Pathfinder CRPG by Obsidian?

I hope it's not turn-based, is party-based, and is on PoE's engine -
you linked back to this page, amigo

I have neither, so...

heh, that's a funny story actually. that drilling laser - no way to repair it. what's more, I did get through that corridor, almost lost half my team. went up the stairs, and there's a room with a door, that's blocked by plants. here's the funny part. I don't have any explosives to blow it up. I don't have anything to cut it down with. so I went back through the corridor of death, thank god the cripple agreed to trade with me, because I happened to have a cure for his illness on me. and he had a sickle. so now I have to go all the way back to that room on the other end of the corridor of death. and god help me if that sickle doesn't cut the hell out of that plant

I saw the new Godzilla, and it was crap... these dummies don't realize why people want to see movies about giant monsters, apparently. too much emphasis on humans, too few shots of Godzilla kicking giant monster butt. I turned it off near the end when the flippin' editor cuts from Godzilla catching the other thing mid-flight with its jaws to a scene where humans talk to each other. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! YOU DON'T CUT FROM TWO GIANT MONSTERS DUKING IT OUT TO SOME DUMBASSES MUMBLING OUT EXPOSITION!

and I don't have a mechanic... great

fired up Wasteland 2 and went to Ag Center. now, there's this basement level with poisonous gas in the corridors. was I supposed to clear it out somehow beforehand, or is this the "go into the poison and press some button to get rid of it, or die trying" scenario?

in all honesty Jessica Chastain should've been the one grabbing that Oscar. Jennifer Lawrence was good in Winter's Bone, but I'd have to look up other nominees of that year's Oscars EDIT: Annette Bening in “The Kids Are All Right” Nicole Kidman in “Rabbit Hole” Jennifer Lawrence in “Winter's Bone” Natalie Portman in “Black Swan” (winner) Michelle Williams in “Blue Valentine” welp, I didn't like Black Swan, it was inferior to the original anime in every possible way. but I can't remember how good Natalie Portman was in it. other nominees... Jennifer Lawrence is the one I would've liked to see go home with an Oscar that night

Writing in cRPG's -- a case study (Mass Effect)
sorophx replied to PrimeJunta's topic in Computer and Console
in short: **** gameplay (if you don't like Uncharted), great production values, **** story, great writing (dialogues are unbelievably good in some instances) and good voice acting to complement the writing. overall, I would recommend playing through it at least once, but make no mistake: this is not a game you enjoy beating, it's a chore you have to endure to get all the interaction between the main characters. if you like Uncharted, though, you'll love everything about The Last of Us -
In what order will you play the upcoming 3 rpgs

PoE would be my top pick, but seeing as I own Wasteland 2 already (thanks to SqueakyCat for hooking me up with a copy!) that's what I'll play through first. and after Dragon Age 2 Bio has lost all credibility with me, so any games they produce from now on will only be played by me after seeing a million videos and hearing a million opinions of them first -
imagine that and for her work in Silver Linings Playbook no less

Writing in cRPG's -- a case study (Mass Effect)

this thread has two grand reveals (for me): 1. Sponge Bob is a villain. 2. Bioware is known for the quality of its writing. I only knew post-BG Bioware for their ****ty romances and the fiasco that was NWN anyway, how can you even compare Italian and American writers? different traditions, different languages. you can't make parallels. -
I agree 100% NV is their best game in my opinion and is what I would expect from Obsidian in the future. although, I don't want anything post-apocalyptic. so no Stalker knock-offs for me. I'd much rather have a FPS set in modern times, something similar to the latest Deus Ex: politics and corporations, industrial espionage, or maybe something set in a war zone. maybe tap the Private Military Company world for a good story set-up. explore the inner workings of a Blackwater-like PMC, get thrust into a plot involving toppled governments, assassinations and high treason!

you don't compare Jennifer to the vampire chick

to be fair to both actors in those Twilight scenes, it's probably the director's fault they keep breathing hard while staring at each other in most of them. but I liked the "Alicia Silverstone of our generation" comment

only lv. 27? I guess you missed the bug where you could cap any battleframe just by standing near a certain spot in one of the locations

in case there are other people who don't want to play the PoE beta, I'd take that Steam key off your hands gladly

Fox and what's-her-name will become good actresses eventually. skill comes with experience, does it not? and I have a feeling they'll get many roles in the future
