very disturbing moments as well. A great opportunity to look at the whole thing from another angle.

I played Titanfall's beta. and I loved it. it's a perfect mix of Counter Strike, Tribes and UT2004 - the only shooters I ever enjoyed.

Condoleezza Rice is involved in that = no support from me
-
damn, I could never pay full price for that game. it's just ridiculously overpriced. 80 Euros for a strictly multiplayer project is insane

physically strong women scare the **** out of me as well. there's the fit girl, and then there's the muscle freak. latter kind just overdo it with building muscles and burning fat. their hormones change, their shapes do as well, hips become narrower, shoulders wider. at that point she may as well be a man, I wouldn't know the difference

sorry, double post

isn't Diablo 3 an MMO now? EVE would probably be right up your alley, from what my friends tell me about it, but it has a step learning curve. it's almost a rogue-like game

how is it? I loved Frozen Synapse.

yeah, we'll have to wait for one of our in-house Sith lords to come branch the thread
-
only now I realize it's a news thread, and not exclusively Feminism thread.

it bothers you that someone could actually like dressing like that, or that a game dev thought someone could, when in fact no living person ever would? if it's the latter, I'd say you're digging in too deep. that's talking in extremities. there are women who wear bikinis while walking down the street, because it's hot outside. and the only thing more extreme would be to walk around naked. I can't imagine what kind of outfit would be considered extreme in a video game, considering what I said above. I don't think bikini "objectifies" women in any way. on the contrary. and while the game dev in question might have been driven by the "sex sells" formula, in the end he only serves to prove that in Western society women today have more freedom than ever, and it will only get better.

I went back in time and found this: http://www.destructoid.com/a-response-to-some-arguments-in-anita-sarkeesian-s-interview-230570.phtml that was one of the things that turned me against her. she just looks like not giving a damn about her own arguments' strength. she is very quick to speak out against issues, supporting her arguments with inaccurate, or simply made up "facts", and without going into detail. "I don't like this and that, let's not discuss why, that would take too long, just trust me." it almost looks as if she was trying to make stuff up, hoping people wouldn't notice. and only people who really know the actual matter will see she's full of ****.

I really liked him in Pain & Gain
-
that's largely due to how ShackTac chooses to play, though. on public servers it's not nearly as well organized. and most public servers run Altis Life or Wasteland anyway
-
nobody wants to play Arma 3 with me anymore, so I'm reduced to fooling around in single player. flying... ...roleplaying as US Army Special Forces.... ...testing unfinished addons. fun stuff

I only watched the few of her videos around the time her Kickstarter campaign was taking off. but I vividly remember watching them and thinking, "what the hell is she talking about, what she's saying doesn't really support her cause". I'd have to watch them again to say more. oh, I agree.
