When I was a kid, there was a firing range on the other side of the lake where I live, my grandfather did a stint in the army, and joined the homeguard afterwards. He had me tag along a couple of times to the firing range to practice, and let me shoot a couple of times, and I loved it, enough that I joined the shooting club there for a couple of years, spent many weekends shooting even though it was hideously expensive. I shot 5x5 series with an old Swedish Mauser and it cost about 250 Swedish crowns for the ammo (Adjusted for inflation, 40USD today). About two years into shooting and getting pretty good at it, our neighbour tired of the shooting range, so they bought the land and discontinued the range. The only shooting I've done since then was when helping an aquaintance with their computer, and instead of money I chose to shoot his benelli shotgun instead, the trixy bastard mixed around the shells so I wouldn't know what was coming, birdshot, buckshot and Magnum Slugs

My grandfather always told me to not use sharpening stones attached to benches and such if one can avoid it, but hold the blade and stone at eye height at all times while sharpening.

I went a bit overboard with the paste, the Kryonaut has crazy performance compared to most others. It's basically overkill if you have a standard use case, though not maybe as much if one is running a really hot cpu

Wow, dang. I went to look at that cooler of yours, and it's no slouch. I've seen plenty of people get better results than mine on air though, maybe the thermal paste isn't up to snuff or didn't get a good spread or contact?

I did three runs, the first one seemed low though to numbers I've read in other places, so I closed a couple of background programs I had for the second and third run. To be fair, the memory is running on it's XMP profile, but that should have very little effect here. 14752 15183 15145 The temps go to about 70C during these tests, and the water is decently heatsoaked, so no shenanigans there.
